Welcome to the guide to success, by Randomaxia
Master Yi is one of the fastest junglers in the game. He specializes in taking down squishies and half tanks. Jungling Master Yi secures you with the farm and kills required to make him into a OP carry. With this build you will easily achieve your pentakill dreamsn and 10+ kill carries per game.

- Master Yi strikes twice every 7th attack.
Early ganks if you attack minions until your 6th attack then inform a teammate your coming for a gank if your teammate has a stun/slow this is easily first blood @ lvl 2.
Late Game - Straight up 2 attacks of 1k crits each anyone?
- - Master Yi leaps across the battlefield with blinding speed, dealing magic damage to multiple units in his path with a chance to deal bonus magic damage to minions.
Master Yi leaps across the battlefield striking up to 4 enemies, dealing 100/150/200/250/300 (+1 per ability power) magic damage to each enemy with a 20/30/40/50/60% chance to deal 400 bonus magic damage to minions.
Cooldown - 18/16/14/12/10 seconds
Cost - 80/90/100/110/120 Mana
Range - 600
This is an initiate skill as well as a escape plan. Early jungling this is very useful has the 500 damage is crucial in speed jungling. If used on an escaping enemy you would start at point A and as they run away and you finish your skill you will spawn beside them. You can alpha over walls or alpha opponents when they flash and it will take you with them.
- Master Yi rejuvinates his body by focus of mind, restoring health and increasing his armor and magic resistance for a short time.
Master Yi channels, restoring 140/280/420/560/700 (+1.65 per ability power) health over 5 seconds. While channeling, Master Yi gains 100/150/200/250/300 armor and magic resistance.
Cooldown - 35 seconds
Cost - 70/85/100/115/130 Mana
Range - Self
Great skill not that useful if your are jungling early game. I know in my guide it says not the learn this until lvl 13 but if your opponent's team has a Karthus learn this skill to lvl 1 so when he ults you can just use this skill to negate the fatal blow. Late game in team fights you realize you are being focused use this skill has you recieve massive bonus armor and hp restore. Last instance if the turret has agro on you and you can't escape use this skill has this will protect you from the deadly blow as you can survive an extra attack from the turret before making ur escape.
- Master Yi becomes skilled in the art of Wuju, passively increasing the power of his physical attacks. Activating Wuju Style doubles the passive bonus damage for a short time, but the passive bonus is temporarily removed after the effect wears off.
Passive: Increases physical damage by 15/20/25/30/35.
Active: Master Yi can activate this ability to double its effectiveness for 10 seconds, but this removes the passive bonus until Wuju Style becomes available again.
Cooldown - 25 seconds
Cost - 40 Mana

Great skill this is what makes master yi hit so hard and fast. On effect you get extra 70 att passively get 35. Mixed with ur passive @ early lvl easily take out a squishy to half hp.
- Master Yi moves with unparalleled agility, temporarily increasing Master Yi's movement and attack speeds as well as making him immune to all slowing effects. Additionally, killing a Champion refreshes all of Master Yi's cooldowns.
Increases Master Yi's movement speed by 40% and Attack Speed by 40/60/80%, and he becomes immune to all slowing effects for 6/9/12 seconds. Additionally, killing a champion refreshes all of Master Yi's cooldowns, and scoring an assist reduce the cooldowns by half.
Cooldown - 75 seconds
Cost - 120/120/120 Mana
Range - Self
WOW! This is where penta kills happen... as you kill an enemy or assist you reduce the cooldown. Scenario - Yi sees ashe, yi uses highlander kills ashe in 2 hits,(highlander refreshed) yi sees ryze and starts to chase, 3 more enemy show up, yi turns around using highlander again running at 600 speed for 12 secs and leaves everyone in the dust...
Greater Mark of Desolation - Easily enough breaks through armor, as armor is calculated in percentage, early ganks the 18 armor pentration will help greatly as it will pierce 20% or 30% extra percent of the opponents armor.
- The armor is going to help you get through the early game jungle as the neutral mobs won't hit you for quite as hard, so if a quick gank calls you are easily able to answer the call with a decent amount of hp to fight with
- This helps your attack speed helps you get your passive out as soon as possible 7th double strike
Greater Quintessence of Desolation - More Armor penetration
- More att. speed
Masteries / Summoner Spells
Offense - Maximizing your damage output and damage done to minions
Defense - Defense is weak... your best defense is a good offense...
Utility - Standard taking ghost exp boost and neutral buffs
Your a jungler without any jungling skills like nunu or ww you kinda need this
This also helps you secure kills on Red/Blue buff, Dragon, Baron so it doesnt get stolen.
Really a good mix for this character, ghost + ult you can pretty much escape from anywhere.
If you find yourself caught out of position and a 5 man gank coming your way use ghost and ult and ghost blade and you we will be well over the speed limit. Makes escape almost impossible for others even if they flash over walls you have enough speed with your ult to run around and slice them to pieces.
Exhaust is pretty op really helpful in early ganks and late game teamfights but i still think ghost has much more advantages for master yi
ANY of the other spells... every time you use a ******ed summoner spell another polar bear drowns... Don't do it...
Start with your Cloth Armor and 4 Health Potion 4 is usually enough keeps your options open to what you buy next. Build your Madred's Razors with just normal Boots of Speed
into your first major item Wriggle's Lantern

