PASSIVE- Pit Grit

Sett actually has two passives. The first is Heart of The Half-Beast. This passive allows Sett to regenerate |0.15/0.5/1/2| Health per second per every 5% of his missing max Health. His second passive, Heavy Hands coincides with his basic attacks. They alternate between a left and right punch. His right punch is special, because it has 50 bonus range, attacks 8 times faster than his left, and deals 5 x (his current level)|+55% bonus AD| physical damage.

Q ABILITY- Knuckle Down

Knuckle Down is Sett's Q Ability. It empowers his next two auto attacks for 5 seconds, gaining 50 bonus range and 10/20/30/40/50(+1%(+1/1.5/2/2.5/3% per 100 AD) of target's max Health. Sett will also gain 30% movement speed for 1.5s while facing a visible enemy champion within 2000 units.
(approximately the amount your screen displays at a time)

W ABILITY- Haymaker

Haymaker is Sett's W ability. Sett's passive stores 100% of post-mitigation damage taken as Grit. This scales on 50% max Health. When activated, Sett grants himself a shield equal to his Grit stored, lasting for 3 seconds, and decaying after .75 seconds.

E ABILITY- Facebreaker

Facebreaker is Sett's E ability. Facebreaker allows Sett to pull enemies towards him from his front and back sides. The enemy(or enemies) is/are slowed by 70% for 0.5s. If Sett pulls in at least one enemy on both sides, he will instead stun them for 1 second after cast animation.

R ABILITY- The Show Stopper

The Show Stopper is Sett's ultimate ability. When The Show Stopper is activated, the selected enemy champion is suppressed, and Sett will dash to them, later leaping 600 units in the same direction, slamming the enemy into the ground and sliding behind them. Sett deals |200/300/400(+120% bonus AD)(+40/50/60% of primary target's bonus health)All targets hit are slowed by 99% for 1 second.

Primary Keystones

Glacial Augment

Glacial Augment is a rune activated by Sett's E and R abilities. Activation creates 3 rows from the affected enemy that lasts for 3+[100% of the immobilizing effect duration] seconds. Enemies in the zone are slowed by 20% and deal 15% reduced damage to allies, but not you.

Guardian

Guardian is a rune that when either you or an ally within 350 units of you take damage, a shield is applied to both. This rune requires you to always be near your ally (particularly when it's up). This rune also scales on 95% of your AP and 8% of your max health. Since you don't use AP as Sett, you will be scaling it off of your HP.

Aftershock

Aftershock is a rune that works off of your E and R as well. When you immobilize an enemy, you gain a set amount of bonus armor and magic resist for 2.5s. After the duration, you release a shockwave dealing magic damage in a radius up to 350 units.

Path Options

Resolve

Resolve is simply described as "durability and crowd control". With Sett being a tank, this is a pretty strong option. This path is one of my favorites because it offers the most options for Sett. Below are some Resolve rune options.

Font of Life

Font of Life is one of my must-have options. When you immobilize an enemy (E or R) an ally who later auto attacks them within 4 seconds will heal 5(+0.9 max health%) over a period of 1.75s.

Demolish

Demolish is pretty good for when you can roam freely and help allies on pushing their turrets as well as your own. Only pick this if you know for sure you'll be spending time pushing turrets.

Shield Bash

When you gain a shield (namely your W), you gain a set amount of bonus armor and MR. Your next basic attack bonus damage based on your bonus health, and the size of your shield. The bonus attack will last for 2 seconds after your shield expires (If your shield isn't destroyed, that's really 5 seconds in total.)

Conditioning

Since I am not a fan of armor on Sett (unless you really need it) and this rune actually doesn't apply until 12 minutes into the game, it's more of a play at your own risk pick.

Second Wind

Second Wind is always a viable choice, especially in games where you are getting poked a lot, usually by a double ranged botlane. Good option to consider on Sett.

