Aatrox is too weak to deal with darius ATM, so just stomp him by trading early with autoattacks, cancel his jump with E and get tabis if you are behind. Don't underestimate his passive and sustain tho, this may surprise.
Akali
She is a pain to deal with, as her shroud (W) allows her to trade with you without taking any damages, and may stop you from stacking your passive. You can try to first blood her at level 1 tho, as she will only have her q. However, if you don't manage to first blood her, and let her get a kill, she will snowball and become uncontrollable. Ask for ganks, play safe and build MR.
Camille
Even if Camille got recently nerfed, she is still a really good duelist. Try to first blood her early, because her late game is pretty good.
Cassiopeia
You won't see her often top, but if you do, you have to kill her at level 3. If you do, you will just snowball on her, as she has a weak early game harass. Just care if she has an exhaust, and try to engage when she is low on mana. Build MR if you are behind.
Cho'Gath
One of the easiest matchups for darius, as he is immobile. Just go for a level 1-3 first blood, and snowball on that. You will have to dodge his q to kill him tho.
Dr. Mundo
It isn't a bad matchup, but you probably won't be able to kill him at all. He will just sit back and farm with cleavers. If he doesn't play safe early, just punish him, as he can't outtrade you if you dodge at least one of his cleavers.
Ekko
Ekko probably won't be able to kill you in lane, but can sit back and farm safely with his q. He also has a pretty good teamfight, so in this lane you want to push and try getting turrets. If he doesn't play safe you can kill him tho.
Fiora
One of the hardest matchups for Darius. Fiora will heavily outrade darius in short fights, and will outscale him a lot. Try fighting her early on, and ask for ganks. Beware however, even if you kill her she can easily 1v1 you once she gets 1-2 items.
Gangplank
This matchup can go either way.
1. Gangplank is a good, and will poke darius while last-hitting. In this case you won't be able to do much, just get some armor and ask for ganks, as Gangplank has no escapes.
2. Gangplank is bad and Darius will easily kill him at level 3, and then snowball on that.
It depends on the Gangplank player, but in theory, you have the advantage early, so take use of it. Beware if he has exhaust.
Garen
Easy matchup, even if his early Q damage can surprise. Just kill him everytime he gets a minion, your passive DPS completely destroys his judgement DPS. Don't let him just Q you early on, trade back.
Gnar
Pretty hard matchup, especially if he goes for Frozen Mallet first item. This guy will poke you a lot, slow you before you can reach him, and stun you once you'll be at melee range. To avoid that, try to kill him at lvl 3, or ask for help.
Heimerdinger
Uncommon matchup. Try to kill him at level 3 if you're not too low, and snowball on that. If you can't, just build MR and destroy him. The hardest part of this matchup is to survive the early levels poke. You can also ask for ganks, as he has no escape.
Illaoi
Easy matchup, just first blood her level 2-3, and never engage if she got her E on you post 6. Nearly all of her damages can be dodged, and she is extremely immobile. Just snowball on her. If you fall behind, build armor but don't ask for ganks, as she will probably 1v2.
Irelia
Similar to Camille. She is a good duelist, but can get stomped if you first blood early on. Watch out for her trinity force power spike, and get some tabis to tank her autoattacks. Ask for ganks if you really want to shut her down.
Jarvan IV
Easy matchup, as you completely out damage him over time. Try to go for a level 1-3 first blood, and care for ganks , as his ult and knock up will probably end up being a kill for him and his jungler.
Jax
Another good duelist that can snowball on one single early kill. Try to kill him before he gets too strong, his late is really good.
Jayce
He can poke you down and win all short trades with his decree and E knockback. Just play safe, get some armor and try killing him at level 6. Ask for ganks.
Kayle
Early on, kayle can be destroyed, but her mid & late game is really strong, so don't bother trying to 1v1 her after she gets 3-4 items. Just kill her at level 3 without getting poked earlier, and try to snowball on that. Try to force fights early, and move around to help your team.
Kennen
Nightmare. He will poke you forever and punish you once you'll get too close. ask for jungler help level 3-4, flash him and try to get a kill. Don't try to teamfight, as kennen will completely destroy your team.
Kled
Can be dangerous to deal with because of his high DPS with fervor, and his double health bar which gives him tankyness. Try to engage on him after he misses his q at level 2-3, and kill him. Otherwise just wait till you get some armor.
