Urchin strike is fizzes 1st ability, it has very low base damage, and the scaling is lower than playful / trickster, 15% lower to be exact, so overall this ability seems to do less damage, BUT his q also levels with his attack damage, which is equal to 100% of AD, so as much as no-one wants to lets do the maths here.
At level 3 with the rune page I have suggested and the masteries I have given, your important stats should be:
68 Attack damage
47 Ability power
8 Flat magic penetration
6% Magic penetration
6% Armor penetration
At level 3 your abilities will be dealing:
Q: 68 + 10 + 28 = 106
W: 30 + 16 per basic attack, 10 + 7 while activated
E: 70 + 35 = 105
So we now know that your q will be dealing 1 whole more damage than your e! Amazing right? I'm kidding there's much more to it than that. Now turn your w on and add the damage with the q, you get exactly 169 total damage! As you can now see that is a significantly larger amount than your e!
And yet there are more things to take into consideration which make you deal even more damage! Remember how you had that 6% armor + 6% magic pen? Well since your q is classed as a basic attack, but levels with AP, it deals mixed damage! Meaning that your mastery will make you deal even more damage, so lets take into consideration that you basically have 12% mixed penetration on your Q, at level 1+! That's a lot of damage, and with your 8 Magic pen from runes, your basically going to be doing True damage if your opponent was silly enough not to take magic resist runes!
To start, wait until your enemy gets in range of your q, then turn your w on and dash straight through them, if you played this right you should either be right on top of your enemy, or just behind them, hit them with another w buffed basic attack for another chunk of their health, and then use your e to get some distance in the direction that they're trying to run. As they're going to have to walk straight over you hit them with another 1 or 2 basic attacks, and remember that if you did enough damage you can easily finish them off with ignite, or chase after them with flash.
This doubles up as a full burst combo late game, only when you use this later on, your q will be dealing massive damage, due to lich bane and the fact you have fully levelled it. As you dash through them basic attack once, then throw out your ultimate at point blank range, it will latch to them and slow them. As your ultimate is channelling use your e and smash right down on them as your shark comes out of the ground (land shark wtf?)If they still aren't dead your Q should have come off cool down by then, but remember that your q makes you travel a fixed distance, so only use It when they begin heading away from you, other wise if you use it too early you could completely mess up and your enemies will laugh at you as you propel yourself in the wrong direction!
