Hey all! This is a small guide about a new Jarvan IV build which features him as an assassin. Since the nerf to his W, tank Jarvan IV has been rather lacklustre, however the assassin build for him has shifted into the meta. Assassin J4 has great late game burst and early game dmg too. He can explode squishies, and lock them up, while having incredible pick potential and a rather consistent gap closer.

Out of all Assassins in the meta right now J4 is one of the best ones for locking down a carry, thanks to his ult. Even if you aren't able to fully finish him off, he will be trapped in your cataclysm and out of position and can be killed easily by ranged champions.

Assassin J4 has the power to dominate lane and still carry the game. He is also a great roamer, and can eliminate any squishy carry from the game, making him an amazing champion for solo queue.

Although this J4 build scales really well into late game, J4's natural damage in the early game is very high. Pick up a bruti early for extra damage, but only upgrade it to youmuu's late game. consistently harass with your q and extra dmg autos until you've brought you're opponent low enough to swag flag (e+q) into their face and smash them to death while ignite burns them. However, once again, this build snowballs very well, so remember to FARM UP.

Mid game you want to be roaming to help you're team. After all, J4 is a jungler, so he is a great at ganks. Ask your mid laner to inform you of when they're enemy mid has no flash/no ult if they're ult has mobility. If they're immobile, it's smart to spend your cataclysm on them for a kill. Otherwise, 20 mins in you should have hydra, bruti, and some boots, so you should be able to burst squishies if you can auto them in your cataclysm for long enough, and if you have ignite.

You have a simple job in teamfights, and that is to explode the carries. Wait for the right moment, and flash if you can, and then ult the squishies and smash them to death with you're autos and Q. Late game they should die instantly. After that you should get focused down, but to as much damage to other squishies before you go down. If you have GA, get back up and do massive dmg to other squishies. Aside from teamfights, roam through the jungle trying to pick someone off. You have great pick potential thanks to your ult being able to lock down targets. Once again, GET QSS IF YOU NEED IT. THIS ITEM IS SO GOLD EFFICIENT AND AMAZING IF YOU'RE GETTING FOCUSED DOWN.