Don't forget to use your ghost blade as it greatly increases your attack speed and movement speed.
This will give you enough damage with your skills to easily take out any squishy in mid lvl

Build a and a
Late Late (NEXT FIGHT WINS)
This is going to help you as you are the major damage dealer with a GA on you you will likely not be focused if you do you will revive and tear down the squishys and enemy's at half hp already ( THIS IS HOW I GOT MY FIRST PENTA KILL) You want a banshee's veil so you dont get an early cc during the fight and that takes you out from dealing damage.
Buy a ward! Save a life!
You need this at baron and dragon other important bushes around the map
Master Yi is very good at jungling and is one of the fastest jungler's in the game.
Know how your opponent's jungles
In this instance start with only 3 health potions. Start at your duo golems lead with alpha strike Smite the one that you crit. or the one you attack if you don't. Use a health potion kill golems and move on to wraith. Important you finish off the big wraith first before attending to the little ones once again lead with Alpha Strike. Move on to wovles and b to base and redo the proccess. If you see enemy lanes pushed, feel free to gank as Master Yi hits very hard below lvl 6 and a Double Strike usually guarantee's a kill or at least burn off their summoner flash.
Without Enemy Jungler (Jungle ALL to yourself YAY!)
Feel free to start at enemy's duo golems. Continue on to enemy wraith and usually gank mid right after. Even if you don't get a kill it makes the enemy really low, possibiliy sending them back to base, giving your mid lane a huge advantage early on. Hide in the enemy red buff bush until 1:35 before proceeding. This gives you excellent positional advantage as it allows you to help your solo lane top if he is taking too much pressure or an easy gank in mid. If you crit on golems you will reach lvl 2 before the minions have even reached their lanes.
Gank when you see a lane is pushed far you will be amazed at how much damage you can deal at low lvls. If you see your teammate in trouble DO NOT STAY IN THE JUNGLE HELP THEM!!! Jungling does mean you stay in the jungle until ur lvl 10 jungling gives u the element of suprise as you are able to gank and call plays on your team.
At different levels your Smite hits around 500-600 damage make sure you use smite to secure kills such as dragon and baron so they don't get stolen. O.O you don't know who is watching you...
With Wriggle's Lantern Berserker's Greaves you can easily solo dragon if you see that it is safe to do so.
AS A JUNGLER....
Its is your job to keep timers on all buffs and dragon and baron
Remember buffs have 5 mins spawns
Dragon h 6 mins spawns
Baron has 8 mins spawns
Just type it in chat
Example: you killed dragon at 12:32
Type "Next dragon 18:32" so you team can setup @ dragon 10 sec or 20 secs before and take the easy 190 global gold.
Master Yi is a great level 1 counter jungle/
With Opponent Jungle (almost always)
Know how your opponent's jungles
Usually Master Yi is fast enough to steal the enemy wraith, wait in the bush in the middle of the river until 1:30 tell your support to cv the wraith and go in for the steal. You may choose to leave 1 small wraith this way it doesn't respawn. If the enemy jungler sees you just Smite the big wraith and get out. Return to your wolves continue on with your normal jungle of wolves/wraith/duo golems. Then b to heal and redo that process and get red when you have ur Madred's Razors and blue to give to your ap carry mid.
Almost the same as 1 if cv is dropped on enemy blue and it is clear that you can see at least 3 opponent and enemy jungle is a slow jungler such as warwick feel free to complete wraith and steal his double golems too. B or gank the duo lane right after and continue on with your normal jungle doesnt matter where you start duo golems or wolves.
Highlander---> Alpha Strike---> Wuju Style chase with Ghost if necessary
Highlander + Active Youmuu's Ghostblade + Wuju Style and tear them to pieces... Dont forget if you get a kill use your ult again to continue killing or make your escape. Ghost if necessary
Alright. Yi is one of the best backdoors in the game this will piss off the enemy team like no tomorrow.
When to backdoor
If you see anytime that there is a 4 on 4 fight teamfight, feel free to go on the opposite side of the map and push.
If there is any kind of stalling such as staying at the very mid because everyone is scared to make a move, go BD!
If a fight breaks out in your base and 1 of your lanes is at or past middle already feel free to BD.
If all hope is lost and you are on the verge of defeat by all means back door.
Yi is on of the best backdoors because of his ability to escape when the enemy team ganks him and realizes. Just turn on Youmuu's Ghostblade Highlander Ghost and just run 90% of the time you should get away without a scratch.
Solo Split Push
If your team is pressuring (sieged out) and you don't have the ability to dive a turret you are the single best split pusher. This puts pressure either top or bot if your team is mid. The enemy team is forced to split forces to stop you if they do your teammates take an easy middle turret, if they dont you get an easy bot or top turret its a win win situation.

Master Yi is a easy and effective character you can master to help you dominate the junlge and dominate the game. After you have learned his skills and builds you can easily carry games and win games for your team.
