elcome to my 's Guide for Top lane.

Have you meet laning at top?I guess it's quite rare for to take top because of it's lane control. But I found it myself that he can and even can go for ranked plays.
is good at countering burst champions like // and many more common top laner.

Runes - What you need? Why do you need it?

Greater Quintessence of Armor Penetration

You get armor penetration for greater damage output and if your top oppoment don't get armor runes, you dealt Pure+EXTRA damage if their armor is very low.(I prefer Armor Penetration runes because Nocturne have In-Built AD runes([nocturne]'s[Duskbringer])

Greater Mark of Armor Penetration

You will take armor penetration runes for all offense purpose.

Most top laner are stacking AD and mostly AD Champion, get flat armor for early protection, you can get "Seal of Scaling Armor" If you wanna play late game.

Take it for late game teamfights/AP Top; You can replace with armor runes but you are very vulnerable to AP skills.

Skill Sequence - Take a good look of this one if you are not familiar with

= Gives bonus AD. Also boost you alot of movements speed but only if you are inside the range and aoe of !

= Block CCs skill. Like stun,slow,airbond,silence,etc! This is your main defensive skill also an offensive skill(Only if you blocked a skill so you get double bonus of your passive attack speed from !)
= Your only CC skill, Fearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Get at lvl 2 for an early gank.

's passive is very useful as it gives bonus AS and DOUBLE passive when you block a skill with W.

only add 0.25 bonus second per level, that is the reason you don't have to focus on first.

Take good use of , it may save your life(Karthus's when your hp low etc.) or even turn a fight for you.

The only have 1.5seconds of duration. Don't use it too late or too early.

Sometimes you can use to escape from a gank. e.g. You were ganked by 4 and there is 1 at other side.

block enemies from viewing allies and reduce their sight to 400 range.(It's very useful for helping teammates, Steal Dragon, Baron or even buffs, invade and more!

***Nocturne's lvl 1 range is very short for a smooth gank, so most likely you start roam around when you have lvl 2 .

Spells - What summoner spells should I take?

For Summoner Spells you will need these:
* For escaping and chasing power
* Depends on your play style, if enemy most likely depend on brawling. (Ignite is viable.)
For some other choices(Depends on your personal play style):

For jungle.

Just that little bit of burning to finish them off(You can save your for last hit so you don't need ).

Items - What you require? What to buy?

*Someone might ask if / is good for him? Yes it is but still prefer lifestealling and higher damage for critical hit!

*You can upgrade into first instead of buying another

*Depends on the situation, sometimes you will have to go / first for more HP capacity.

*You can trade a with if needed.(Enemy has too many AS/for your Team combo!)

*Remember you can trade with a if needed. Even ais good for him sometimes.

*Upgrade to tier-3 boots when its time, e.g. after you bought core item or when you need more chasing power.

*You gain a total of 36% lifesteal at 0 stacks, 54% lifesteal at 3 with full stacks!!!

* Also if your support buught a Zeke's Herald, you got 10% bonus lifesteal! In total YOU HAVE 64% Lifesteal!!!

Farming - How to farm with this champion?

Oh no farm with at top?! You can say that is not a good top laner, but keep in mind that its not a Perfect top laner, it still means its viable for to take top lane.
's passive is bad for maintaining the lane as deals damage in AOE but he is very easy to farm with. But no worries you can Push as much as you wanted cause you have early game power.
*But remember to ward the deadly river and bushesss.

Pros / Cons

Pros

+Gives bonus damage output even late game.
+Free block spells even lower cd than and with bonus attack speed.
+High Attack Speed.
+Agility(Easy to catch mobile enemy that have Blink skills/.)
+1v1 = Profit

Cons

-Weak if item was builded in wrong way.
-Easy to get ganked.(Umbra blades pushes alot!)
-Lack of CCs.
-Can be countered with Armor but no problem.(That's why my guide purpose is lifesteal to win)
-Meele Champion

Unique Skills - Some combo technique I learnt myself

Remember that 's passive deals 120% damage to enemy around him.
