Introduction

Hi, my name is cami11e. I'm 100% the cleanest ****ing camille and fizz player in the Turkey server. I'm also a hardstuck silver who blames his mistakes on a) the tank meta and b) my team mates but i do know a lot of the theory side of the game. Most of the info in this guide is based off what i see from fizz streamers (fatefalls) and the statistics that i read, as well as my own personal fizz gameplay experience

Also, you may ask: What about tank fizz?
A) No. It's terrible and will put you to bronze within 1 week.

E max or W max and why?
A) E max is the far superior choice at this point in time as fizz's W has quite low base damage but scales up later, hence we max it second.

Fizz in the jungle?
A) AP fizz in the jungle is meh but tankyish fizz in the jungle works out rather well cause tank meta

Pros / Cons

Pros
- Very fun champion to play
- Snowballs hard
- Ganks very well (provided you hit your Chum the Waters!)
- A lot of good matchups
- Fairly easy to pick up and play decently in normals games

Cons
- Be hated by 75% of the community
- Gets banned a lot
- Bad matchups make you want to AFK
- Some combos difficult to master
- Chum the Waters can be hard to land on proactive opponents

Q: Urchin Strike
A similar ability to Yasuo's Sweeping Blade, you do a little dash through the target. This ability always does 100% AD phys damage and 10/25/40/55/70 (+55% AP) magic damage. It also applies on-hit affects, so if you have Seastone Trident activated it will do the extra damage as well. This ability is used as an escape and gap closer, hence we max it last. We'll go over some uses for it in the mechanics section.

W: Seastone Trident
Passively causes enemies hit by your basic attack to bleed for 20/30/40/50/60 plus 40% AP magic damage over 3 seconds, and marks them for 6 seconds. Activate to empower your next basic attack to deal the same damage instantly, and if the enemy has been marked for at least 2 seconds the damage dealt is tripled. Killing the target refunds the cooldown and 20-50 mana
This ability makes farming in lane quite easy as it has a mana and cooldown reset and does extra AA damage. We take it at level 1 and max it second as the early game damage isn't huge.

E: Playful / Trickster
The signature ability of fizz and the most useful, you jump on your trident in the direction of the cursor, becoming untargetable for 0.75 seconds, then splash down in the direction of your cursor, dealing 70 / 120 / 170 / 220 / 270 (+ 75% AP) magic damage and applying a 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60% slow for 2 seconds. You can reactivate the ability to splash down sooner, dealing damage in a smaller radius with no slow.
We max this ability first as it has very high base damage and ratios, and we want it to be up as fast as possible. Uses for this ability will be explained in the mechanics section.

R: Chum the Waters
Fizz throws a lure forward in a line that attracts a shark, causing it to emerge after 2 seconds, dealing magic damage, knocking aside surrounding enemies and slowing them for 1.5 seconds. The further the lure travels in its initial flight, the larger the shark that is attracted, increasing its slow, eruption radius and knockback distance.
GUPPY (<455): 40% slow, 200 eruption radius and 150 unit knockback distance.
GUPPY DAMAGE: 150 / 250 / 350 (+ 60% AP)
CHOMPER (455-910): 60% slow, 320 eruption radius and 250 unit knockback distance.
CHOMPER DAMAGE: 225 / 325 / 425 (+ 80% AP)
GIGALODON (>910): 80% slow, 450 eruption radius and 350 unit knockback distance.
GIGALODON DAMAGE: 300 / 400 / 500 (+ 120% AP)
If an enemy champion intercepts the lure as it flies, it binds to them and causes the shark to emerge at their position. The lure's holder is Slow icon slowed for the duration and Airborne icon knocked up for 1 second instead of away.

Seastone Trident is applied to the enemy the fish attaches to and all enemies affected by the emerging shark.

This is your main burst ability and we max it ASAP. Uses will be covered in the mechanics chapter.

Lane phase in a nutshell.

Straight off the bat at level 1, we want to make sure we aren't pushing the wave, so make sure to auto attack less than our opponent!
Once we set up a freeze near our turret, push to get level 3 first. If you managed to hit it before your enemy laner, start trading (matchup dependant but generally champions who only have 2 damaging abilities at level 2 such as annie, lux etc.)
You might even get an early kill. Afterwards just continue to last hit with autoattacks and W, while prepping the wave for when you hit 6. MAKE SURE you hit 6 before your opponent for this to work to maximum effect. For easy matchups you can lvl6 kill by yourself, but for those trashy ones you might want your jgler to come along too. Just execute your main combo on the enemy + ignite and they should be dead, even if they flash. After securing the lvl6 kill start shoving your wave out and roaming for maximum map pressure.

Now, onto the mechanics!

Lane trading



You have 3 main ways to trade in lane with Fizz
Your first way to trade is the Q-AA-W-E
So you use Urchin Strike to get on top of your opponent, auto attack them, use your Seastone Trident as an auto reset, then Playful / Trickster away to avoid counter trades. This is most effective against melee champs because they probably cannot stop you from dashing towards them, and your untargetability stops them from dashing to you.

The second way, which works against mages like Lux, Syndra or Xerath is to
E-AA-W-Q.
This one involves walking towards your laner and baiting their CC ability
