Threats & Synergies
Akali is not that hard to play against. You can bully her in the early game and use Mantra Q when she is in her W. You will most likely hit her when you aim in the middle. Since you have selfpeel and cc she will most likely not be a threat to you. And besides that you are the one who outscales her. At teamfights you just peel for the one she is ulting
A great matchup for you. You can punish him because he is melee and if you have W on him you can see him when he ults. And if you predict it right you can land the mantra Q on him. However he will still be a pain in the *** because of his roaming. Be sure to ping enough for your team. At teamfights try to peel for the person he is targeting.
I'd say this is a skill matchup. This really depends how both of you play this out. I would always rush zhonya's here though. If you punish him enough in early and play safely this will not be a huge threat later on if you follow him when he roams. In teamfights just try to peel for the person he is ulting.
This matchup is not that hard as it looks like. It might seem like AAAH WTF ITS A SYNDRA IM GETTING ONESHOTTED, but it's not that bad. Since you have a huge shield on Mantra E you will most likely absord too many damage for her to oneshot you.
Aurelion Sol is a nightmare for you in early game, because he will win most trades and will push you in in early game. This way he can roam and get fed (but even then if you play it right he wont kill you), however if you waveclear enough and grab the turret while he is roaming it can stop him from roaming alot and keep him in his lane. Try to bully him with your Q and dont be afraid to do a W - Q combo to get thunderlords. And dont be afraid of losing your lane because after all you're a Goddess in teamfights!
This is a skill matchup, since it can go either ways. It can go well if you can time your spells. However, since you're immobile once you are caught - you are dead. My advice is get MR boots and Mantra + W when she ults to heal back the burst damage she gives. After that, you have a high chance of surviving.
Zoe is a matchup that can be horrible, but if you remain calm you will realize it is not that bad. First off, don't engage on her early on. She will win and it is painful. Her E range is just like your W range so you are basically letting her get a free bubble. Stand behind minions, shield when you do get caught and Mantra + W if she gets too cocky! Play it safe until she makes a mistake, punish her and you can even get a kill.
My guide shows three totally different builds that can bring everything your team needs.
Mantra Q: Use this as poke but also as waveclear, in midlane you usually want to use this at the backline while also hitting the enemy. If you do hit the backline when you're Q is back you can get them all at once since they will have a slither of health when they are hit by the Mantra Q. But when you're being chased suprising the enemy with a Mantra Q might lead to a kill ;)
Mantra W: You usally use this when your jungler is gonna gank and you're low hp. This is very useful since you will get healing from it. You can also use this when you're low HP and need to heal, but also when you are getting chased this can be your lifesaver! You can also use this on every jungle monster (even baron & drake) except the tiny ones, so dont forget to use it!
Mantra E: This is your bread and butter in teamfights. I highly suggest you use this in a teamfight, because the shield is absurd. Dont forget to put it to a champion who is kinda in the middle otherwise you might miss a few people with your shield. You can also use Mantra E whenever you're disengaging from a fight or when you're done with dragon or baron.
These are the most common situations. If you still have no idea when to use Mantra dont be shy to comment!