Lulu
Painful. She will poke you down and stop you from going all in with her polymorph thing. Try to kill her at level 3 if you're not too low, otherwise play safe and ask for ganks.
Malphite
Easy matchup, just first blood him at level 1-3, prevent him from farming, and beware of ganks, because his ult will CC you a long time.
Maokai
Not an easy matchup, as you won't be able to q him at all, because of his W. You can first blood him level 1-3 tho, so take advantage of your early game. Beware of ganks.
Mordekaiser
Uncommon matchup. He is melee and immobile, but can deal a ton of damages, and also sustain a lot. Don't underestimate him, but kill him early (level 1-3). You can also ask for ganks, as he has no mobility at all.
Nasus
A bit hard to deal with, even if you can crush him early on. Do not let him farm, and ask for ganks if you are behind.
Nautilus
Immobile, low damage champion : Just kill him
Olaf
Can deal a surprisingly high amount of damage early on with fervor. Try to kill him at level 1-3, by dodging one of his axes, then just chainkill him. Pretty hard to deal with if you are behind tho.
Pantheon
Pain in the *** early on, but can easily be killed post 6, once you get some armor. Just don't give him an early kill.
Poppy
Frustrating to play against, as she will just refuse to die. You can kill her early tho.
Quinn
Popular pick ATM. She can poke you a lot, while having an incredible roam potential. Ask for ganks, and try to kill her at level 3 if she has no ignite. Try to force fights with your team.
Renekton
Incredibly strong early game. Do not give him kills, or you will suffer. A lot. Ask for ganks.
Riven
There are multiple types of Riven players. Try to get an early first blood, even if her mobility often allows her to run away. Don't give her kills tho, because she does well in teamfights, and will destroy your team.
Rumble
Easy matchup, just kill him early level 3 and snowball on that. His teamfight presence is huge tho, so try to stomp him so he won't have that much dmg.
Ryze
His early poke is annoying, but you can easily kill him at level 3. Care for ganks, his W will root you for ages.
Shen
Frustrating to play against, because you will never kill him, and he will help his team with his ult. You can still try to use your early game advantage, even if he can just dash away. Care for ganks tho.
Singed
It SHOULD be an easy lane, but depends on the singed you're facing. Most of them will get killed at level 1 (while proxying most of the time, even if you can kill him in lane)but then you won't kill him anymore, as he will just fling you. Don't chase him into his q after he flings you, he hurts.
Sion
Easy matchup, he is completely immobile, and is a pretty bad laner. Kill him at level 1-3, snowball on that. Cancel his q with e.
Swain
Depends on the swain you are facing. He will poke you a lot, but once you hook him, he should ba dead.
Talon
Talon isn't an usual toplane matchup, but is really hard to deal with. His poke with W hurts and slows, his melee q crit will make the trades in his favor, and his e allows him to just go away if he is about to die. His level 6 also gives him an incredible 1v1 and roam kill potential. Play safe, try not to get killed early, stack armor and kill him once you have enough armor.
Teemo
Same as swain, but his poke hurts more. Buy a doran's shield, play safe, and try to hook him at lvl 3 if you are not too low, this should be a kill.
Trundle
Easy lane pre 6, just kill him at lvl 3. Post 6 you probably won't kill him anymore tho, just try to outpush him. Get excecutionner's calling if you really want to kil him.
Tryndamere
He can't trade with you, just kill him at lvl 1-3 and kill him again and again. Get tabis if he hurts too much.
Vladimir
He is slippery. Get doran's shield and try to kill him at level 3. Get some MR and he won't be able to kill you at all.
Wukong
Hard to trade with, as he can deal a pretty good amount of damage and then go invisible and run away. Try to hook him after this trade, and kill him. He has high early cooldowns, and can't handle your all-in before 6.
Yasuo
This should be an easy lane, but some yasuos are, i gotta admit, pretty good. It's an easy target early tho, kill him at level 1-3 but don't get poked and don't fight him in cs. He may outdamage you with fervor if he plays right.
Yorick
Really, really, really hard to lane with this guy. He basically has same healing and damages as ilaoi, but you can't dodge anything. Oh, and he deals mixed damages. Not good. Try to kill him at level 1, otherwise don't get trapped into his caage later, he will outtrade you.
