Hi im Akai (Aaron), i'm a 19 year old still learning League player, my Goal with this guide is to improve your Akshan and have a way faster learning curve than i did. Because even tho his kit looks simple, imo he can be very hard to execute into certain matchups and games.

If you like this guide you can give my Socials a shot and give the guide "thumbs up" and maybe leave comment. (If you have any more things to add you can also comment that)

Why Should I Play Akshan?
PROS

+ Has very good Early-Mid Game
+ Extremly fun to play
+ Good Mobility
+ High skill ceiling
+ Invis + Can Revive + Resets
+ High impact in SoloQ

Why i love playing Akshan so much is just because he's so fun to play. The "E" alone is so fun on its own, to swing where you wanna go and if you land some sick "E's" you will understand the fun im speaking of. But not his "E" alone is what makes him so fun, his "Q" that extends it's range each time it hits an enemy is funny too, if you hit a snipe trough minions for example. SO FUN!
CONS

- Low Range
- If cc'ed, you're dead
- If behind, you will be useless
- R will often feel useless
- Some pretty bad Matchups
- not a lot of Skins :(

Buuuut Akshan can also be pretty frustrating, for example he has very low AA-Range, so you will be cucked by mages/or other Adc's very often, which is not fun at all. If you also count the thing that you "E" can get cancelled if an enemey stands inside you so you just stand there and die lol. Also sometimes the hitbox when you are in ur "E" is pretty dumb and stops you sometimes even if you dont hit any terrain or enemy.
Overview of Akshan's Abilities
Passive - Dirty Fighting A Double AA with a 15 sec cd Shield. Every three hits from Akshan’s attacks and damaging abilities deal a burst of physical damage. If the target was a champion, Akshan also gains a shield. After attacking, Akshan fires a second attack that deals reduced physical damage. The second shot can be canceled like a regular basic attack. If Akshan cancels the second shot he gains a burst of move speed.

Q - Avengerang A boomerang. Akshan throws a boomerang that deals physical damage and reveals enemies hit, extending its range each time it hits an enemy. Enemies can be hit once as the boomerang goes out and once as it returns.

W - Going Rogue A invis that gives you mvm-speed if running towards a scoundrel and a revive. Passive: When enemy champions kill one of Akshan’s allies, they are marked as Scoundrels. When Akshan gets a takedown on a Scoundrel he gains bonus gold, all allies killed by the Scoundrel are resurrected at their base, and Scoundrel status is removed from all other enemies. Active: Akshan becomes camouflaged for a short duration, or indefinitely while near terrain. During this time, Akshan can see trails leading toward Scoundrels and gains move speed and mana regeneration while moving toward them.

E - Heroic Swing A hook if landed on terrain lets you swing around and shoot your enemies. Akshan fires a hookshot that embeds in the first terrain hit. While embedded, he can recast to swing around the terrain in the cast direction, firing physical damage bullets at the nearest enemy while swinging. While swinging, he can recast again to jump off in the direction of the cursor and fire a final shot. Heroic Swing's cooldown resets when Akshan earns a takedown on an enemy champion.

R - Comeuppance A point and click execute which needs to charge to get the most dmg possible. Akshan locks onto an enemy champion and begins channeling power into his gun to store bullets. At the end of the duration or after recasting Akshan unleashes the stored bullets, each dealing physical damage based on missing health to the first minion, champion, or structure hit. Akshan can move normally and cast Heroic Swing while channeling and firing Comeuppance.
Runes
  • KEYSTONE
  • Press the Attack: Is the best Keystone for Akshan just because of his double Autoattack, it's very good early and late dmg. It will fall off later into the game tho.
  • FIRST ROW
  • Presence of Mind: Has very good synergy with Akshan because he is a Mana-Hungry champ, it also allows for more abilitys (Q or E) after a kill.
  • SECOND ROW
  • Legend: Alacrity: is pretty good overall, not a crazy rune, but helps you with early trades and "E" + "Passive" Dmg.
  • (1)THIRD ROW
  • Cut Down: You should almost always take "Cutdown" just because of the burst it gives you.
  • SECOND RUNE PAGE
  • Bone Plating: Is very usefull into melees like: Yasuo, Akali because it cucks their early dmg and makes them open for a trade.
  • SECOND RUNE PAGE
  • Overgrowth: Is a good combo with Bone Plating because it gives you free hp and gives you a chance to outlive abilitys.
  • (1)SECOND RUNE PAGE
  • Triple Tonic: This Rune is also very underrated i think because it also gives you 40gold for free and 20 adaptive force for a short time that gives you more kill pressure and you get a free skill for your champ.
  • (2)SECOND RUNE PAGE
  • Biscuit Delivery: I take cookies if i think it will be a harder matchup, the free hp it gives is pretty good in laning phase.
You will always go Attack Speed into Adaptive Force and then you can choose between +65 Health or +10-180 Health Scaling, if you need early hp because you think the matchup is hard go +65 Health, if you think you will outlast the early game go for +10-180 Health Scaling.
Summoner Spells

SUMMONER SPELLS
-
FLASH: is simply the best and most used Summoner Spell in League. It should be taken every time you play Akshan, with no exceptions. Flash can be combined together with your Q to perform a "Q-Flash", which is discussed in the Mechanics section of the guide.
IGNITE: is seen as the secondary Summoner Spell for Akshan. It allows you to play way more aggressive and go for many early solo kills. It also counters some champs with healing/regen like: Sylas , Vladimir, Akali. But Teleport is still the way safer option in comparison to Ignite, because TP will simply outscale Ignite.
TELEPORT: is the primary option for your second Summoner Spell slot. TP allowes Akshan to sidelane and be able to join his team, which can win many teamfights or objectives. It also synergizes well with your strong early game, allowing you to play more aggressively.
