The Level 2 Trick

This guide focus on getting max CDR since its crucial for most Ezreal players to have the lowest CD on his abilities.
Therefore getting the Trancendence Rune is crucial, while normally going for Adapting Storm would be the alternative - Ezreal is a spellwinder.

"Cough" SECRET TRICK "Couch"

When starting the laning phase - Use Q and get your passive Attack speed stacks up to 50% percent at level 1. And dont push the wave too hard, otherwise you will lose your stacks before you can keeping it up at level 2.
The exact moment you get the last melee minion at wave TWO, you will hit LEVEL 2 and you should hit it before your opponent, This is due to having a lot more attack to kill the minions, and then instantly level your Eup looking for an engage, while they are still level 1. Ezreal is one of the strongest level 2 champions along with having 50% increased attack speed level 2 will give you an edge for a really good trade or potentially firstblood.

When hitting lvl 4 - Use the Essence Flux to get MANAFLOW BAND stacks.

Making it to your first back

Season 8 is a bit different than the last couple of seasons.
Since the changes to the runes, his mana problems with spamming abilities is not near Season 7 and previous ones.
Manaflow band makes up for most of it, and the small changes to Tear makes him viable again even with the weakened Skill Tree when running Kleptomancy on Ezreal.

When playing Ezreal, it is all about keeping your enemies at distance and not getting shoved under your own tower. His lane presence diminishes totally if they manage to force you under tower. All mana will be spent spamming Q to lasthit and not being able to proc Kleptomancy. Therefore get your support to help administrate your lanes, 1 AA on ranged minions under tower etcetera and then use Q and W to get Manaflow Band & Kletpmancy stacks.

If you're having trouble in lane and getting enough could for Tear +(Pickaxe/Sheen) you can try to FAKE Back: GO back to tower and dont show for 10 seconds. This will sometimes make the enemies push the wave and get a good reset, but in fact you will be able to get a free wave and push your wave under their tower while doing this. You will get a good back yourself.
RECOMMENDED IF YOU NEED ~150 Gold.

Otherwise tell your support that you want to back, so they know why you should try to hard push and recall for items.

What to do when getting Sheen/Pickaxe powerspike

When you get back to lane with some Attack Damage with Pickaxe or Sheen, then its time to focus your Q's on hitting your enemy.

Its hard for them to sustain your Poke - and I would recommend to play with SMART CAST without any indicators and get a feel of your Range of your abilities.

IF you can maintain atleast 3-4 Q-hits per minute then they will not be able to be at a healthy HP limit.

This opens up for good vision and lane control, since they will have to be near tower if they do not want to die from your poke.

When you've worn them down the first time, hard shove the wave and try to roam into the river to get vision on the enemy jungler.

If BLUE SIDE, shove, rotate towards the river and ward the BLAST CONE so enemy jungler cant surprise you, not only that, you will be able to spot ganks before he can reach you. Sometimes the river brush is not enough distance to get out of lane from ganks. This prevents it.

If RED SIDE it will be the battle for PINKS(Control Wards).
You will have to hard shove a bit more, when playing Ezreal on RED SIDE.
The idea is constant shoving and mainting vision in BLUE TRIBRUSH, but they will probably try to pink and clear your vision in that brush. This is why you shove the lane, simply to force them under tower and you get a free pass to their brush "RISK FREE".

IF you are running low on wards - try to get your jungler to kill the Scuttle Crab. This will give you a nice break from spamming wards at MID RIVER (DRAKE VISION) and only focus BLUE TRIBRUSH.

After this, you can keep completely control of your lane, and call for TOPLANE TELEPORTS or call for JUNGLE GANKS via lane brushes.

As RED SIDE Ezreal, try to buy a CONTROL WARD on your first back and place it at RED TRIBRUSH (BRUSH LEFT YOUR TOWER). This will prevent tower dives from enemy MID and JUNGLE. And you will not have to refresh your Control ward every single minute.

THIS IS ABUSING YOUR FIRST POWER SPIKE

And while they're exposed farming minions under tower, it should be quite easy to land abilities on them, since they will have trouble trading back versus you, while they are occupied farming under tower.
