Hello to all of you Viktor lovers =)... So I decided to write this, because i bought the Champion a long time ago, and I just fell in love with him. He's a very unique champion for various reasons... I sure hope you recognize that in this guide =P.

The usual 21/0/9 build for Casters, other possibilities, but this is made for highest damage output.

There are various other possibilities, like 9/0/21 or the tankiest of them all 9/21/0.
But I simply do not recommend it.

Why these runes?

Greater Mark of Magic Penetration - It's an early damage boost, Really these Marks are underlooked =3.

Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration - Mana regen/level, you see Viktor is kind of mana hungry and so, this will fix that problem =).

Greater Glyph of Magic Resist - Magic resist to counter your ap carry enemy since some champions can counter Viktor pretty hard, so this is to help you sustain

Greater Quint of Swiftness - Movement speed, Viktor is supposed to be a mobile champion but one thing he lacks is mobility (Yes, I know..)... So Using Quints will help you do a lot more damage fast and get out since your harass is rather close.

space For that moment where you get ganked or when your enemy has low health ;) space No more running away for your enemies =D. space This with Augment: Power the Fastest AP carry out there =D.

Other Viable choices

There is no summoner spell for Viktor more efficient than Flash, Ignite and Ghost.

Abilities Explanation:

This is one of the things that make Viktor such an unique champion... Will Talk about this in the next section.

Fast nuke, besides it gives a shield =D.

To me, This is one of the best ccs in the game, simply because it slows, which helps, and then it stuns.. LIKE... OMGWTF??!!?!?!

Such a troll skill, I mean really... It has really nice range, and you just aim it, once it hits someone... It's just plain hilarious =D.

Here's the deal to this ultimate... Since it's summoning damage isn't the highest out there, you gotta make the most of it's Damage/sec, and it may also fool alot of casters... Cause it has a initial silence ;3.

I max Chaos Storm First(ULTIMATE), then I max Death Ray right after for maximum harass potential. Following with Power Transfer and Gravity Field

Why this order?
Well, I relooked this after one of the members of the community said some pretty interesting things so I decided that you need to harass with Death Ray and combo them while Death Ray does more damage.

Why this order?
Well, Let's say you're playing against a fast champion, and you just don't know how to aim your Death Ray... Then yeah, this is the build you'd follow. this is the Easy HARASS order.

The Unique Passive

So, I decided to make a special section just for Viktor's passive.
What is this passive?
Well, This passive gives you a starting item, that can be built into one of three items... which are Augment: Death, Augment: Power and Augment: Gravity

What do they do?
This staff's special buff is that, it increases the CASTING RANGE of your Gravity Field... No, This does not increase the size of the field. So I relooked this item, and I found that it can have it's ups and downs since it also gives some nice cooldown reduction with it.

This staff's special buff is that, whenever you land Death Ray on your enemy, he gets set on fire, which deals 30% additional Magic Damage/4 seconds... This is probably one of the most frequently used staves... It's like an ignite.

This staff's special buff is that, when you land your Power Transfer on any target, you will receive a movement speed buff of 30% for 3 seconds... This is probably my favorite upgrade... It's awesome for poking before a team battle, cause you can just hit and run ;).


The staff you choose, is completely based on how you're doing on your lane... If you are getting owned in your lane then Augment: Power is your option, if you're owning your lane then Augment: Death is your option... Now, if you are bored... then Augment: Gravity is your gal.

The basic shoes for mages.

Well, This was re-worked, This item is def something to consider more than the others... Not saying the others are bad though.

Alright, So I had overlooked this item before, and now it makes perfect sense to actually go and make this... and I'll explain why... Making the Chalice of Harmony early means you'll have Magic resist to go against their AP mid, and finishing the item off will give you Cooldown reduction, mana regen, and ability power.

A huge Ability power boost... Most AP carries get this.

Health and Ability power and a nice slow. Reason I'd get this is because, I honestly don't like relying on my Gravity Field for the slow... Simply because the cooldown is long-ish... So, I'd prefer having a slow on all my abilities xD.

I really didn't bring this item to much consideration but after realizing that it's is kind of a must to have penetration... I replaced the Abyssal Mask with this item.... I know it doesn't give you much resist but the damage you'll do will be much more than with an Abyssal.

Situational Items

Useful if you're new to Viktor and also gives a bit of a health boost.

