With Rammus you need to focus on ganking in the early. Go standard jungle route (Gromp - Blue- Red/ Golems - Red - Blue), buy your smite upgrade and try to gank/farm till you can buy mobies with homeguard. Now you should be everywhere on the map and make them cry. Just do a jungle camp if you have smite up (most of the time). When you bought a bit of armor, you can most of the time go straight tower dive.

Well you are the most tanky person on summoners rift. So who wants to deal with you? Nobody.
Just roll in - force them to flash or just engage. But beware of your team. You dont have the dmg! Watchout for those cleanses - they will buy them! Try to taunt the important enemys - adc, apc, this top lane riven/rumble!
If your adc or apc dies to fast in the teamfights peel for them!
When you have completed 2-3 armor items you can even tank the inhib turrets.


Rammus doesnt need a lot of skill to play (point and click mechanics + unkillable), but you need to be at the right time at the right place! If you can manage this your lanes will be fed and the enemys will surrender!

Zz'Rot PortalYou can build this, if your team has problems with sieging turrets. The Spawnlings will have huge amounts of armor+MR

Iceborn Gauntlet If you want to have an extra amount of dmg and slows. Also very good if you are ahead!

Abyssal Scepter Your team has a fed apc or two and you need some mr? buy this!

Wit's End You want more dmg and mr? Here you go!

Righteous Glory They have to much sources of disengage and you cant catch up? This is your solution!

Warmog's Armor You can build this right after ou jungle item when you dont know what to build or just as last item when you have enough mr+armor and want them to kill themselves with your thornmail!

I read in other Guides about Rammus that they will never build those items on him. Well the reason is clear: If you taunt the enemy adc with thornmail, he will destroy himself with his attacks. So you want them to attack you as fast as possible.
The problem is: Everybody buys cleanse on adcs now (Mercurial Scimitar) and Supports (Mikaels). So your taunt is very useless, unless they used it before. Consequently you wont destroy them with your thornmail, because they are not forced to attack you. So why you dont just try to reduce their dmg to your teammates with Frozen heart?
