He is probably Irelia's biggest nightmare. You can't 1v1 him at any point in the game. When playing against him, try and dodge his stun and abuse it when on cooldown. The only upside to this matchup is that you have a far better teamfight.

Strong 1v1/2/3 potential.
Good sustain with Bladesurge
Easy farming under turret.
Flex pick. Top and Mid.
Scales decently well.
High outplay potential.
Good anti-burst against AD opponents with the damage reduction from Defiant Dance
Good at splitpushing and teamfighting.
Not banned very much.
Cons:(
Lots of bad matchups.
Sometimes weak into AP matchups.
Hard to pick up.
Mana problems early.
Squishy.
Really bad when behind.- You depend on early lead.