Bone Plating

Bone Plating can be picked instead of Second Wind if you prefer getting defenses during a fight, since this rune gives you a damage reduction on the first 3 attacks/spells enemies deal to you. However any ranged champion can easily proc this and waste it, so watch to make sure it's available when you go in to get the most out of this rune.

Overgrowth

Overgrowth is a strong option for Sett. Every time 8 monsters or minions die near you, you can earn 3 max Hp. This stacks infinitely. Also, when you earn 15 stacks (120 monsters/minions) your base and bonus health permanently increase by 3.5%.

Revitalize

You should only take this if you are taking heal or shield items. It makes your shields and heals 5% stronger. If the ally you are targeting is below 40% that bonus increases to 10%, pretty cool huh?

Unflinching

This rune gives you bonus tenacity against any cc from 5-25% based on your missing health. Good for high cc enemy teams. (or some dumb tank support with 70 different ways to make your life miserable ~~LEONA~~)

Precision

Precision is simply described as "Improved attacks and sustained damage". I do not take Precision often, unless I am playing Conqueror's or Glacial Augment, and want Precision as a secondary option.

Triumph

Since I am not a fan of armor on Sett (unless you really need it) and this rune actually doesn't apply until 12 minutes into the game, it's more of a play at your own risk pick.

Second Wind

Second Wind is always a viable choice, especially in games where you are getting poked a lot, usually by a double ranged botlane. Good option to consider on Sett.

Starter Item

I know that right now, my only option is Steel Shoulderguards. It is also possible to take Spectral Sickle, but it requires a very very aggressive Sett playstyle, which is fine! If anyone is interested in me adding a Spectral Sickle based build, please let me know in the comments :)

Steel Shoulderguards

Steel Shoulderguard can be considered the must-have support item for Sett. It offers AD and health stats. every 35 seconds, you will gain a charge that lets you execute a minion at or below 50% hp. this grants equal gold for you and your closest ally.

Legendary Items

Knight's Vow

is an item I use almost every game. This item has a unique active: a conduit which allows you to absorb 10% of pre-mitigation damage your ally would otherwise have to take.

Dead Man's Plate

is a great option for Sett. It has some armor, and HP, but most importantly, a speed passive. Whilst moving, you can stack up Momentum, which offers you a speed boost, and can be consumed with an auto attack that deals bonus damage.

Anathema's Chains

is more of a situational item. You may usually take this as a 3rd or 4th item, if you notice one particular enemy is dealing way too much damage and you gotta tank it. It also reduces your Nemesis' tenacity by 20% when you are near them and fully stacked.

Black Cleaver

is not an item I commonly take. However, in cases where you may have gotten a few kills, or are ahead in lane and feel comfy in teamfights, this item can give you solid HP and AD.

Chempunk Chainsword

is also pretty situational. If you notice the enemy has multiple sources of lifesteal/healing, you can take this item if you still want Grievous but prefer the HP and AD stats over Thornmail.

Gargoyle Stoneplate

is a pretty rare item that I hardly ever take. However, if the damage from enemies is too much burst, and armor/MR is necessary, you can take Gargoyle's to tank a lot of damage.

Redemption

Okay, okay. Hear me out on this one. I know it sounds troll with some of the stats, but it's super cheap, can be bought as 2nd or 3rd item, and heals enough to go toe-to-toe with enchanters. You can also activate it if you're dead! (which happens a lot when you throw yourself into 5 enemies)

Randuin's Omen

in general is not a common item. However, it's pretty good if some AD assassins on the enemy team have gotten fed, and are slippery too. The item's active slows down nearby enemies and passively reduces crit damage as well as reduce post-mitigation damage per cast.

Spear of Shojin

is an item I'm more likely to take if my build is more damage based and I'm ahead after lane. Not too much to say, but the item goes well with Sett, and even has a speed boost that scales with missing health.

Spirit Visage

You should definitely buy this if you have 3 or more AP enemies, and/or a very fed AP enemy. It gives a nice bonus on any healing shielding you receive if you have an ally enchanter, or maybe an Orianna/Annie mid.

