THOMAS KENCH JUNGLE DESTRUCTION S11 (OUTDATED)

INTRO
[TAHM HAS BEEN REWORKED; SINCE HIS W IS NOW HIS R THIS IS NO LONGER VIABLE

Tahm jungle is a good pick that's been underrated for a long time. It's been used a bit more recently, and YouTuber/Twitch streamer KingStix recently made a video on it. If you've wanted to play it, this was the right place to go
PROS AND CONS
PROS:
- Healthy clear
- Strong early game
- Insanely strong 1v1s (especially with HOB)
- Very potent CC
- Does well against meta junglers (Graves, Khazix, Nunu, Evelynn, Ivern)
- Uncommon pick, many people don't know how to play around/against it
- Can gank lanes very easily post-6 and post chemtank

CONS:
- Can get kited out easily
- Doesn't scale as well as other tank junglers (Nunu, Rammus)
- Low sustain
- Very bad 1v2 (coordinated invades)
- Poor teamfighting
RUNES
Here I'll go over all the keystones I included in the Runes part. Secondary runes are all up to you and your playstyle. Personally I recommend Inspiration, because Approach Velocity is very good on Tahm. It isn't necessary 100% of the time, but you will feel the difference.

HAIL OF BLADES
This is by far the strongest keystone in the jungle. It's good in 1v1s, it's good in ganks, and it's perfect for his passive. Run this on tank tahm always. For secondary, it's up to your playstyle.

CONQUEROR
Conqueror isn't great on tank tahm, but if you plan to go a more damage/bruiser build, this is the best keystone for that. It allows you to scale much better than you do when taking Hail of Blades, even though it does hurt early ganks a little.

PHASE RUSH
Of all the runes, this is probably the most fun. Take it on tank Tahm if you want to. Hurts ganks slightly but the Phase Rush almost negates the slow on your W.

PRESS THE ATTACK
Similar to Hail of Blades but worse. If you take this you play as a worse Warwick. It is an option but I don't really recommend it.
THREATS
As far as other junglers go, Tahm jungle is similar to Tahm top in the fact that he doesn't have any bad matchups. Especially when you run Hail of Blades it's very rare that you lose a 1v1. In addition to your early power, many people don't know how to fight you (spoiler alert: the way you fight Tahm early is you don't) and even early game gods like Elise and Lee Sin struggle against you. Tahm's biggest weakness in the jungle is his lack of mobility and 1v2. All of Tahm's cc is single target so he can't deal with fighting two people at the same time. Also, don't get overconfident. Chasing champs like Taliyah and Kindred early just won't end well.
FIRST CLEAR/INVADING AND SKIRMISHING
CLEAR PATH:
Tahm has a relatively healthy first clear. He takes 4 camps into scuttle then gank.

Blue buff -> Gromp -> Wolves -> Red buff -> Scuttle/Gank then scuttle

Typically you'll want to take scuttle before ganking, but if there's a lane (top/mid if red side, mid/bot if blue side) that's particularly pushed up, you can gank very quickly. ONLY GANK BEFORE SCUTTLE IF THE KILL IS ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED.It's best to gank lanes that also have CC for the fastest gank possible. If not that, just take scuttle, use W on it because it knocks off the shield.

CLEAR PATH (ADVANCED):
DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU ARE NEW AT TAHM OR JUNGLING
Since Tahm has such a strong early 1v1, path through the jungle so you can get a river fight at scuttle or an early invade. If you know you can get a kill on the enemy jungler at scuttle or while they're clearing their jungle, it's good to go for it. Also make sure it's someone who you can get quickly, because if their bot lane/mid lane collapses on you, you're dead.

Champs I recommend running this pathing against: Master Yi, Evelynn, Shyvana, Fiddle etc.

Essentially, run this pathing against champs that have no way to escape or deal with you. You can either invade or surprise them at scuttle crab. If you're running Hail of Blades, it's a guaranteed kill or flash.

Champs I do NOT recommend running this pathing against: Elise, Kayn, Shaco, Olaf, Graves, Udyr, Jax etc.

Again, do not run this pathing against other people with strong early 1v1 or easy escapes. This pathing is risky anyways, because if you get collapsed on there's not much you can do to 2v1. Kayn, Shaco, and Graves can all get away quickly, making it a waste of time and don't invade/push into enemy jungle against Olaf, Udyr, or Jax. They all have ways to both survive and fight back against you, and even if you win you'll certainly be low, and if enemy laners invade you, you can't risk forfeiting double buffs to them, ****ing your laner. Again, do not do this if new to Tahm or jungling in general.

The ways to do this are either:

Start on the same side as enemy jungler -> improvised clear skipping golem and raptors -> fight at scuttle
or
Start opposite side enemy jungle -> Take buff -> Wait for enemy jungler at their other buff -> Kill them -> Blue and gromp/leave if enemy laners are closing in

Only do this if you're confident on Tahm and you know your limits. The level 2 invade can be nasty.
PLAYING EARLY GAME
On Tahm jungle, playing early is simple. You can guarantee kills in lane so long as your laner follows up. Try to get a lead on the enemy jungle as fast as possible. Don't neglect farming and get to 6. When you hit 6, wait for lanes to push up and ult in behind them for free kills. Once you get a decent lead, stay ahead and crush the enemy jungler. Get deep wards in their jungle and invade. Don't be afraid of going in the enemy jungle. If there's a fight going on either top or bot, get your mid laner and ult with them to the fight. You can't solo drakes easily early game, so make sure to get help, because you shouldn't be alone at dragon pit. 3v3 with bot lane you can win if you're ahead.
PLAYING MID/LATE GAME
Move with your team, don't get caught out, and peel for your team. If you're going full tank, your damage will fall off. Peel for your team. That's all.
