Cait's range is huge compared to yours and i would not recommend picking Kalista into Cait because you will get poked out of lane and have a very hard time cs'ing.

Introduction
x9 ~ Personnally i feel like Kalista benifits more off of Greater Mark of Attack Damage because of her very high scaling on her Q and E, you can also take greater mark of armor penetration, but the amount of damage you get off greater mark of armor penetration is way lower because of Kalista's high AD scaling.
x9 ~ This one is a no brainer, but for those of you who are new to runes, if you take Scaling Health or Flat Health Seals you are still way to squishy in lane, and your enemy laner will be able to deal substantial amounts of damage to you without reduction. Even the support will have hard harass on you with their auto attacks.
x9 ~ This one is a very personal choice, and i would say that you should definitely take either Greater Glyph of Magic Resist or Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist to reduce the poke of the enemy support and the mid laner late game. Other options could be Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction, but if you are managing your skills properly, Kalista has very low cooldowns.
x3 ~ I Highly recommend taking these quints as you scale insanely with attack speed early, you get bonus damage from the stacks on the E and you get increased mobility.

Offense: 21
Double-Edged Sword This is a must, to put it in perspective you are going to deal an extra 20 damage on a 1000 damage crit for one point. It's worth it.
Butcher It's sole purpose is to make farming a little bit easier.
Fury This helps Kalista trigger her passive faster and get more stacks on her E.
Brute Force More AD, what every ADC wants!
Martial Mastery Once again more AD.
Warlord One more time just so we're clear, ADCs need all the bonus AD they can get.
Executioner This one will give you a bonus 5 damage on every 100 damage hit when they are below half health, it's a pretty good mastery.
Devastating Strikes This bonus armor pen increases your damage output alot onto tanks.
Frenzy I take this on all autoattack based ADCs because who doesn't want bonus AS just for critting?
Havoc This is an amazing mastery, you get a bonus 3% damage on everything. It's one point for tons of damage.
Defense: 9
Block Great mastery in a lane against someone who is autoattack based.
Unyielding Reduces all sources of damage, why not?!
Recovery Great mastery for staying in lane longer and csing.
Veteran Scars Cause you can never have too much HP.
Juggernaut Say you end up with 2000 health at level 18 with Kalista, that's 60 hp for one point.

~ These boots are the only way to go; there is no use in buying Ionian Boots of Lucidity on this champ and as far as i'm concered these boots scale way better then Mercury's Treads or Ninja Tabi. One more thing that i really wanted to talk about, so many people have been saying to buy Berserker's Greaves - Furor and yes it does affect the distanced jumped, but i have found it to be such a miniscule difference that I personally prefer homeguards, BUT furor is a great option.
~ Rush this no questions asked, it gives you tons of stacks on e and you get insane mobility.
~ Infinity Edge is better late game for Kalista as she doesn't scale that well with it early.
~ I would usually buy this item second if i am ahead as the Infinity Edge gives more damage, but this item is better in situations that you are behind as you get more sustain and more mobility with the attack speed.
~ I think that this item is a viable choice if you are ahead, as it gives you more attack speed and more crit, but this item gives you a passive that you don't really need, because your passive is a leap and it ignores minions.
~ I will always buy this when i am behind. This item can give lots of extra gold if you buy the Avarice Blade before the Zeal, and the Statikk Shiv passive stacks on the distance traveled on your passive.
~ Must have. This item will help you tear through tanks and the sooner you can purchase this item the sooner you will stop crying about Frozen Heart and Thornmail.
~ This is almost always my last item on all ADC's. Think about it, it's a second life and you are extra tanky. Who doesn't want that?
~ Sometimes I will build this item in a scenario where I need more sustain then the Blade of the Ruined King will give me, but I would build my Statikk Shiv or Phantom Dancer first. Also you can pick instead of a Guardian Angel but only in cases when you are so far ahead that the Guardian Angel is of no use to you.
~ I personally love buying this item because you can press 2 and get out of an Infinite Duress. If the enemy team has unrelenting cc buy this item.

~ This item is something to be picked up if you are looking to snowball hard and play hyper aggressive. I personnally do not like to pick this up early game, I will tend to grab it if i have an extra 400 gold laying around after a big purchase such as Blade of the Ruined King. Always have an Elixir of Wrath active when you are full build.
~ Try to always be placing these on the map, always buying one or two when you go back (lets be real, no one remembers). Try to always keep vision of key areas such as baron or surrounding buffs.
~ Always have on of these on the map, try to buy one on first back if you can. Try to always keep that vision ward cap at 1/1 because these things can be life savers in cases such as a ganking invisible Rengar. You can also use them to clear wards from other key places such as Buffs and Dragon.

~ Lets talk about this amazing passive. This passive scales with the tier of boots that you have, so if you have Boots you wont leap as far as someone who has Berserker's Greaves. The more attack speed you have the faster you can proc your passive. You can also pass over multiple small walls and champion terrain such as Cataclysm.
~ This ability has amazing scaling and awesome base damage, plus you can use your Pierce to proc Martial Poise so you can leap over walls. You can abuse your enemy players bad positioning by throwing a spear at a minion that has a couple of stacks of Rend that the spear will kill, going through the minion and carrying the stacks to the champion. I would max this first in all situations because of the raw damage this ability has.
~ The strength of the passive of this skill depends on whether or not your support is ranged and your synergy with your support. Your support can cs for you and do ridiculous amounts of damage if you both autoattack an enemy within 1.5 seconds. The active part is basically a free moving ward that can last over a minute and a half, however it is on a very long cooldown and it can be easily sneaked up on from behind as it only gives vision in front of it. My choice would be to max this ability last as it only gives a little more damage on the passive portion of this skill.
~ This ability has endless possibilities (not really). This is an amazing execute for when you are fighting in lane and it's always close but you rip those spears out and catch them by surprise. I often find myself using Rend to outsmite my jungler on dragon and also stealing buffs from the enemy. The fact that this is an infinitely stacking skill can lead to some high damage Rend plays. Max this second.
~ Finally we are here my favourite ult in League of Legends, it can be used in multiple ways, some examples of ways i have used it: My squishy Sona support got stuck in a Event Horizon and it was a pretty fed Veigar and i pulled him out like nothing happened, another time i ulted just as a Warwick used Infinite Duress and my support was able to knock him off me. This ult can be used as an initiate, a way to save a low health support or even throwing your oponent off by ulting your support in from a very long distance away, such as over a brush. Max this whenever you can!!!

Ok now to talk about Summoner Spells.
~ This is mandatory, no matter what you say this is a must. This helps secure kills and it helps get out of those sticky situations where you've overextended without wards.
~ I would strongly recommend taking heal as your second Summoner spell, not only does it heal two people instead of only one which barrier would, it also gives a pretty significant movespeed buff.
~ Unless you know everyone on the enemy team is taking Ignite i would strongly recommend that you do not take this Summoner Spell.
~ Sure, i get it, you wanna break the meta, take Teleport so you can use Fate's Call and take your support top with you. Yes this could work, but i don't recommend it.
~ I do not recommend taking this as late game it will be useless to you. You will be dealing that much damage in one autoattack, and you already have a kill secure with your Rend.
~ Why would you ever need two exhausts? If you are saying that you only have one exhaust, then why does your support not have exhaust? This is a big no-no.
~ It's not season 2 anymore.
