Please try out build before rating. I think this build is a nice balance between damage and tankyness..

Items

Your base build is Trinity Force, berserker grieves, Frozen Mallet, and Atma's Impaler.
If a situational item is needed i usually swap out Banshee's Veil or Black Cleaver. Tanky situational items would be: Randuin's Omen, Warmog's Armor, Sunfire Aegis, and Force of Nature.
Damage situational items would be: Last Whisper, blood thirster, or infinite edge.

Summoner Spells

Usually with Jarvan i like Flash and Ignite. But i I also like Teleport and Exhaust which i will occasionally use.

Team Work/Laning

With Jarvan you have to be one of the first ones in the team fight, because your knock up and ultimate are key advantages in team fights. Jarvan is an excellent top solo because he can last hit with his passive, and he his tanky. It's important to farm with Jarvan because you don't always get a ton of kills.
