Now from what I've seen Varus came out in season two and was rarely played, but with the release of the new items it seems he has been getting a lot more attention, and i appreciate that because hi is one of my favorite champions.

I am most certainly NOT the best Varus builder, but what I do works quite consistently and I am happy with that. The first guide is an ADC Varus guide, I have had a decent win/loss ratio with it, but again, its not the best. For the second, I put an AP Varus guide. Most people would laugh it off as ridiculous, but I often try strange builds like that so when I saw xChinNin's video of AP Varus, I had to try it out. It was his idea, but he inspired me to change it a little and i have won several games as AP Varus, AP carrying from either mid or top. Yes. AP Varus is a good top because of his range and harass of melee champions, especially those without a gap closer or dash.

His passive allows you to last hit like an Irelia with 4 blade surges for ALL of the farm>gold. This makes him able to easily win exchanges later in the game, but his defense is lacking. unlike several other ADC, he does not have an escape/gapopener ability (Caitlyn's net, Tristana's jump, Vayne's tumble, etc.) therefore never push too far out alone and try to stay on the defensive. If you ever get a break between farming and farming and more farming, then feel free to harass your enemies with a fully charged Q, but if the support on their team has a healing ability, this dmg will not last so don't bother with it.

Summery: Farm, Farm, and Farm some more. You will need the money.

Keep farming, in team fights never initiate. use you ult on Melees that are away from other units for free kills. stick to basic ADC rules.

Beg your team for top or mid, cus even when your jungler is a complete baddy you will still win lane because of your farming ability(Uunlike if you go bot and your butfkin friend is bad). Yes, I use my W with ap varus to farm. pray that you are facing a melee because AP Varus preys on melees. Your starting 40 ap will be an extra 10 dmg on AA with your w passive plus a bonus 2 dmg from SS(spell sword) and the base 10 bonus dmg with base 49 ad will have you dealing 73 dmg base at lvl 1, not bad, considering that with malady and 600 ap that will be around a base 300-400 dmg on hit with an insane aa(auto atk) spd. but this is not varus's main dmg. his main damage comes from a brokenly buffed ult. you atk 3 times to lay 3 stacks of your w on someone, and then you use your r to deal insane dmg on the ult which pops the 3 w stacks, and has a 1-1 ap ratio. with a lichbane, you can even simply use a q or an e when they have 3 stacks and then use a fourth atk to finish them off with the ridiculous bonus magic dmg.
