Ezreal Passive Ability
Introduction
I have been playing Ezreal for quite some time now, so I figured to share my guide with the rest of the world!
ON TO THE GUIDE!!!
Pros
|
+ Good Scaling + Great Escape + Awesome All Around Damage + Stacking Passive Steroid + Good Poke |
Ezreal has a stacking passive the gives him attack speed with every ability that hits an enemy Rising Spell Force.Ezreal has great poke early on and late with Mystic Shot. Along with good poke, it scales with both AP and AD. Another good poke tool/High AP damage is Ezreal's Essence Flux. Ezreal's built in escape or initiation is Arcane Shift. Which also scales off AP. Finally he has a mega global Trueshot Barrage banana to finish off his foes. |
Cons
|
+ POSITIVE ATTRIBUTE + No CC + All Skillshots + Squishy + Some Early Mana Problems |
One of the things that Ezreal lacks is Crowd Control, but a good support can make up for that. All his abilities are skillshots, not counting his Arcane Shift. This however I look at as a plus because I love skillshots. It may not fit your play style though. His early game can be weak with some mana problems. Finally he is squishy almost all game, ilke most ADC's are. |
Runes
- Greater Mark of Attack Damage: Adds roughly an extra 8.55 Attack Damage. These plus your Quints will equal up to the max of 15 extra Attack Damage.
- Greater Seal of Armor: Helps Ezreal defend a lot of earl game harass from any basic attack or spells that deal physical damage.
- Greater Glyph of Magic Resist: Helps Ezreal against most support and some champions whose spells deal magic damage, such as Corki. Should give you about 12 Magic Resist.
- Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage: Adds roughly an extra 6.75 Attack Damage to your beginning game, which is almost essential.

Hitting a target with any of Ezreal's abilities increases his own attack speed by 10%. This effect lasts for 6 seconds and stacks up to 5 times. This passive is basically spammable, so you should try to hit as much abilities as possible.
Ezreal fires a bolt of energy in a line that will deal physical damage and apply on-hit effects to the first enemy it hits. If it strikes an enemy unit, all of Ezreal's cooldowns will be reduced by 1 second. This will be your main damage output ability.
Ezreal fires a wave of energy in a line. Any enemy champions it passes through are dealt magic damage, while any allied champions it travels through have their attack speed increased for 5 seconds. This is your secondary ability, although it won't output lots of damage, it will do enough with an AD build.
Ezreal instantly teleports to a nearby target location and fires a homing bolt at the nearest enemy unit within 750 range, dealing magic damage to it. Use this for an escape, or even initiation if you so wish.
After gathering energy for 1 second, Ezreal fires a powerful, broad energy missile that travels in a line across the whole map dealing magic damage to each enemy unit it passes through. It will deal 10% less damage for each subsequent target hit, down to a minimum of 30% damage dealt. This is your global ultimate banana! Use it to finish off your enemies.

I chose these boots over Berserker's Greaves because Ezreal's passive I believe, if used correctly, can be enough attack speed. The extra cooldown reduction on these boots are defiantly useful |
If you have ever read the tool tip on Trinity Force, you should understand why. The tip says "Tons of Damage" and it is 100% correct. This item adds ability power AND attack damage, making all of Ezreal's skills instantly better. The spellblade passive from Sheen makes Ezreal's basic attacks do more damage after an ability is used. This is why Arcane Shift can be used as an initiation. Trinity Force will be your core item. |
Quite possibly the best item for an ADC to grab at some point, the Infinity Edge. This will add an extra 80 attack damage AND an extra 25% critical chance. This item enhances all auto attacks, and Ezreal's main damage output. The extra critical chance and attack damage also stack nicely with alot of other items. |
The Phantom Dancer adds absolutely 0 extra attack damage. To be honest, really, it doesn't need it. When you opt-out of Berserker's Greaves grabbing this will greatly multiply your attack speed, as well as your critical chance. After this item, Ezreal's auto attacks become even more lethal, with the total critical chance being at 65% |
With this item your opponents are sure to start crying for mercy, as your super lethal auto attacks can pierce through the armor that they spent the whole game stacking. as Ezreal deals magic damage with abilities and physical damage with auto attacks, he is a killing machine. The only item in the game with both armor and magic resist stats is the Guardian Angel. They will die much to fast for it to matter though. |
Ezreal is extremely fun to play and is relatively hard to get used to, but it will come. Thank you for all reading my guide. If you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns, feel free to comment and i will try to respond to every one possible!
Thank you and have a great day
