Champion Build Guide
Notes
Hi Friends,
I'm a support main, mainly a thresh main. I enjoy playing flashy supports who have high damage and CC, so it's not such a boring game.
Why to play Maokai:
•High Damage
•High CC
•Extremely Tanky
•Great engage champ
•Overall great support to carry low elo with
Maokai's kit lends the ability to play him with full AP to full tank, and anything in between. Any items with armor and magic resist will work well. Do not be afraid to engage with Mao, as giving your life with him will usually mean a high trade, 5v4 to 5v2.
The main build path changes every game. Adjust your build to the team you are facing and who is fed. If the enemy team is heavy AD build e.g.
•Thornmail or early bramble vest
•Frozen Heart
•Randuin's Omen
If the enemy team is heavy AP and fed, change your path;
•Abyssal Mask
•Spirit Visage
•Force of Nature
Key Points;
•Do not be afraid of roaming with out your AD to help lanes (mainly mid).
•Help with early warding in the river and pressure early dragon. Dragon souls are incredibly important in season 11 and can make or break a game.
•Be willing to die for your team if it means your engage will go in your favour. Dying as a support for a chance at a baron or dragon is well worth.
•Understand Mao's kit and how high the damage output is early game and early laning phase. Tell your ADC that you want to play aggro and do not be afraid to dive the enemy laner(s).
•Key Combos: E (slow the enemy), W, Q, Ignite or Exhaust / W, Q, E infront while they run to tower for slow, Ignite or Exhaust / R, W, Q, E
Good luck with your climb bois, please upvote and like!
