Range
Lunge distance is variable. It has the max distance shorter than
Flash but further than
Riven's 3rd
Broken Wings. The tip of the indicator should be past the wall you're trying to jump through. You also don't have to be moving or face a certain way to jump through walls. It's best to put your mouse past your jump to guarantee max distance.
Hit
Lunge cannot critically hit. The attack range is in the circle indicator (bigger than your AA range). It will target whatever you mouse over making it possible to farm a minion near an enemy champion. If you mouse over empty space, you'll attack the closest target. If an enemy champion is in your range, it'll prioritize that champion. If there are multiple champions in range, it will hit the nearest champion even if another champion's vitals are closer and the targeted champion's vitals are not in range.
It will still hit during
blind and
Jax E (the name is blacklisted for some reason).
Lunge WILL hit stealth targets as long as there are no visible targets in range. Also, will hit targets in bushes without going into them and targets over thin walls without going through them. The hit animation comes out so you know you hit something. All effects like spellblade and icy will proc but you will not be able to see it. The enemy will be able to.
Duelist's Dance and
Grand Challenge can be hit on stealth targets.
Cooldown
When you hit something with
Lunge the cooldown is reduced by 60%. CDR is taken first THEN the hit modifier so with 40% CDR and 60% cooldown refund there is still a short cooldown of about 2s. It is short and cheap to use. Jump through the jungle to farm monsters. Chase people into their base. Go anywhere. Blue buff gives you even more CDR and makes chasing you impossible.
Weaving
Lunge is an animation cancel and auto attack (AA) reset.
Lunge+AA if you can attack vitals. AA+
Lunge+AA if they engage on you. Shortening the range makes the animation faster and will speed up your combo.

Lunge well.
