outdmgs you a ton :(
can dash before your root hits her
save your root for after she lands on u/dagger (aka use it defensively, NOT offensively)
Galio
across the map ult (take TP to match his R or roam when he is roaming/missing), insane mr, punishes you easily if you mess up, good gank potential for enemy jg
use w to block his dash (can usually tell if he starts walking up on you)
Fizz
zhonyas very very necessary here
save a minion clone copy if you know his ult is up. if you hear his ult voiceline ("SHAAARK"), insta-change into minion to dodge the ult. must time it right; if you do it too early fizz will e onto you, kill your minion copy, revert you back to neeko and you will get hit by ult
Xerath
go comet
so much poke + across the map ult
he is rly squishy tho/has skill shots so dodge well, bait his stun out/block with clone, and punish him.
always ping when he has level 6/ult up, and follow him if he isn't showing in lane/roaming! he most likely will be ulting ur bot from river, so pay attention!
Sylas
go eletrocute
easy to poke, easy to root, easy to kill.
can start w level 1 to harass him with w passive (empowered auto attack)
play in ur wave if he walks up to u, so minions can block his E (dash/stun ability).
try not to use w clone to block his E as it will give him HP back; instead, use it to go invis and move urself AND ur clone away from him
Corki
Qiyana
BRING IGNITE!! dont underestimate her despite her being melee. she can burst you down easily early w ignite early (lvl 3) if you're even remotely poked down/missing the slightest hp, and she has insane reach to get to you from halfway across the lane. do not be greedy with TP and just recall if you're half/low, don't hug walls/your tower when she has ult/hits 6.
if she's aggressive, she will have her wave pushed under your tower, which makes it an easy gank for your jungler.
if she goes invis in her brush, walk back but move your clone into her brush to spot where she is
Janna
annoying asf for suppko;
if you try to ult her she'll just ult you away. save ur ult for AFTER she ults
Ahri
electrocute>comet feels better in this lane
Akali
Akshan
a good akshan is pretty oppressive to play against; will be able to tower dive you with E and get away with it
they always take ignite, so be aware of his early game damage.
can E to a corner of the lane and jump you; block his e animation with your w clone.
ping when he's missing as he might be stealthed walking in river to gank your bot/top.
Anivia
Ambessa
Annie
go electrocute
be wary when she has 3 stacks up, not 4; an experienced annie will stay at 3 stacks to bait you into coming closer to try to poke her, then spam abilities onto you to stun you.
Ashe
use W to block her ult
slows are pretty annoying but try not to put yourself in a position where she can get her Q off on you.
Aurelion Sol
use your E+Q combo when he's Q'ing wave (channeling ability)
don't stand in wave to avoid taking damage from his E AOE.
he scales later in game
Aurora
Azir
Brand
go comet
a lot of poke; stand away from minions to avoid getting poked
when his abilities are down you can try to poke him with your abilities up
Cassiopeia
Diana
Draven
Ekko
Ezreal
similar to cait; if you try to ult him with his E up, he will just E away, so make him use it first before you initate.
pokes you a lot :(
Caitlyn
outranges you.
if you try to ult her with her E up, she'll just E out of it, so make sure she uses it first.
Cho'Gath
Gangplank
Garen
you outrange him, so laning phase isn't too bad. just don't get in melee range or close enough.
if you're half hp past lvl 6, and you waste your E, he can kill you with ignite > R.
Yone
i prefer electrocute in this match-up; comet is decent too though!
give him lane/wave prio when he has his Q knock-up up (tornado around him)
if you try to E him, he can just counter E your root, so save your E when he uses his first or you are guaranteed to hit it.
Yasuo
will windwall when you E/root him, so just use Q to poke instead.
don't stand close to your wave as he can easily dash through it to hit/Q you. same thing for when you're matching him sidelane
Zyra
a lot of poke, however very squishy.