Alright, this item, Yeah, I like it alot... But I would recommend getting this, IF!!!!!! the tanks are too much for you, if that's the case... Then this is your item.

This item, I really overrated it before, but I really don't like it on Viktor. Only get it if you're going straight on against high damaging mages (3 or more Ap heavy champions on the enemy team)

Turns your AP into your next attack =D... If you must have this item... Get it.

Now this item... Is one of the most dangerous investments that you can make. ONLY BUY THIS IF: You're sure of how you play, you can assure early kills or your team insists on getting you fed early.

Alright... This is a nice item too... I would never take it to late game, but... If the enemy team has a Dr.Mundo or a Swain or carries with fast healing like Fiora, Lee Sin, Nidalee and so on.

Yes, I recommend this, but only if you are heavily poked.

Alright, Maybe Viktor doesn't have an ultimate like Morgana's, Swain's, Fiddlesticks', Kennen's... but using this when team battles start and they want to focus you... gets you away for a few seconds =)... and good armor boost.

This is technically recommended for most champions cause it boosts pretty much everything... But, if you have to get this... then the game is pretty much lost... unless a Miracle is about to happen... This is based on Viktor.

Laning enemies

Difficulty Level: Easy
Augment Recommended: Augment: Power
When Laning against Ahri try to avoid getting hit with her Charm since she can nuke you down with her Orb of Deception+ Fox-Fire combo.
Tip:Harass Ahri early before trying to secure the kill.CAREFUL WITH Spirit Rush, You can lose a kill with this.


Difficulty Level: Medium
Augment Recommended: Augment: Power
When Laning against Akali keep in mind she can be a pain after level 6 when she gets Shadow Dance. Avoid getting nuked with Mark of the Assasin+ Shadow Dance combo.
Tip: Land your Gravity Field on top of yourself when you notice Akali is going to Shadow Dance to you.


Difficulty Level: Medium
Augment Recommended: Augment: Power
When Laning against Anivia make sure you don't get stunned with her Flash Frost cause she'll Frostbite you (Yes, It hurts).
Tip: Get rid of her egg really early game, so you can get a gank kill from your teammates.


Difficulty Level: Easy
Augment Recommended: Augment: Death
Annie is one of the easiest champs to lane against. When laning against her make sure to pay attention to her passive Pyromania, when it is activated, be careful when getting stunned. It can hurt... But Viktor Has much easier harass with his Death Ray.
Tip:Don't let her get farmed


Difficulty Level: Medium
Augment Recommended: Augment: Power
When Laning against Brand, It's recommended to start with Boots of Speed and 3 Health Potions.
Tip: Avoid getting hit with Pillar of Flame, if you do, everything will be a breeze.


Difficulty Level: Easy
Augment Recommended: Augment: Death
When Laning against Cassiopeia, For her to harass you, she'll have to get kinda close to you, and when I say close... I mean close enough for a Death Ray so you just Laser her ***.
Tip: When Cassiopeia gets to 6 and receives Petrifying Gaze, she might be a bit harder to go against, so if she starts getting more aggressive than usual, just know that they are going to gank you and you will die, if you don't play more passive.


Difficulty Level: Medium
Augment Recommended: Augment: Death
Ezreal can get so annoying with his Essence Flux, so don't give him a straight shot.
Tip: The range for Death Ray is a bit longer than his Essence Flux so keep that in mind.

Laning against Fiddlesticks avoid getting feared, and if he's going to fear you... You stun him. Simple.
Tip: Avoid getting bounced back and forth with Dark Wind cause most Fiddlesticks while laning against Viktors will be sure to max Dark Wind over Drain.


Difficulty Level: Easy
Augment Recommended: Augment: Death
Fizz is closed range, so this shall be easy...
Tip: Maxing Death Ray over Power Transfer is more reliable since getting in range for Power Transfer is dangerous cause Fizz can Seastone Trident+ Urchin Strike+ Playful/Trickster.


Difficulty Level: Hard
Augment Recommended: Augment: Power
Galio counters most AP carries, Viktor is no exception, although it is highly possible to own Galio in the lane with no problems.
Tip: You can max Power Transfer over Death Ray or just max them evenly, won't make much of a difference.


