Marks
Ryga, why do you use AD Marks instead of ArP??
Well actually, that's a simple question to answer. If you have more AD early game with turtle stance, you heal faster. By the time you're level 4 or so and have tiger, the AD will really help with killing your lane as well.
Seals
Greater Seal of Vitality
Ryga, why don't you use AS seals instead of HpL??
Once again, a simple answer. HpL are my preference. I believe they help a lot with survivability but if you like AS seals go for it! This game is all about preference.
Glyphs
Woah Woah Woah Ryga, cooldown reduction? Why?? This makes no sense!
Once again, preferences. I believe the cooldown reduction really helps with stance switching, so I use it. The other option of course is AS glphs.
Quintessences
More AD? Really????
Preferences people. Calm down. If you really prefer ArP, go for it! I feel that with extra AD, I heal more while I lane for my Wriggle's.
ALTERNATIVES
Alternatives to this that I use occasionally are and .
23 In Offense?
Yes this is true that I put 23 in offense. Having ArP, AS, and Magic Penetration from masteries really helps with damage output. But your probably asking me why Magic Penetration? If you read Udyr's first skill, , which is the one you use to kill, You will see it does 170% of AD + 230 MAGIC DAMAGE over 2 seconds. That's where magic penetration comes in.
6 In Defense?
Trust me, it's only 6 Armor and 6 Magic Resist but it comes a long way early game.
1 In Utilities?
Obviously the ghost mastery. It helps SO MUCH you wouldn't believe it.
ALTERNITIVE
The most common setup for Udyr is 21/9/0
You take 2 off the attack speed mastery and put 9 in defense for the extra dodge combined with . It's pretty funny dodging people such as
Ghost is an amazing combination with and
I love this skill for getting away and for initiating fights. You may not be a tank while playing Udyr but you're pretty tanky
Exhaust is a great choice for slowing people down whether they are chasing you or you're chasing them. It also helps win those 1v1 when you randomly run into someone in the jungle and can't defeat them any other way.
ALTERNATIVES
I do not have any suggestions to alternatives except IF you want to jungle from the start. I will not be writing a guide to jungling as there are so many other guides to jungling. This is a guide on laning at least until you get a .
NOTE: MOST builds are situational

NOTE: Hopefully when you went back you had, by that time, enough for the and .

By this time in your build you should have good upkeep and be able to gank efficiently. Take advantage of that.
Next: Start your with the then the and finish it with the .
NOTE: By the time you finish this item, you are pretty darn hard to kill and your damage output is amazing if you utilize the properly with .
Next: Start your with a then a then the Catalyst the Protector
NOTE: This item is SITUATIONAL.
If you're up against a pure Auto-attack DPS team, I suggest .
If you're up against a mostly melee team that is more skill based and has high movement speed, I suggest
NOTE: I mostly get the either way because of it's active.
Lastly: Get a and proceed to finishing the and do the same thing after that.
NOTE: It is very rare that a game will last a long enough period of time to even start the first .
OPENING A FIGHT
Most Important note: ALWAYS start out a fight by stunning your opponent(s) with .
DURING THE FIGHT
While fighting however you want to always switch between , , and .
NOTE: Practice timing with this rotation. Try to time your so that it takes the effect.
TEAM FIGHTS
If your team is helping you kill 1 or 2 people and they are just running away constantly, stay in and let your team do the damage.
NOTE: Sadly to say, a fed is not nearly as useful as a fed .
LOW HEALTH
If you're trying to get away and you have low health, switch constantly between and . This maximize your movement speed and your Turtle shield.
TOWERS
Enough said. If you keep switching back into tiger stance, taking down turrets is simple. However keep in mind if you're tanking the tower to switch between and to shield yourself from some of the turret's damage.
WARDS
Always make use of the ward on your . Always ward Dragon at every chance. However if your team isn't doing that great, and it's at least 20 minutes into the game, try to take dragon (You can solo dragon easily) and use your ward on Baron.
LAST NOTE:
ALWAYS target the squishies first. Target the ones who do the most damage to protect your team.
