If found guilty, what will the punishment consist of?
Reported players, if found guilty, will receive a warning or be temporarily suspended from the game. Each time a player is found guilty, the maximum suspension duration may go up. Before any severe punishment is imposed, the offending player’s report/account will be automatically escalated to a customer service representative for review. Depending on the severity, the representative can take action up to a possible permanent ban.

How many votes are required to result in a suspension?
Currently, we are deliberately keeping the specific number of punishment votes required for disciplinary action a secret. However, in the interest of fairness, players must be subject to an overwhelming majority of guilty votes to undergo punishment.

I was suspended by the Tribunal. How long am I suspended for?
Suspensions that happen as a result of The Tribunal review work on a graduated system, carrying progressively harsher penalties for repeat offenders. In almost all cases, the first offense is a warning rather than a ban. Following that, additional appearances before the Tribunal might carry penalties ranging from a single-day ban to several weeks.

I'm permanently banned, is there any way to appeal?
You always have the option to submit an appeal to our Customer Support Team, but it is extremely unlikely that we will decide to rescind a permanent ban. This is largely because all permanent bans are distributed manually, after careful review of all the evidence, which is generally pretty conclusive.

Gabpin's case seems clear to me, to be honest.

I'm happy to see that some people understand what I say. Yes I rage at people leaving or just not wanting to learn and teling me to stfu when I tell them advice, yess I swear when I'm mad but still does that deserve permaban !? Imo permaban was for hacking or scamming people not swearing and raging... And yes I got banned 3 times before : 1 time 3 days 2 times 2 weeks( the time for verbal abuse). Why would I lie I'm ban anyway so... Anyway my opinion is that they should do like in lot of popular games : block chat for 13- if they don't want to recive complains, because everyone know that online game = interaction with people, so like in real life there is sometimes madness and some qq. Also there is a mature chat filter so oblige to turn it on for -13 account and we are in business no more ban for this reason.
I'm the one swearing, yet others should get a mature chat filter so it doesn't bother them. That's not the way it works bro, it really isn't. Fact is you have said some mean things and even though you perhaps didn't mean to say a lot of it, that doesn't make it right. If you got banned before, I don't see why you couldn't pay more attention to your language.

It seems like people report for everything these days. Example : this morning i played on a smurf and someone was just autoatking minion so I told him : hey, you know you could only last hit so you do more money and we get less chance to get gank.. his answer : /all REPORT gabpinsuce (my smurf name) he is qqing and verbal harrasing me, he told me i was a dumb ******. So when people see that they report me, it goes to tribunal, then tribunal people see : He called us niger, so they ban me even if I didn't called that. It's easy for people if they come in premade of 2 or 3 to argue that someone did something just to put him in big trouble.
Everyone voting on whether or not you should be punished via the Tribunal system would see the chatlog and would see that there was no reason to report you since you didn't call that guy a dumb ******. What you're saying is wrong and the system doesn't work that way. Yes people can be reported for no reason, but that's exactly what the Tribunal is about: players can judge on whether the reason that someone was reported was valid or not. It actually gives Riot a better view of whether or not they should punish someone because they know what the community thinks about a certain case.

So more arrogant stuff like 'oh i'm smarter'.
Rather sound arrogant than an hypocrite.
Nighthawk wrote:
You probably never considered that it could be LUCK or other factors that means you aren't getting banned. Oh and did I mention being smarter then everyone else (or at least thinking you are) isn't a reason to go around judging people?
Nope. there is no luck issue here, tribunal is obviously all about statistic.
Oh and is not just considering myself smarter that gives me rights to judge others, is being smart enough to be objective that does.

Thanks for arguing my point. You haven't been banned cause you didn't do something bannable. Neither did Gabpin. DERRRRRRRRRP.
His ban would like to disagree on this
Do I consider myself a better person than Gabpin?
Naw I probably did worst than what he could do in 10 bans, but I do it with focus and keeping rules in mind.
Dun get me wrong, I do appreciate the fact you want to defend him, that you belive in him and all. But not knowing the guy, nor actually caring for him I am objective enough to value FACTS, he's been banned 3 times, if he's not guilty this is just a huuuuuuge amount of coincidences and bad luck, but then again, luck doesn't exist, is all about statistic.

Riot has millions of players.
The vast majority of those are the people I described. Some are also nice, thoughtful, etc, but not the vast majority.
The Tribunal is open to everyone.
That leads me to my own conclusions in part.

dude i dont think thats even the issue here. First of all, parents should monitor what their children are doing or viewing online and not some company or random people off the internet. there must've been some of actual verbal abuse for anyone to react like this.
i'm not one to judge tho really, cos personally I couldnt care less if someone trolls or flames while i'm playing. But that's just me bro. I just ignore **** like that...but everyone is different and some people might take offense so of course they will end up reporting you.
OHHHH YEAH I WILL BE BACK :
I can assure you that our Tribunal system does not take older cases into account. If you have been suspended previously, the Tribunal will only process cases based on reports since your last suspension.
However, though we do not normally reverse any suspensions, we are not against Summoners being able to develop and grow.
Because of this, I do have an offer to make to you. If you can level a new account (created on or after today's date) and level it to Summoner level 20 while having less than 7 reports, I will be able to return your suspended account to you. These games must also be normal games, meaning no Co-Op vs. AI or custom games, though you can use XP boosts if you wish. I understand that this isn't easy or immediate, but we do not issue permanent suspensions to players for their first Tribunal case except in extreme cases. We do want our players to be able to change and develop, but at the same time we want to maintain a positive playing experience.
Let me know how you wish to proceed.
Happy gaming!

Btw, it's not a bug.
Gabpin's been permabanned.
And to be permabanned, he had to have broken the rules a lot.
I'll look it up and come back with the appropriate research.
yes i know it's not a bbug they just can't write : permaban so they put a date very far away to be sure it's lfietime . Proof here :
