Hey guys, I'm new to Swain... and I gotta say I love him! different playing him than my regulars. So here's the question, since I can't seem to post a question on the questions section... I'm so confused about that lol.

EEEEEither way, can anyone let me know their thoughts on building

Righteous Glory > Hextech GLP-800 > Guardian Angel > Rod of Ages > Morellonomicon > Hextech Gunblade

any thoughts? Again, I'm new to swain, so I don't know the perks about him yet

Thanks,
Phil

Building Righteous Glory and Hextech GlP-800 and Rod of Ages is a bit counter intuitive. Those three items are used for the passive but with different situations. The GLP-800 is more for a quick offensive build, Rod of Ages is for sustained game play, and Righteous Glory is a tanky-support item for engaging. Depending on your play style you could go with a full AP build with little CDR. The best way (from a meta standpoint) is to get a Rod of Ages then build tanking items with high health-regen and AOE effects. This is dependent purely upon your play style an can be adjusted accordingly.

By far, the only thing frustrating about playing him is that many seem not to understand the concept of "tanky mage" or "damage soaker", assuming you're suiciding and not using your engages at all.

he's so much fun to play as, and the boost to his range really helps his mid lane

I have seen some really nice swains, but i found that riot intended for him to be a tanky caster lmao he is still not THAT op but great survivability due to passive and ult combo can stay in lane forever. He is rather squishy and can be ganked easily if you are fast enough to dodge his Nevermove, and as tip says moovement speed really counters him more than magic resist to get outta nevermove away from raven slow and ult and to stop him from dealing increased dmg to you. All in all great champion and laning buddy if you can use some snares. :)

Omg such a fun Champion to play, the DoT on this Champion is beyond annoying. He is a great harasser and can survive for so long because of his ulti XD

overall my favorite "new" champion that came out so far.