Ziggs
go comet. he pokes a lot so u want to do short trades; can go electrocute if you're confident you can burst him perma
Zilean
counters your ult with his (revive)
Zoe
electrocute/comet are both good options here; go off personal preference/playstyle. (i would go electrocute though)
use W to block her E (sleep), or if you did get hit by E, use W right before you get CC'd and use clone to block her Q for yourself.
Viktor
take comet as he pokes so u want to do short trades
outscales you
if you can get ahead of him early it helps to an extent
Vex
use w to block her ult
bait out her fear before engaging on her (red bar under her HP); you can tell if it's up depending on whether it's yellow (fear filling up) or red (any ability she uses will use up her fear bar).
Vel'Koz
take comet for short trades
outranges you + pokes u a lot
Veigar
outscales you late game.
if he's chasing you to try to ult you, change into a non champion (minion for example), so he cannot cast ult on you (must do this BEFORE he presses R on you as the ult animation can still follow through if you convert mid veigar R animation)
Seraphine
Soraka
actually don't underestimate soraka mid. can heal off your clone, so try not to put in a spot where she can Q it (circle that she calls down)
yes she is very squishy but she can still do decent dmg to you and E/silence you when you ult on her
Twitch
twitch mid usually perma roams a lot, so spam ping when he is missing !
relatively squishy tho. buy pink wards when he tries to go invis to get away to catch him.
Smolder
Tristana
can insta engage on you with her jump (W)
Teemo
the only thing he has against you is his E (blind) + very squishy + easy to ult him (no cc)
just e + q perma, if he blinds you then w for invis to stall for blind CD.
Twisted Fate
electrocute viable here
ping when he is about to hit 6
ping when he IS level 6
ping when his ult is up
take tp and save it for when he ults
be aware of your teammates hp or if they are overextended and TF is missing, so you can rotate on time
(use w in river to roam faster)
Leona
suppko
change into minion to dodge her E (sword that brings her to target direction) to avoid being hit by it
Talon
Taliyah
pay attention when she's lvl 6 as she'll be looking to roam with it to other lanes.
Tahm Kench
Syndra
out-ranges you and has a high damaging ult.
Swain
bait out his ult, and do not engage on him if his ult is up! (big red radius around him; his ult gives him bonus damage and healing per target affected)
wait until his ult is on CD, then you can re-engage.
don't play in minion wave so he has to decide if he wants to hit wave or do damage to you.
walk sideways when he tries to E you (E is his root that he pulls out and recasts to pull you back in)
Sivir
will shield your E so save ur E and poke her with Q until she uses her shield
Skarner
Sion
rly rly hard for neeko to deal with
he's simply too tanky for neeko at every stage of the game; you end up out of mana before he's close to low + hard for her to match him in sidelanes too. either try to swap with your top laner or rush liandries.
if you're ahead/fed then it's somewhat manageable but still difficult
if you hear his ult, use w + recall (to stall clone despawn); stand behind clone to make it block sion ult for you
Ryze
outscales you, and becomes very tanky with ROA once he builds it.
Renekton
has a crazy distance closing dash, so use your E/root sparingly to defensively root him if he tries to dash onto you
Rell
suppko
Rakan
suppko
tank neeko and rakan are actually very similar; mobile + engaging ult.
most good rakans will just E away if you try to root him, so throw Q onto him/auto attack and poke him with your W instead.
if he does engage onto you or use up his dash, THEN you can E him; otherwise it's very tricky.
Irelia
taking ignite won't help you.
extremely scary at all phases of the game, but especially laning phase.
this lane is all about surviving laning phase and hoping your jg ganks you
can close gap on you easily so don't stand near your wave/minions
does a lot of damage to you early so play passive (give up cs if you have to) and just let her push wave and play under your tower
a good irelia can and WILL ult you from across lane
Q a low hp minion as she will Q/dash to it (this is your only way of doing any damage to her)
use E defensively, never offensively as she will just Q away to a diff minion.
when your E is down against her you are basically useless
scary to match her sidelane as well; just have to hope your team can help you against her
Malzahar
save Q for his voidlings and oneshot them all at once
don't stand near your wave if you see his E (purple infection) on them, as it will infect/deal damage onto you.
don't use your abilities if his shield is up; auto him first to get rid of said shield, and then you can use your abilities.