Sterak's Gage

not a common item. You can build it as a 3rd or 4th item if you wanna tank up. I like the %AD bonus and the shield you receive when HP goes at/below 30%.

Warmog's Armor

Mathematically Correct Sett, anyone? JK but the item is pretty cool to take if you're in a lot of fights and can survive them. Great if you want to take a max HP build for some reason.

Sunfire Aegis

I dont take this item too often, but it has solid armor, and Bami's is always a nice bonus if you find yourself in super long teamfights. Definitely consider it if you have a lot of enemy AD.

Thornmail

This is the item you take if the enemy is healing a ton but you don't wanna take Chempunk. Why not Chempunk? Maybe it's a fed AD champ, like Darius(gross)or Yasuo(also gross) and you wanna hold them off for the damage dealers on your team while surviving it like a pro.

Abyssal Mask

Okay, super duper uber situational item and rare too. Take this if both your team and the enemy have multiple AP champs. It helps your allies by reducing MR on enemies, and increases your own, based on how many nearby enemies there are.

Vigilant Wardstone

You will be buying this item if the game is 40-50+ minutes long (aka epic lvl 18 mode). Just sell your sup item for this one as a sort of final upgrade. You don't need to get it right away, and can only be bought after completing supp quest.

Mythic Items

Radiant Virtue

This item feels decent as a healing option. The mythic increases your max HP by a set% and heals all allies within 1200 units of you by 2.5% max health. When you apply the math, if you have 2000 HP, you receive 250 bonus hp(the 12.5%) which only ends up healing 56.25 Hp. However, it gets better as you build more HP over the course of the game.

Stridebreaker

has become somewhat of a staple mythic for me. If you have a gold advantage and can buy this without too much problem (cause it's pretty expensive), this item opens tons of opportunities for you, and multiplies your CC utility for the team.

Locket of The Iron Solari

is a good mythic if you have some squishy allies, and want to make sure they have some extra survivability with your shield and Armor/MR bonus.(you can buy this with Redemption, it gives you a shield bonus!)

Heartsteel

When Heartsteel was first released, I took this as a mythic almost every game. The only reason why was the infinite stacking HP. Now, not so much. You can take it if you have an early gold lead and it's easy for you to earn stacks in most if not all stages of the game.

Evenshroud

depends on team comp. If you have a lot of enemies with CC, you can increase the damage taken by any enemies near you for 5 whole seconds.

Iceborn Gauntlet

Not a sucky mythic. Any of your abilities can activate the slow buff. Just remember you have to auto them after. It also gives a decent damage reduction if they try to attack you within 2.5s.

Jak'Sho, The Protean

As a general rule for Sett, HP>Armor. However, if your team isn't looking so hot, and you desperately need a strong frontline, this is a viable mythic.

Goredrinker

I don't take this too often. Maybe if you have gotten fed, and feel confident enough to keep a steady lead without making ADCs ego hurt too bad it's a decent option. Please don't take it if you know the enemy is slippery. You are better off taking Stridebreaker then, and can still apply your lead. (Basically, build it if you can sustainably duel with other enemies, and it wont hurt your team in utility.)

kit is easy to learn and simple.
can deal tons of true damage.
E is the bane of all ADCs muhahahahaha
beat up ADCs for fun

CONS

Sett can get poked down easily
Sett is relatively slow against some champions
Sett only has one viable source of CC pre-6
(more of a warning) teammates might get freaked out seeing a Sett Support. You might even get flamed, so just mute them, 100% chance of improving gameplay.
When Sett falls behind, he falls behind.
Sett Support is harder to learn. Playing Sett in this role is also very humbling, as it requires you to put another player first, and sometimes give up what makes Sett such a strong champion for the sake of utility. (do one for the team guyss)
early game long cooldowns (feels bad man)
hard to disengage
