The build

The order I put the items in allows you to start with ok damage and sustain, since I feel pots would be a better because you should be passive farming until you reach at least level 6 (Depending on who you are against), once you are level 6 you already have good attack speed so there is no need to get more at the start that is why I get Infinity Edge first and then finish boots. I then start my attack speed rush with a little life steal so I don't die immediately in a fight. I finish off with armour pen and ravenous hydra.

The abilities

I personally get E to start off with, making it much easier to farm with. I then max my Q, while always adding my 1 skill point in my ultimate when available. if you're behind and feel like you are dying to easily max your W for sustain.

The masteries

Running 22 8 With Master Yi allows him to deal good damage but still dipping you're toe into some defence, it may not seem like a lot of extra health and resists but its worth using.

The runes

For the runes I think this is a balance between early game damage and late game damage. The reason I use this page is because I want to have an ok early game but still taking late game into account by having armour pen marks it makes late game armour able to be passed.

When playing Master Yi

Playing Master Yi is a pretty easy concept *passive farm -> Snowball till 6 -> Kill lane opponent -> Carry late game*. One thing that caught my attention for the new Master Yi and most likely a lot of other peoples is his ability to reset cool downs with kill/assist this makes Master Yi have amazing Penta kill potential using Alpha strike several times in a team fight is extremely helpful for dealing a lot of damage to everyone and doing your job.

Backdooring and the summoner spells

The summoner spells I picked allows you to back door or reunite with your team after back dooring Teleport works well with Yi allowing him to simply Teleport to a minion wave that is pushed to an enemy tower and take it out very fast. The exhaust on the other hand is used for snowballing or getting a simple kill, using exhaust while your ultimate is active makes it easy for you to land a lot of hits before it the de-buff runs out making it more viable than ignite.
