Greetings Summoner

This is my first guide on my favorite champion in the league of legends. She is a fairly new champion that was released on July 24, 2012.
The reason

Since this is my only guide i will check and update this guide accordingly with upcoming patches and nerfs.
Feel Free to comment and let me know what changes you feel i should make and i will look it over and test it multiple times to see the outcome.

Rise of thorns (Pass-through Skillshot)
- When you are killed zyra's passive turns
Zyra into her plant form which allows her to fire a projectile skill shot. The thorn deals 99 + (25 × level) true damage to each enemy hit by it. The form lasts 8 seconds and has an estimated range of 1,500. Personally i find this passive to be very useful in securing a kill.

Tips

Deadly Bloom (Ground Targeted AoE)
Deadly Bloom
-
Zyra shoots thorns from the ground, dealing 75 / 115 / 155 / 195 / 235 (+60% per ability power) magic damage to enemies within the area.

Tips

When deadly bloom comes into contact with

Rampant Growth
- (Passive) Grants cooldown reduction: 4 / 8 / 12 / 16 / 20 %
- (Active) Plants a seed that lasts 30 seconds. If an enemy champion steps on a seed, it will be destroyed but you will have vision on them for 2 seconds.
-
Zyra periodically stores seeds and she can hold up to 2 seeds at any given time. Zyra cannot plant any more than 4 seeds at a time. Extra plants striking the same target deal 25% less damage.

Tips

When

Grasping Roots (Pass through Skillshot)
-
Zyra Sends a wave of vines dealing 60 / 95 / 130 / 165 / 200 (+50% per ability power) magic damage and rooting all enemies it comes into contact with for for 0.75 / 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 seconds.

Tips
When

Sreanglethorns (Ground targeted AoE)
-
Zyra grows a twisted thicket at the targeted location, dealing 180 / 265 / 350 (70% per ability power) and knocking the enemy champions up after 2 seconds. In addition any Vine Lasher or Thorn Spitter in the area of the
Stranglethorns effect will be granted an extra 50% attack speed.

Tips
Any Vine Lasher or Thorn Spitter in the effect will gain 50% attack speed.
Also using this ult in the mist of a team fight could potentially interrupt another champions ultimate causing your team to gain an edge on the other team.

This is an ideal build. If the enemy team goes for early Magic resist to counter my build i change the order of the build or have a teammate build an Abyssal Scepter:

The

Mid Game
After i have my 3 core early/mid game items i'm looking at how my laning opponent is build or playing. For example in ranked the player's are fairly decent and are about evenly matched i tend to work for my
Zhonya's Hourglass first so i can engage in team fights while being safe knowing i have ZHG if the enemy focuses me or i get caught out of position. On the other hand if i'm getting great ganks and i'm well ahead in my lane i tend to work toward a
Rabadon's Deathcap then
Zhonya's Hourglass after. Personally my positioning is good and i find that ZHG and Rabadon's pointy hat is better than having a
Rod of Ages.
That being said after i have ZHG and RDC i work on getting my
Rylai's Crystal Scepter starting with the
Giant's Belt then coming back later to fully buy it. If your someone who feels
Rod of Ages is better to get early then by all means u can get it after ZHG or RDC or even before both. It really depends on your play style.

Late Game
Here is were things can be very situational. From here you should just about have your boots, ZHG, RDC, 1 ring and (RCS or RoA). Here we look at the enemy team. We should start to see Magic resist being a common thing on the enemies' build so personally i would go void staff but abyssal scepter is also good for now before they nerf the range of it. and the final item of choice i'd go with for bursty opponents is
Banshee's Veil. I see alot of other people working with
Deathfire Grasp or just having a set that looks like boots,ZHG,RDC,RCS,RoA, and VS, which is also a great and mostly optimal build for sustain, damage, and survivability. But as i said its mostly up to your play style, team composition, and even the opponents' build.

SPACE
Aggressive - I push my lane using deadly bloom and creating thorn spitters so i can apply pressure to my lane opponent's turret and help my team ganking.
SPACE
Defensive - This is usually if i had recently been ganked or i am waiting for my jungler to gank mid, I use my thorn spitters to farm for me along with the damage from deadly bloom sometimes if the opposing champion is in there with my creep i throw in some
Grasping Roots causing seeds to turn into vine lashers which in turn slow champions by 30% when they attack.
