I made this guide as I love to play jax, but I can't find any proper guides for him anywhere.
This guide can be used as a quick overview and as a nice itembuild.

For now this is not an in-depth guide.
I will most likely update this Guide in the future when I feel like it.

If the enemy team has heavy CC.


For early ganks and 1v1/2 fights.


Even though it's hardly ever chosen, this is a very good summoner spell for hybrids like Jax.


I like to take and for Jungle and,

and or for Top-Lane, choose if you think farming will be tough and if you want to gank easier.

If you are not jungling then you can just skip and the build is viable for Toplane.

Always keep in mind that Jax's counter is CC! so always choose Mercury Threads over if your enemies have alot of CC.

After that I make sure I can take a couple hits by getting .
Right after I will start using Jax's full potential as a hybrid. So next we'll be getting our and .
Then for some more damage get your .
Then for our last item, depending on if you got a you sell that and get your .

Don't forget to use in every fight as it does a ton of damage and slows!

These masteries help Jax alot as he needs the 21 in offense for the dmg output and the 9 in defense for early jungling.

You can choose to go 9 into Utility for extending your jungle buffs instead of the 9 in defense. By doing this you will have a tougher time clearing the jungle before reaching lvl 6 though.
