Xin Zhao is very strong right now, his ap and ad scailing works well with most teams. If your team needs a front line, build tank, if you team needs a damage dealer, build trinity and rageblade. The ability to fit into any comp makes him perfect for climbing the low elo ranked ladder. I would recomend for anyone looking for an easy pick when first playing ranked or someone wanting to climb.

Press the attack is the best rune for xin!!!!! DO NOT DO ANYTHING ELES (because i'm always right and you should listen to me and not build anyone elses runes)!! Press the attack works great when you dash to a target, use w and slow them, auto attack them a few times to get PTA going, set off your q, and by then they're probably dead because you're xin. Also take sudden impact because your dash sets that off, and gaining that sudden burst of damage can let you easily pop the enemy ad. Take triumph so when you're getting a gank from the enemy jg and you can kill one of them for the extra health, or take it because teamfights. Alacrity for the attack speed because you can never have enough. Coup De Grace because dealing more damage to low health champions let you burst faster aster getting 1 or 2 abilities off. And finally eyeball collection because you'll definetly be getting a lot of takedowns with this perfect guide I have made for you (also because you take oracle ).

I like the items I build because it gives you lifesteal, ap and ad and atack speed if you build rageblade, the ability to destroy towers easily with trinity, and the tanky stats that gage and defensive items gives you. If your team needs a melee frontline then my build will work well, using r just makes it easy to jump on to the enemy ad during a fight and push everyone away from you. Being a tank and jumping into the team and change the whole outcome of the fight.

Xin jungle is perfectly fine, this guide is about top tho ;)

I see more potential for xin top because he is better at combat then farming for half the game. He always needs someone to fight so he can get ahead and solo carry the game.

See who your enemy is and pick your summoner spells accordingly. You may even want to take doran's shield if they are heavy poke and damage (or even a cloth armor with 4 potions). Walk into the bush nearest to the tower, try to get there before the enemy does, then when they walk into bush, try to get three auto attacks off after using your q. That should get easy harass. Try to get as much harass off on the enemy so they cant farm, that will put you ahead.

If you are able to farm without using mana, great, save all that mana and those cd for when you jump onto your lane opponent and burst them. But if you need to use your q to farm then do it, but beware as the enemy might jump onto you after using your cooldowns.

You want to max your q first, the knock up is really good and it probably has the most damage output in your kit (depending on your build). Jumping on to someone and using you q with lethal tempo, sets your q off fast so they cant escape. Then max your w, if you are having trouble poking your enemy laner, use your w whenever you see them go in range, say they are trying to cs, POKE 'EM!!!!

The basic summoner spells for top are flash and teleport. Take that if you feel like you need to split. if you feel like you can get first blood on your opponent and can keep killing them after getting fed, take ignite. If you are going against a range champion who will harass you easily, take barrier or heal (also try to get honeyfruit whenever you can). And finally, going against an assassin? exhaust, obvs. But let's say your against a fast champion with slows, say gnar maybe, able to hop away and kite with frozen mallet. Then you might want to take something like ghost and tp, being able to catch up to fast enemies is great when they're faster then you.

Say you get ahead in lane and your lane opponent isn't worth gold anymore because they are trash and you are the alpha top laner. Wait for the enemy teams mid laner to push up, up to tower is the best. Then do your thing, they probably have some sort of cc, so make sure you can flash it. Or if you want to gank bot, let your botlane know and tell them to ward (if your have tp) then tp in and go nuts, make sure your bot is prepared tho, you could waste flash or even die when your bot isn't paying attention. Always make sure you can see wards before ganking, or else you are wasting your time, that's why you take oracle execration. Also, remember to buy pink wards, I see this so many times in my ranked games, people don't buy pink wards and they just wait 1-2 minutes try to gank when the enemy has vision, dont be that person.

When you get the first top tower, (you will because after reading this you will become the best Xin Zhao player to ever grace planet earth) push in the wave to your enemy and roam mid, your enemy will most likely stay in lane so as to not miss cs. (Insert what I said in roaming), after killing the enemy laner, ping the mid tower, you should be able to take it if you have trinity force. Ward so you can see if the enemy jg or top will be coming. After taking mid, go back top and clear wave, then tp bot or walk bot and (insert what I said in chapter 9), take tower and then go dragon if oth bot are still dead or jus respawning. This strat should put your team farm ahead.

PROS - Fit into any team comp. Able to quickly burst enemy ad. Great team fighter. Destroys towers.

CONS - Melee, loses lane hard to ranged. Can easily be kited if e is not up. Must build tank or you will be destroyed when jumping into a team. Item dependent.