Orianna
laning against her isn't bad, but its her ult/impact during teamfights that's really annoying.
Nautilus
suppko
Pantheon
poke him with q! if you e him, he will reactively E/put up his shield to negate your Q damage.
be wary of him when he gets 6, as he could roam to other lanes with it.
Mel
really annoying as she'll just perma W/reflect your E/root and play back when her reflect is on CD. only throw out Q's first, and once her reflect is on CD you can E and catch her.
if you plan on ulting/engaging her, make her use reflect first before doing so, or else she will negate all incoming burst damage.
if she throws out her E/root, sidestep to dodge it
if she Q's (conjested small circle of dmg) and she doesn't hit you with it, throw out clone to take damage from it to take the comet damage.
Morgana
block her Q (root) with your W (clone)
Lux
go comet
don't stand in waves so she has to pick between poking you or hitting waves with her abilities
Lucian
very strong early + out ranges you
Lucian
suppko
really annoying as every time you use E, he will just dash away from it.
just poke with Q until he uses his dash; then you can E > Q him. otherwise waste of mana
Lissandra
Hwei
go comet as he has a lot of poke. use W/clone to tank his ult.
LeBlanc
a lot of burst/poke.
Heimerdinger
go comet as he has a lot of poke, and you can't play up where his turrets are.
Bard
suppko
he'll be roaming a lot, so buy boots first back to match him (most likely will be ganking enemy mid)
don't be directly behind your clone nor put your clone directly behind you or else bard Q will stun you easily.
Thresh
suppko
use w and walk back to make your clone tank his Q (hook)
Yasuo
ult synergy! (if u guys can pull it off..)
Kennen
ult synergy! (if u guys can pull it off..)
Bard
ult synergy! (if u guys can pull it off..)
Jhin
suppko
can root off ur root/vice versa
can ult off ur root as well
Caitlyn
suppko
can trap off ur root

✦hi, i'm misu! ════════════════════════════════════
neeko is my love, my life, my everything; i have also played her in every role, but mid/support are my fave roles to play her in though.
i started playing league in 2021 december, and peaked at masters 200 lp this split!
i decided to create this guide as i have a lot of experience (1M+ points on 5 different accounts combined), and knowledge on neeko, and wanted to share my passion for her with others!
when i'm not playing neeko, i'm a graphic design student looking to specialize in UI/UX! so all of the headers you're seeing in this guide were made by me ♡ p.s. hire me to do your headers/graphics if you have a guide too..
keep in mind my guide is not too beginner friendly, but i've tried my best to accomodate for newcomers! feel free to ask me any questions/concerns about her gameplay in the comments, discord, or on my stream!
disclaimer: not everyone is made for neeko...
these are my socials! i'm not that active on social media,
but would love if you followed me! the fastest/most reliable way of contacting me is through discord though!
✦ high burst dmg ✦ strong early game ✦ great roam potential ✦ good wave clear ✦ insane teamfight impact ✦ good/reliable engage
support
✦ has good synergy with nearly every adc ✦ lets you roam/gank easily (w + passive) ✦ good invade potential w/ ur jg ✦ useful even when behind (good utility/cc) ✦ can be played as AP, tank, or CC/peel bot
mid
✦ gets bursted by a lot of assasins ✦ gets outranged by a lot of marksmen ✦ gets outpoked by a lot of mages ✦ easily out-scaled by a lot of champs (esp. if you don't get a good lead) ✦ weak against dive comps ✦ squishy
support
✦ squishy if u dont go tank build ✦ weak against hook/engage supps ✦ not true tank (lacks stats) ✦ no heals or shields to peel/sustain ADC
Q: when do i know which support version of neeko to go?
your default build should always be tankko. however, if you're confused or wanting a better fitting pick for your game, look in champ select at your team comp, enemy team comp, and other factors below:
