WHY JHIN?

I choosed to play


PROS/CONS
Pros:
-Unique Laning phase (different than other ADCs)
-Lots of AD
-Can start or End a team fight By using his
-Strong in Laning Phase (Lane bully)
-Good team fights
-Satysfying Animations
-Can snowball a game easily if fed
-Hail Of Blades is really strong nowadays on Jhin
Cons:
-Skill dependent
-Very weak against assasins like

-Falls out in late game to other ADC's(if you play against a Hypercarry)
-Squishy(as most ADC)
-Requires more positioning skills than most Marksman's

RUNES

NEW RUNE SYSTEM UPDATE:
So with the new Season 8 Runes Update the standard Rune Page for Jhin should look like this:
-Fleet Footwork as your main keystone. It provides lots of sustain in lane and it is really helpfull in mid and late game when you need some healing and mobility.Currently the best keystone overall for ADC's.
-Triumph restores 12% of your health and grants 20 gold
-Legend:Bloodline gives permanent Lifesteal
-Coup de Grace more damage to low health enemy champions
Secondary tree: Sorcery
-Celerity 3% MS and extra AD based on Movement Speed
-Gathering Storm increasing AD over the whole game

UPDATE:
Now with the new 8.14 Update, one of the best keystones used on


UPDATE 8.23:
NEW DARK HARVEST BUILD"
After the changes its extremely powerfull if you know how to play aggresively and make a advantage in lane. The rework of this Rune makes it more usefull in lane as you gain Harvested Souls only from enemy champions (this Rune wont work in Jungle anymore). With this rune I personally recomend to go Lethality like in the Comet build but you can also conside Late game and go with Crit as well, is up to you from here.
Patch 8.24:
Hail of Blades is now also viable as DH has been nerfed in this patch so you can use it again with no doubt.
Patch 9.8:
It is highly reccomended to build and stack two Infinity Edges and then go some Crit items like Rapidfire and then some situational items like Bloodthirster, Mortal Reminder etc.
Patch 9.9:
Double IE build is now a must go on Jhin as well you can consdier taking the Domination tree with Electrocute and sorcery with Absolute Focus and Gathering Storm. You can also take Inspiration as the second tree but Sorcery with those two runes that I mentioned before is more gold efficient.
SUMMONER SPELLS
Flash
and Heal
will always be the go for summoner spells for all the
Marksman. Flash is important because of the mobility and play-making potential. You're laning with a support in the botlane, so being able to heal yourself and a teammate -normally your support or jungler is very valuable.



ABILITIES

Passive: Whisper Jhin's hand cannon, Whisper, is a precise instrument designed to deal superior damage. It fires at a fixed rate and carries only four shots. Jhin imbues the final bullet with dark magics to critically strike and deal bonus execute damage. Whenever Whisper crits, it inspires Jhin with a burst of movement speed.
Q: Dancing Grenade Jhin launches a magical cartridge at an enemy. It can hit up to four targets and gains damage each time it kills.
Jhin launches a cartridge at the targeted enemy that deals 50/75/100/125/150 (+0) (+60% Ability Power) physical damage before bouncing to a nearby target that has not yet been hit.The cartridge can hit a maximum of 4 times. Each kill by the cartridge increases the damage of subsequent hits by 35%.
W: Deadly Flourish Jhin brandishes his cane, firing a single shot with incredible range. It pierces through minions and monsters, but stops on the first champion hit. If the target was recently struck by Jhin's allies, lotus traps, or basic attacks, they are rooted.
Jhin fires a long range shot that stops on the first champion hit, dealing 50/85/120/155/190 (+50% Attack Damage) physical damage to it, and 75% of that damage to minions and monsters hit along the way.If Deadly Flourish strikes a champion that has been hit by one of Jhin's basic attacks, Lotus Traps, or allies within the last 4 seconds it will root them for 0.75/1/1.25/1.5/1.75 seconds and grants Jhin movement speed as though he had crit them.
E: Captive Audience Jhin places an invisible lotus trap that blooms when walked over. It slows nearby enemies before dealing damage with an explosion of serrated petals.
Beauty in Death - When Jhin kills an enemy champion, a lotus trap will bloom near their corpse.
Jhin places an invisible Lotus Trap that lasts 2 minutes and activates when stepped on, revealing nearby enemies for 4 seconds.The trap leaves behind a zone that slows enemies inside by 35% and detonates after 2 seconds, dealing 20/80/140/200/260 (+120% Attack Damage) (+100% Ability Power) magic damage (65% damage on subsequent hits and vs. minions and monsters).Jhin prepares a new trap every 0 seconds and can store 2 at once. Beauty in Death - When Jhin kills an enemy champion a Lotus Trap will spawn and detonate where they were killed.
R: Curtain Call Jhin channels, transforming Whisper into a shoulder-mounted mega-cannon. It is able to fire 4 super shots at extreme range that pierce through minions and monsters, but stop on the first champion impacted. Whisper cripples enemies hit, which slows them and deals execute damage. The 4th shot is perfectly crafted, epically powerful, and guaranteed to critically strike.
Jhin sets up and channels, enabling him to fire 4 super shots at extreme range in a cone in front of him. The shots stop on the first champion hit, slowing it by 80% for 0.75 seconds and dealing 40/100/160 (+20% Attack Damage) physical damage, increased by 2.5% for each 1% health the target is missing (up to 0 (+0)). The 4th shot crits for [0]% damage.
ITEMS/HOW TO START IN LANE
As Jhin you can start in many different ways at the laning phase, here is how:
-Doran's Blade
+ Potion (x1): The extra 80 health and 8 AD is helpful if both you and the enemy botlane have early all-in potential.
-Long Sword
+ Potion (x3):: This is a great choice against poke match-ups who have no all-in potential because you have access to start with three potions to deal with poke.
-Doran's Ring
+ Potion (x2): Take Doran's Ring against poke match-ups (like Caitlyn
and Sivir
) or in lane where you can't kill anyone , as it will allow you to farm , harass, and shove lane without having mana issues. Bouncing Grenade has fairly low mana cost (40/45/50/55/60) and a 60% AP Ratio, so it works well with the stats from Doran's Ring.

BOOTS
Boots are also a very important aspect of the match. You need to choose the correct type of them to be the most efficient! Here are the ones you can choose from:
-Berserker's Greaves
- 1100g: It gives +35% attack speed.
Boots of Swiftness
- 900g: It gives +10 movement speed over the other choices and reduces the effectiveness of slows by 25%.
Ninja Tabi
- 1100g: It provides 20 armor and reduces auto attacks by 12%. Even after the nerfs, it’s still a decent buy against assasins based on AD or just to reduce the amount of damage you take from autos in lane.
Mercury's Treads
- 1100g: Gives +25 magic resistance and reduces the duration of all CC effects by 30%.
-Berserker's Greaves

SITUATIONAL ITEMS
Sometimes you need to buy items that depend on the current situation in the match. Here are some of them:
Death's Dance
: When you feel you need lifesteal and want to increase your survivability.
Mercurial Scimitar
: When you need lifesteal, magic resist, and a way to get yourself out of CC and it gives 50% move speed for 1 second.
Bloodthirster
: Gives 20% lifesteal which is quite a big deal when Jhin's AD reaches absurdly high levels ranging from 800-1.5k AD.
Phantom Dancer
: Gives very nice kiting as well as reducing damage taken from your target by 12%.
Statikk Shiv
: Nice extra burst of magic damage if you combine it with RFC and a full Crit build. Recomended as the 4th item in the Crit build.
Guardian Angel
: It gives armor and AD. Recommended to buy when facing a fed assasin (see
Zed,
Rengar etc)
Maw of Malmortius
: This is your go-to item when dealing with magic based burst damage champions like
Syndra for example.
