Introduction

My presentation :
First of all, you have to know that I'm a french guy (who said flammer?), so sorry for my bad english. Then, you have to know that's my first guide on MobaFire.

Riven :
Riven is a melee DPS with a bit of tanky. So we have to privilege DPS then Health and Durability. Riven can gank easily to. But she's better at solo top, dont forget to last hit !

Pros / Cons

Pros :

- At the Early Game with a B.F Sworld, you'll deal a maximum of dammage.
- Mercury Threads allows you to decrease time of Crowd Control.
- Very high Lifesteal with Bloodthirster coupled with Last Whisper (between 100 and 350 lifesteal per hit).

Cons :

- This stuff is expensive so you'll have to get a bit fed (like 2 or 3 kills at the Early game)
- As you're going to be fed easily, ennemies can often gank you!

Runes

First, we have to privilege Penetration Marks ans Quintessences because what ? Because Riven
is a good Off-Tank (Utility of Last Whisper)

- So First take 9 Penetration Marks

for a total of 15 ArmorPen.

- Secondly, take 9 Armor Seals

for a total of 13 Armor. This will be essential for your durability in Early Game.

- Thirdly, take 9 Magic Resist per Level

Glyphs for a total of 24,3 magic Resist at level 18. This will be essential for your durability too!

- Then, finally, take Armor Penetration Quintessences

for a total of 25 Armor Penetration coupled with Penetration Marks.

With theses runes you will be able to survive at the Solo Top, and you will be more hard to kill because of Seals and Glyphs.

You will have a total of 31Arm/Pen + 10% with masteries and coupled with a Last Whisper it's 31 + 46%, unbeliveble!

Masteries :

OFFENSE :

- Take a 21 in Offense to deal a max of Damage in Early and Late Game.
- You will be able to harrass your ennemy and take last hit easily.
- The ultimate skill "Executioner" is so beautiful.
- You will have 6% Lifesteal in early with Doran's Blade.
- You'll have + 6 Armor Penetration + 10% ! :)

DEFENSE :

- To increase your resistance and durabilty.
- To gain health per level.

UTILITY :

- Not needed for Riven.

So let's see :

Items

At the beginning, take :

BOOTS OF SPEED
+ Health Potions

It allows you to move faster and escape from ganks etc ... Potions for keep the lane.

For your first back, you have two choices :

BF SWORD

This item is the main item for Riven, allows you to build a Bloodthirster for the late Game.

Or :

2x

DORAN'S BLADE

2 Doran's Blade for the sustain + the Life Steal of Masteries you're ready for 9% Life Steal.

Then, rush your

BLOODTHIRSTER

The main item for Riven until her nerf.

Then, when you back

MERCURY'S TREADS

Don't take Tabi in my opinion, Mercury gives you Tenacity, and it's amazing on Riven.

And, if the ennemy AP is fed, start with

NEGATRON CLOAK

Or, if it's the AD, start with

CHAIN VEST

Then finish your

GUARDIAN ANGEL

It's allows you to be tanky as hell in aditional of your BloodThirster and 2 Doran's Blade.

At this moment you are fed, do a

LAST WHISPER

****in amazing for Riven, Armor Penetration in aditional of your BloodThirster, it's going to be amazing and your damages will be insane!

If the game is long do another

BLOODTHIRSTER

More sustain with your Last Whisper, you are God Like!

For the end, do

RANDUIN'S OMEN

Life, Slow, Armor, HP Regen /5...

At the end you'll have :

- 2.500 HP
- 225 Armor
- 130 Magic Resist

- 370 Physical Damage
- 40% Armor Pen!
- 43% Life Steal

- 395 Movement Speed

- 35 Tenacity

DON'T TAKE!

You are playing Riven, so you have to focus AD and Armor Pen!

WARMOG'S ARMOR

Yeah, yeah, life ... But you have 2K5 HP it's good, not needed more!

NINJA TABI

You already have Randuin and 230 Armor, it doesn't gives you Tenacity ...!

TRINITY FORCE

Your passive ...

ATMA'S IMPALER

Critics are not needed and until the nerf of Atma ... It's useless.

WRIGGLES'S LANTERN

It take times ... And your BloodThirster?!

THE BRUTALIZER

Yeah ... Cooldown but it's not needed ... Or you can take it for the beginning if the ennemy rush Armor! :)

Skill Sequence

With the new patch, you'll have to max your

BROKEN WINGS

Then, if you are in difficulty :

When you're alone with a ennemy :

Start with or if the ennemy have so much life, auto hit (because of your passive) (Trinity Force power!), , auto hit, , auto hit, , auto hit then , auto hit, to end him!

When you're in TeamFight :

Start with and make the same skill order[/b]!

Summoner Spells

The best Summoner Spells :

FLASH

I take it to chase or escape to my ennemies. It's essential if you wanna survive at any levels. And it's one of the best Summoner Spells for any characters.

GHOST

You can take this Summoner Spell to chase or escape (like Flash) but you can't pass throught the walls. So chose one of these Summoner Spells ;)

TELEPORT

If you solo top and often recall, you can take Teleport, it allow you to increase protection of your turrets or appear behind the ennemy to kill him. It's usefull in TeamFight too!

EXHAUST

If you have an AD Carry in ennemies team, take Exhaust to descrease their Attack Dammage or reverse the situation at the Solo Top (when ennemy jungler comes to gank).

IGNITE

To finish an ennemy or prevent him to heal.

Others Summoner Spells are useless for me except

SMITE

If you wanna jungle with Riven ... But my guide is Solo TOP, so if you're interesting by a jungle guide, we will see.

Early Game

At the Early Game, focus on one thing : farm.

If you thing you're not going to be fed, farm and farm again. You need to have 100 crips in 15 minutes.

Use the combo A-A-A-Z to farm easily.

Care of your ennemy and don't let him farm.

Harrass your ennemy with A-Z-auto hit-A-A-auto hit-E to go back.

Mid Game

Laning phase is ended.

So let's go in team fight, prepare your R and wait for the tank engage.

Just do the skill sequence written above.

Execute ennemies who are low-life with your R!

End Game

Now you're very difficult to kill.

You'll have a good escape + 432 Movement Speed.

High Dammages

You are normally very fed, so let's engage team fight if your tank is dead. Riven can easily do a 1v3 if she's played well. Her Skill Sequence is easily to do, so enjoy it.
