Introduction

Well this is now the third build i have done for twitch (first was archived and put into my complete twitch guide found here) but i thought that this build really deserved a life of its own. It has two different styles depending on who you are fighting with both of them allowing some nice early damage, allowing for some cheap gangs early on.

Please read the entire guide before you vote.

Pros / Cons

PROS:
  • Will get high mob kills with this build
  • can take out jungle creeps as soon as you have Madred's Razors
  • Great at ganging
  • Great harass early game
  • Lots of early game damage.. You wont need to wait for a B. F. Sword
  • Can wipe out waves of creeps very easily. Even more so with build 2
  • great at roaming/jungler gangs.
  • If having a hard start can just move to Jungle
SPACE CONS:
  • Very squishy, More so without your Quintessence of Health
  • Very slow movement
  • Is a high priority Target
  • Vulnerable to Oracles/Wards
  • In higher level games requires teamwork
  • CANT TANK AT ALL
  • Not a very good jungler until you have Wriggle's Lantern

Runes

For those of you who have read my last guides, you will know that my rune build does not change very much for twitch. Its my build and works great for me but as always its up to you to work out what you are missing and what you need to rectify it. After all thats what masteries and runes are for!
  • Greater Mark of Desolation This will really help in the starting phase of the game. Nearly all champions will be treated as if they are 0 armor meaning you get to do more damage!
  • Greater Seal of Evasion As stated in the cons you are Very Squishy, the dodge percent chance from this will allow you to have a Tra La La affect as you remain alive and they die... AGAIN
  • Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist This is to stop those pesky mages and try to correct the lower magic armor you have especially late game.
  • Greater Quintessence of Health Your HP, you need it early game to be able to kill one on one, its as simple as that!

if i had to offer some alternate runes i would look at getting some:
You could also look at loosing the Greater Quintessence of Health and possibly replacing it with one of these: however remember you are going to be even more sqwishy then normal!

Masteries

Again my masteries dont change very much between my builds as i have found this combination to be the most effective for my aggressive game play. I ALWAYS choose:

Summoner Spells

Again My choice for summoner skills on normal games are quite simple and will rarely change:
  • Flash Once skilled with the use of this skill you will be surprised at what you can do. I shall write a new section just for this skill to explain some of the uses and how to use it correctly with twitch.
  • Ignite This is generally linked to my D as i find it easier to press. Its a great damage dealer especially when stacked with the Damage over Time of Deadly Venom. It will get you early kills and with the mastery attacked makes your expunge do that little bit more early game.

There are always options though and three of which are very very viable here.
these are of cause:

Exhaust Obvious advantage is 1v1 against a DPS. this lowers their damage by 70% which means you can actually take a few hits. If you choose this swap out Burning Embers for a point in Brute Force and the point in Archmage's Savvy for a point in Cripple

Heal Using this skill you will get a LOT of criticism.... that said, twitch is all about finding what works for you and trust me i have seen heal work.. You are super squishy and this boost even in late game can mean the difference between life and death IF USED CORRECTLY!

Cleanse A great skill for twitch if you are destined to face a lot of Crowd Control.. (stuns etc.). Although if Twitch is played right, they won’t have time to target you and you shouldn’t need this.

If you were to choose any of these skills i would recommend keeping Flash as it really does keep you alive a lot. Swap out Ignite and dont forget to tweeek your masteries as you will no longer require Burning Embers

Skill Sequence

I'm not going to waiste your time here. We all know as twitch you can either start with one point in Ambush or a point in expunge but by level three you are in exactly the same as what is shown in my build above.

The only thing i will say though is choose when and if you need to get Venom Cask. The longer you hold off the better your damage is going to be however you run the risk of someone getting away. So if they are running fast, get one (AND ONLY ONE) point early. If not hold off until you need it!

Items

For this section i will go into a bit of details but at the same time will try to KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid).

With both of these builds you are really going to need to start with a Doran's Blade. This is different to my other builds as i always recommended starting with a vampiric sceptre. This however doesnt work on this build. You need early damage and a touch more hp for survivability rather then initial high life steal. That +10 damage is going to add up and later on i will show you why!

From here with both builds you are going to go for a Madred's Razors. This item is very handy and will dramatically increase your creep kills with its passive (15% chance to do 500 damage to a minion). It also has nice damage with a bonus +15 damage and 23 armor.

That means that already (after the first 1000 gold) you are doing a bonus +25 damage per hit. You are slightly tankier and you can jungle at any time if you need to get away from lane/need extra cash or are having a hard start.

Get a basic boots here ( Boots) as you still need to move around.

From here you have to MAKE A CHOICE. Do you have to kill tanks or will a butt load of life steal be a better choice. If you are VS. Tanks grab a Recurve Bow otherwise its time to get that vampiric sceptre and make a Wriggle's Lantern. Lets look at both these options.

Vs. Tanks

you are getting +40% attack speed, +25 damage, builds quickly into Madred's Bloodrazor.

To continue on this build you are going to need some high movement speed, so finnish off your Mobility Boots and head for a Pickaxe. As soon as you can afford it upgrade to the Madred's Bloodrazor and start killing like crazy.

After this you are going to want to get a B. F. Sword (hey its still nice) and have a look at what they are stacking. If they are still very tanky and have some armor, buy a Black Cleaver otherwise get a Zeal to increase attack speed and movement speed then head for an Infinity Edge.

Unforunatley i have yet to play a game past this level as they have always surrendered but if they do complete your Phantom Dancer and build the item you didnt build just before ( Black Cleaver/ Infinity Edge) and you should be owning.

SPACE

Lifesteal

+33 damage, 21% lifesteal, 20% chance to do 500 to minions, FREE WARD
remember that the B. F. Sword only gives 45 damage and costs 1600. this is the same price for a Wriggle's Lantern but you dont need to wait for it and it will boost your gold intake substantually!

Since you have a free ward. ALWAYS USE IT, ward dragon early game and baron late game, use your head and make use of it. Oh and place it while you are in Ambush and they wont know where you are when you put it.

Once you have your wriggles head for the Berserker's Greaves as you are lacking a little in attack speed. Once completed you will be able to solo dragon so if you get the chance do it. Jungle between gangs, but gang as often as possible.

Look at how things are going. If you find you need more attack speed, buy a Recurve Bow and head to a Zeke's Harbinger otherwise buy a B. F. Sword and head for Bloodthirster. Once one is completed get the other one.

By this stage you are doing insane damage, Healing to full life in three hits and hitting very fast. Again my games dont normally tend to extend past this but if it does here is what i would get:

Buy another B. F. Sword and another recuve bow This time however we are going to build a the blood thirster (shock horror) and a Madred's Bloodrazor as i really like the damage output it does and the sheer attack speed bonus. Alternatively you could get a Phantom Dancer and a Infinity Edge it really is up to you!

SIDE NOTE
If you are vs a lot of casters dont forget that on occasions you are going to need to get a Banshee's Veil otherwise you are going to get your *** handed to you. This will also help VS. Thornmail (although only as a secondary effect) as the damage return is magic and that 50MR really changes things.

Summary

As you can see this is a little different then my normal builds. It allows versitility at the start with both builds being very aggressive. At early stages you will be able to kill minions very quickly on both builds and if needed can change into jungle after you have bought a Madred's Razors. Always handy for when you are getting owned at the start.

Stick with it and you can have a huge comeback!
