Items

First Back

Purchases here are variable. The amount of gold you have on your return to fountain will of course be the driving factor on your purchase. I suggest:

B.F Sword. Take this if you're ahead by a good margin.

Vamp Scepter. Take this in a slow farm lane.

Pickaxe. Take this if you're not quite at B.F Sword gold due to a forced back.

Doran's Blade. Take this if an early mistake left you with not a lot of gold.

Pick up some boots if you have the gold. Never forgo a few Health Potions on your first back.

Shoe Shopping time!

Quinn's a classy gal, and loves some quality shoes. Don't let her down!

Take Berserker's in almost all situations.

Swiftness can be taken if you are obnoxiously ahead and want to snowball your advantage by making sure no one can escape.

Regardless of boots, always take Furor, as a good AD Carry will always have it's passive proc'd in a fight.

Infinity Edge. Your First Big Item

With the new Doran's Blade, an Infinity Edge is an almost guaranteed rush on Quinn.
This is due to Quinn's high burst in her skill rotation.
Meaning her mid game damage is based more on Crit and AD than AS.

Shiv. Your Burst Booster

The Shiv is an excellent choice on Quinn. The reasons for this are:

Quinn is a largely burst oriented AD Carry who can make good picks with her E.

Also, her E allows her to cover a large distance both on the approach and retreat of the skill, this allows for easy charging of the Shiv.

The Shiv can be replaced with a PD if you prefer. Though I advise you do this with caution as the Shiv helps greatly with Quinn's mid game domination.

Time to personalize!

This is where your build opens up and becomes your own.

The course of the game will dictate your choice here:

Bloodthirster. Take this if you're having no trouble dealing with the enemies magic damage. Feeding enemy mid/afk or an ad mid etc. Or if you plan on taking a Banshee's Veil
as your final purchase.

Scimitar. Take this against a team with heavy, long lock downs such as Malz/Warwick or any stun that lasts more than a few seconds.

Maw. Take this if the enemy assassin or mage is bursting you before you can say
"Leblanc's still overpowered!" As the shield will usually give you just enough health to survive and have your team burst the enemy down, making them sorely regret underestimating your strength.

BoRK. This will be taken with the intention of kiting an enemy tank heavy team. Note that this item gives you less overall survivability and should be taken only if you have confidence that your mechanics will allow you to avoid damage.

Penetration is Key

I would choose Last Whisper in most situations as it only requires an enemy to have a small amount of bonus armor to be the most efficient item in this section.
However, there are situations in which other items will be more effective:

Cleaver. Take this if you want a more rounded carry as it gives some survivability in it's health and CDR stats, as Quinn's abilities are what keeps her alive.

Youmuu's. Take this against a team of squishies to be able to chase and burst them all down like there's no tomorrow.

Fly like a kite!

These three items are excellent choices on Quinn, as she excels at avoiding damage altogether instead of soaking some up with her blind and E.

Consider previous purchases when choosing here, for example:

Frozen Mallet. Allows for excellent kiting and will enhance any previous non health resistances you have picked up along the way. However, it will not be as effective
if you have not picked up and Magic resistance or Armor along the way.

IBG. This is an excellent choice on Quinn. She loves CDR and mana as it allows her to spam her abilities even more. The armor and spellblade can be incredible for remaining totally untouchable in the very late game. However, do not take this item if you have forgone any bonus health in your build. As the armor will be almost negligible in this situation.

Tri Force. Another item that I would only recommend if you are incredibly confident in your own ability. This item offers arguably less defense than all other items in this section, and provides only a slight kiting potential increase. But if you're insanely ahead and think you're WildTurtle who am I to tell you this'll get you killed?

Banshees. This item should be taken against heavy engages. While not actively increasing kiting potential, it increases "Not getting exploded by a Morgana Bind" potential and by extension, your ability to safely kite even ranged cc champions. Just, for the love of Phreak, don't take this and a Merc Scim against an AD team just because they have a Riven or something, it's just not worth it.