Difficulty level: Medium

Most Gragas max Barrel Roll over Body Slam so whenever he throws his Barrel Roll at you, DODGE IT, IT HURTS!!!.
Tip: He will get close to harass with his combo, if he Body Slams to you, just throw that Gravity Field on yourself, and everything will be Kay! =D.


Difficulty Level: Medium
Augment Recommended: Augment: Death
Heimerdinger is a champion that can set turrets, and those turrets hurt, if he's maxing them... Try to not get focused on by the turrets.
Tip: Harass with Death Ray, Don't get in close for Power Transfer too much, cause he'll just missile you if he gets the chance.


Difficulty Level: Easy
Augment Recommended: Augment: Power
I consider Viktor a counter to Karthus simply because, you can deny Karthus farm, and he won't get much of a chance to harass you, if you keep those abilities going.
Tip: Just run away from his Lay Waste and harass him.


Difficulty Level: Hard
Augment Recommended: Augment: Power
Yeah, Kassadin hurts Viktor... You can't get in range to Power Transfer because you'll get Null Sphere'd, and once Kassadin reaches level 6, his Riftwalk owns you.
Tip: Harass Kassadin as much as you can before he reaches 6... Max Death Ray first, since if you get in range for Power Transfer he'll combo you, and I'm sure you don't want that, other than that, use your abilities to farm if he doesn't allow you... and the only thing I can tell you is... DON'T FEED HIM.

Augment Recommended: Augment: Death
Katarina used to be an easy champ to play against as Viktor but after they remade her, things became kind of different... She's seriously one of the strongest AP carries in the game right now.
If she's getting close to Bouncing Blades you, then get back... She's going to Q+E+W and it will chunk you a lot... ~~If you play very passive, you won't die but you definatly.

Difficulty Level: Easy
Augment Recommended: Augment: Power
Look at that, someone that counters Morgana... So avoid her Tormented Soil and dodge those Dark Bindings.
Tip: Level Death Ray and Power Transfer evenly, and just harass the **** out of her.

It's easy to harass leblanc, avoid her Sigil Silence+ Distortion combo, cause yes, it'll silence you.
Tip: Leveling Death Ray over Power Transfer is more reliable going against her since you need to harass from afar so she doesn't poke you... and if u prevent her from farming early game... trust me, the lane is yours.


Augment Recommended: Augment: Power
Xerath is a very strong and yet underrated champion, I simply love him. Make sure to prevent the Arcanopulses poking and the Mage Chains+ Arcanopulse combo, cause it'll hurt.
Tip: Whenever Xerath gets into Locus of Power mode, RUN TO HIM, YES, RUN TO HIM, throw all your combos right at him, make sure you do this after you get your Augment: Power so you can poke and run.


Augment Recommended: Augment: Death
Most Kennens will start building early Spell vamp Will of the Ancients. Reason I recomment the Death augment is so that you can poke without having any problems with his extreme sustain..

He's a hard lane to go against cause if you get one bit too close, he'll just throw his combo at you easily.... Especially when he's level 6 and has his Living Artillery, he'll just spam you down with it.


Augment Recommended: Augment: Power
I Recommend the POWER Augment because if you're fast, lux can't land her snare... Which means she can't combo you.... keep that in mind.


Augment Recommended: Augment: Power
I bet most Malzahar players didn't know that Viktor is extremelly strong against him.
Well Laning stage is stable, Mid game and late game you dominate.


Augment Recommended: Augment: Gravity
Mord is probably one of the only AP casters I recommend building a Gravity augment... you need the range on your stun, and you also need the health to withstand getting poked... I also recommend a Will of the Ancients so you can sustain your lane and actually farm... keep both sides of your lane warded.


Augment Recommended: Augment: Power
Augment Power will keep her from getting her cougar form combo on you.

Augment Recommended: Augment: Power
Oriana is not easy. She has too much lane control. Good Orianas will keep you at your feet in laning phase. Which should bother you alot... But if the poking becomes too persistent then just make a Will of the Ancient and finish your Athene's Unholy Grail first.


Augment Recommended: Augment: Death
Poke with your Death Ray and if he gets in range to Overload hit him back with a Power Transfer.. You'll get him more than he gets you.


Augment Recommended: Augment: Death
Keep your distance, If he attempts to land his Nevermove too often throw your Gravity Field down... you can't take much damage from him... Too much sustain and DPS.
