This guy ****ING HURTS. You E can't dodge ****, his DOT is cancer, and he heals like a **********er. Either dodge or hope that your jungler isn't braindead and/or your team can win a 4v6. Take HP per level and flat MR.
Introduction
Also, you may ask: What about tank fizz?
A) No. It's terrible and will put you to bronze within 1 week.
E max or W max and why?
A) E max is the far superior choice at this point in time as fizz's W has quite low base damage but scales up later, hence we max it second.
Fizz in the jungle?
A) AP fizz in the jungle is meh but tankyish fizz in the jungle works out rather well cause tank meta

Q:

A similar ability to

W:

Passively causes enemies hit by your basic attack to bleed for 20/30/40/50/60 plus 40% AP magic damage over 3 seconds, and marks them for 6 seconds. Activate to empower your next basic attack to deal the same damage instantly, and if the enemy has been marked for at least 2 seconds the damage dealt is tripled. Killing the target refunds the cooldown and 20-50 mana
This ability makes farming in lane quite easy as it has a mana and cooldown reset and does extra AA damage. We take it at level 1 and max it second as the early game damage isn't huge.
E:

The signature ability of fizz and the most useful, you jump on your trident in the direction of the cursor, becoming untargetable for 0.75 seconds, then splash down in the direction of your cursor, dealing 70 / 120 / 170 / 220 / 270 (+ 75% AP) magic damage and applying a 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60% slow for 2 seconds. You can reactivate the ability to splash down sooner, dealing damage in a smaller radius with no slow.
We max this ability first as it has very high base damage and ratios, and we want it to be up as fast as possible. Uses for this ability will be explained in the mechanics section.
R:

Fizz throws a lure forward in a line that attracts a shark, causing it to emerge after 2 seconds, dealing magic damage, knocking aside surrounding enemies and slowing them for 1.5 seconds. The further the lure travels in its initial flight, the larger the shark that is attracted, increasing its slow, eruption radius and knockback distance.
GUPPY (<455): 40% slow, 200 eruption radius and 150 unit knockback distance.
GUPPY DAMAGE: 150 / 250 / 350 (+ 60% AP)
CHOMPER (455-910): 60% slow, 320 eruption radius and 250 unit knockback distance.
CHOMPER DAMAGE: 225 / 325 / 425 (+ 80% AP)
GIGALODON (>910): 80% slow, 450 eruption radius and 350 unit knockback distance.
GIGALODON DAMAGE: 300 / 400 / 500 (+ 120% AP)
If an enemy champion intercepts the lure as it flies, it binds to them and causes the shark to emerge at their position. The lure's holder is Slow icon slowed for the duration and Airborne icon knocked up for 1 second instead of away.
Seastone Trident is applied to the enemy the fish attaches to and all enemies affected by the emerging shark.
This is your main burst ability and we max it ASAP. Uses will be covered in the mechanics chapter.
Once we set up a freeze near our turret, push to get level 3 first. If you managed to hit it before your enemy laner, start trading (matchup dependant but generally champions who only have 2 damaging abilities at level 2 such as annie, lux etc.)
You might even get an early kill. Afterwards just continue to last hit with autoattacks and W, while prepping the wave for when you hit 6. MAKE SURE you hit 6 before your opponent for this to work to maximum effect. For easy matchups you can lvl6 kill by yourself, but for those trashy ones you might want your jgler to come along too. Just execute your main combo on the enemy + ignite and they should be dead, even if they flash. After securing the lvl6 kill start shoving your wave out and roaming for maximum map pressure.
Now, onto the mechanics!
Lane trading
You have 3 main ways to trade in lane with

Your first way to trade is the Q-AA-W-E
So you use

The second way, which works against mages like

E-AA-W-Q.
This one involves walking towards your laner and baiting their CC ability
