![]() | Hello! My name is Justin, and I am currently the big boss of the Enyo eSports organization! My current IGN is NotAnIreliaMain(NA) which is bound to change, and I currently play at the high gold/low platinum elo. I have been playing League since Season 3, taking a break on Seasons 6 and 7. In this time period, I've been playing Vayne for over three seasons, having climbed several divisions playing her. In this guide, I'll will try to teach you the in and outs of Vayne to help you succeed playing her! If you ever want to join Enyo eSports, feel free to join our Discord by clicking on the word! |

![]() | Heal: The standard summoner spell for ADCs, it allows you to keep you and/or your support from dying. Along with that, the bonus movement speed from heal could be the deciding factor when you're trying to escape or catch up to an enemy. |
Flash: The spell that everybody should take, Flash is the #1 used summoner spell, and there's no doubt why. It gives you an instant blink that allows you to escape, to catch up to enemies, allows you to troll your teammates and to make a flashy (pun intended) play! (F is for Flash ;)) |

![]() | Press the Attack: For this build, Press the Attack is the best keystone that you can currently take. In a similar "Vayne" (hah, pun) to Lucian, the Guinsoo proc plus Silver Bolts will deal a massive amount of damage to the enemy. Along with this, the enemy DOES NOT expect the damage coming from the Keystone and Silver Bolts. Press the Attack also allows you to support the team by allowing them to deal additional damage. |
Triumph: In combination with her ult, Triumph keeps Vayne ahead with kills, helping keep her alive and allowing her to continue dealing massive damage. |

![]() | Legend: Alacrity: This rune is kind of a no brainer. It is the primary rune for almost every ADC, with the exception of Draven building Bloodline. The bonus attack speed given by this runes allows Vayne to dish out more damage, both through her BORK and her Silver Bolts procs. |
Coup de Grace: Vayne at this point in this tree has two options, Coup de Grace (pronounced Coo de Gra) and Cut Down. Though I strongly believe that Coup de Grace is better because it allows Vayne to execute and kill enemies more easily, Cut Down is an extremely useful rune for tankier teams. |

![]() | Celerity: Movement speed is almost a given on ADCs. ADCs themselves are immobile, so movement speed is essential to good gameplay. Along with that, the bonus AD you gain from movement speed could be the difference from killing someone or being killed, and it also scales nicely with your passive. |
Gathering Storm: Like Vayne, Gathering Storm is a late game rune. Though it's basically useless in the beginning of the game, you shouldn't underestimate the damage that it can give in the late game. |

Vayne gains 30 bonus movement speed when moving towards a nearby visible enemy champion.
Vayne's passive is extremely two-dimensional. It is pretty much only useful for chasing enemies, which will be useful to help secure kills for yourself or for your team.
Vayne Dash dashes forward, though not through terrain, and her next basic attack within 7 seconds deals 50/55/60/65/70% AD bonus physical damage.
Tumble is Vayne's bread and butter ability. Tumble grants Vayne an insane amount of mobility, allowing her to dodge spells, catch up with enemies or help her keep her distance away from them. A common mistake with Tumble is using it defensively 90% of the time. Now I'm not saying to go charging in with Tumble, but don't be afraid to be aggressive with it, because Tumble gives out an unexpected amount of damage.
Vayne's basic attacks and Condemn apply a Silver Bolts stack for 3.5 seconds, up to 3 times. Attacking a new enemy removes all stacks from the previous target.
The third stack consumes them all to deal 4/6.5/9/11.5/14% maximum health true damage, with a minimum threshold, and capped at 200 against monsters.
Silver Bolts is the one ability that makes Vayne a tank killer. The only real counters to this ability are attack speed slows, and hard crowd control. However, the target does lose their stacks if you change targets, so don't go all willy nilly on changing targets with Vayne. Focus on attacking one target to get the most DPS out of Vayne.
Vayne fires a heavy bolt at the target unit, dealing physical damage, knocking them back 475 units, and applying a Silver Bolts stack.
If the target collides with a wall, they take the same physical damage again and are stunned for 1.5 seconds.
Probably the second most difficult thing to do on Vayne is consistently hitting stuns with her E. It takes a massive chunk out of her mana pool, so you don't have much room for mistake. However, that is not Condemn's only use. You can use Condemn to proc the last stack of Silver Bolts to help secure a kill, or to knockback an enemy to buy yourself some distance. You can even do some neat trick with Vayne's E. Similar to Lee Sin, you can cast E and then flash to change the direction of the projectile!
For a duration, Vayne gains bonus attack damage as well as tripling Night Hunter bonus and granting Twilight Shroud for 1 second during Tumble.
While active, whenever a champion damaged by Vayne dies within 3 seconds, Final Hour's duration is extended by 4 seconds, up to a maximum of the original duration.
Final Hour is what separates good Vaynes from the Great Vaynes, what you see in big outplays, and what you see most new Vayne players trying to imitate. Final Hour gives Vayne a massive AD steroid, a buff to her passive, and invisibility to her Q. Only use Final Hour when you're ready to commit to a fight, or if you need to escape. In teamfights, her ult becomes especially strong with her ult gain bonus duration whenever Vayne gets a kill or assist.

![]() | Blade of the Ruined King used to be the go to item for Vayne, before the Bloodthirster changes. But now, with all the new ADC changes, BoRK is viable, and extremely strong, on Vayne again. This becomes more true with the recent cost reduction of Blade of the Ruined King, reducing its cost by 200 gold. This might not seem like much, but since Blade of the Ruined King will be your first item, 200 gold will be a major difference. Onto the stats of Blade of the Ruined King, the attack speed synergizes very well with Vayne's kit. More importantly, the percent current health damage will further improve her tank shredder ability. Though the attack damage is negligible, the current health damage definitely makes up for it. Lastly, the life steal does apply to the passive of Blade of the Ruined King, making it more effective that it seems. Past the stats is the active. The active can be used to escape or to help chase, and it can be used to do a surprising amount of burst damage compared with your W. |
Essence Reaver is what sets this build from the others. But you might be thinking, why Essence Reaver? Essence Reaver allows your ult's steroid to become, like, double steroids? With the bonus attack speed and reduced cooldowns on her basic abilities, Essence Reaver increases the amount of mobility she has, and it allows her to use her already little amount of CC more often. Along with this, with the recent nerfs to Essence Reaver to champions that can "cheat" the basic attack system, Essence Reaver only became more powerful to attack-centered champions like Vayne. It also allows you to make cooler plays :3 |

![]() | Guinsoo Rageblade is a no brainer on Vayne. Bonus attack speed on Vayne to help proc her Silver Bolts? Check. Bonus attack damage to help increase her overall damage output through her basic attacks and her Q and E? Check. Bonus ability power to help her damage? Chec.. wait, no, that doesn't really help. But the most important part of Guinsoo Rageblade that benefits Vayne is its passive, Guinsoo's Rage. Guinsoo's Rage, once you hit 6 stacks on it, allows you to proc your Silver Bolts every other attack. What does this mean? This means once you are level 18, you are dealing a minimum of 14% maximum health damage to your opponent, every other attack. Though this is less impactful to squishies, this allows you to maximize your tank killer status. Literally nothing can stop you from shredding tanks other than hard cc and death. Oh, and Guinsoo Rageblade has a neat little passive that allows you to deal a bit more physical and magic damage. |
