Vi
VI is very strong and big threat for kayn, why? she have big early lead. She can easily invade. She have high gank potential.
- In my opinion, avoid her and try to take objectives and counter gank her.
Yuumi
Yummi sitting on Kayn after he's gotten either form (Red or Blue), he will extremely strong and a massive threat all around the map! Super fast, a lot of healing and CC!!!

Kukiziu here!
I’ve got nearly 650k mastery points on Kayn. I started playing him almost 2 years ago. He was my third and last main, and I don’t think that will change anytime soon.
Playing Kayn really helped me understand how to play jungle better. In my opinion, he’s a pretty good pick to start playing jungle with. Why? Because he currently has a solid spot in the meta. He has EVERYTHING you could want or imagine in a jungler. That’s why I believe you should definitely give him a try.
Don’t forget though—Kayn is easy to pick up, but hard to master. It takes time to truly understand his potential and his limits—what he can and can’t do. YOU CAN'T SPEED UP THE PROCESS OF MASTERING KAYN.

When does the guide update?
– I aim to update the guide 3–4 days after each new patch is released. I always try to keep things fresh and relevant, so you’re not stuck with outdated info.
Where is kayn clear section, when it will be updated?
– I’m currently testing all the jungle clear paths available in the game to find the most efficient one. Once I’m confident I’ve found the best clear for Kayn, I’ll add the section. I want it to be as helpful and optimized as possible.
Where can i find your op.gg?
– You can find my username in the “about me” section. Just plug it into OP.GG and check out the match history or builds if you're curious!
Still got questions or didn’t see yours answered here?

x Kayn Positives
> High Damage
> Amazing mobility [Q, E]
> Can do it all: Dive backline or shred frontline
> Very uniqe, 2 forms DARKIN + ASSASIN
> High gank potentional
x Kayn Negatives
> Very weak early game
> On Rhaast, can get kited pretty hard
> Easy to pick, hard to master
> You need to undestand him
> His Blue Form/Shadow Assassin is weak late game
Before playing kayn, its good to know his negative and postivie sides. It will help you a lot in understanding him.
Choosing the right form is extremely important.
Why? Because making the wrong decision can completely affect the outcome of your game. But if you make the right choice, you’ll unlock a much higher potential to win. That’s why I’m here to help you understand which form to pick and when. So let’s jump right in!
There’s still one thing many people don’t realize about Kayn’s forms:
He gains two different types of orbs:
RED ORBS – gained by damaging melee champions,
BLUE ORBS – gained by damaging ranged champions.
A lot of Kayn players still don’t know this, so remember it!
Red Kayn (RHAAST)
The first and simplest rule:
Right now, Rhaast is extremely strong and one of the best form choices in the current meta.
The simplest rule is still true:
Pick Rhaast when the enemy team has 2 or more tanks/bruisers – but even beyond that, he’s strong into most comps right now, especially ones that don’t have anti-heal.
In Patch 15.09, Rhaast has become OP due to his insane damage, sustain, and ability to dive into teamfights and survive. His kit allows you to carry fights by healing through tons of damage, making him a reliable choice even in messy skirmishes.
Focus on:
💡 If you’re unsure or the team has some tankiness, default to Rhaast — you won’t regret it in the current patch.
Blue Kayn (ASSASIN)
Blue Kayn is still a solid pick, especially when facing squishy, low-mobility teams – but keep in mind that in the current patch he’s slightly weaker than Rhaast, especially in extended games.
Pick Assassin form when the enemy team has at least 3 squishy champions, such as Xerath, Vel’Koz, Jhin, or immobile ADCs.
He excels at fast picks and snowballing early through burst damage and mobility.
Focus on:
⚠️ Important: Blue Kayn falls off around 30–35 minutes, especially if enemies build armor or play grouped. To stay effective, you need to dominate the early-mid game. He's still viable — just make sure you have a clear plan to end fast or snowball hard.
Hybrid Kayn (Purple Kayn)
Hybrid Kayn is becoming more popular as a flexible, off-meta pick that can adapt to various team comps. He mixes burst and sustain, giving you the option to deal damage like an assassin while still surviving longer than full Blue form.
When to pick Hybrid Kayn:
In the current patch (15.09), Hybrid Kayn performs surprisingly well, especially with item combinations that give ability haste, healing, and damage.
He’s a great choice if you know how to balance aggression and survival.
🛠️ I'm currently working on a dedicated section for Hybrid Kayn, with builds, combos, and playstyle tips — stay tuned if you want to master this unique playstyle.
Blue Kayn (ASSASIN)
Blue Kayn excels at snowballing. Build your lead through a consistent flow of farming. There’s no need to force fights if you don’t have form and no one is dying.
Sometimes all you really need to do is trust yourself.
You have the perfect survival tool – your ult. Play like it. Never die with your ult available. If you’re out of abilities, just press R. There’s no need to stand around doing nothing.
Red Kayn (RHAAST)
Once you get your Darkin form, it’s time to start hunting. You can dive into almost any situation using the W-Q-AA-R-Q combo. Once you're in, wait out cooldowns and re-engage when ready.
Early and mid game are where Darkin shines the most.. Late game becomes tough unless you’re massively ahead.. Focus on early objectives and snowballing your other lanes, because the longer the game goes, the higher the chances of losing. END FAST.
Try to get both Heralds and use them to snowball other lanes. If that's not possible, go for the carries and ignore the frontline.. One-shot the most fed enemy and try to trade your life for theirs. You likely won’t survive without Flash, unless your positioning is excellent.
How to Use R.
When playing against people with Zhonya's, prioritize people without. Theres no problem if they do have Zhonya. After ulting them a couple of times you will know when to use your R.
Some people get scared of Kayn and spam zhonyas. Just wait out the zhonyas and then R out again. Your ult has a longer time than Zhonyas no stress.
When playing against enemies with Zhonya's, prioritize using R on people without it. If they do have it, no stress — after a few encounters you’ll learn when it’s safe to ult.
Some players panic against Kayn and spam Zhonya’s. Just wait it out, then ult after it ends. Your ult lasts longer than Zhonya’s cooldown, so you have time.
Remember, Kayn's R isn’t just a healing tool — it can DODGE BIG CC ABILITIES, even when you’re full HP. If you feel like you're going to die, don’t risk it. Just press R.
A Kayn without R is no better than no Kayn at all. Your ult is your most powerful asset — never forget that.
If you're still afraid of getting caught, stick near walls (especially short ones) — all short walls can be bypassed with Q. Save E for long escapes or crossing big walls.
Stealing Objectives
Start by visiting http://smiterino.com – it's a great tool to practice your Smite timing, which is absolutely crucial when trying to steal objectives.
Once you're confident, it’s time to apply it in-game. Kayn is one of the best champions for objective steals thanks to his mobility and ability to become untargetable.
The general idea is simple:
You E through the wall into the dragon or Baron pit, R (ult) an enemy champion, and wait inside them while the objective gets low. When its HP is in Smite range, Smite it while still inside your R – YES, it works even when you're untargetable.
This combo makes it nearly impossible for the enemy team to stop you, and it feels incredibly satisfying to pull off.
