Ofc not Duff, you suck really bad, Morde is awesome. He can play the guitar.
There are two ways of playing: spellvamp or hp regen
Spellvamp has more CDR, hits harder
HP regen is more tanker
Both can tank well and do damage, but they do one of those better. The difference: 1 item.
The best core is Randuins and FoN to get defense and Rylais to get offense.
If you choose spellvamp: either Hextech or Will of Ancients will finish the core
If you choose HP regen: Warmog's will finish the core
Duff's list (fixed):
Hextech - good
Rylai's - great
Sunfire - mediocre (early game armor item, sell it later)
Force of nature - great
Randuins - great
Warmog's - good
Will of the ancients - good
Rabadon's - decent (you can get better items)
Lichbane - kinda bad (there are better options)
Gaurdian angel - decent
Zhonya's - good
Masteries - get defense tree (its a lot better now)
Start with Dorans Shield or Regrowth Pendant (boots arent that good to start with the new masteries)
You can play aggressive with a tanky build and kill the others. You just need to use your skills well. Getting a soul turns games.

careful when to spam your spells as they are costly :(

Click +Rep if you thought I was helpful please! Also check out my Ryze build!
I will Ryze to the occasion... hur hur
tbh
Mordekaiser is really bad right now, mainly because of the community qq, but he's one of my most favorite champs in the game.
Ignite imo is essential,
Flash/
Ghost is a good second pick. Masteries can either go Defensive or Utility. The remake made the offensive and defensive trees more viable.
DON'T start with
Doran's Blade. You aren't going to hit them, you aren't going to capitalize from the lifesteal, and the bonus health can be found from a better item,
Doran's Shield.
Hextech Revolver is pretty vital since it helps you survive and prevents you from committing suicide.
Creeping Death - place this on a minion to get some shield and extra farm.
Siphon of Destruction - Level this with the 2nd most priority (
Children of the Grave is #1 priority), but don't spam it early game. You'll end up killing yourself if you try to. Try to aim it at both minions and at least a champion.
Children of the Grave - Try to aim it at the most valuable target, which is either their AD Carry or AP Carry. The ghost will greatly buff your stats.
Last hit minions until you get your
Hextech Revolver.
Once you get your
Boots and your
Hextech Revolver, the next item that you should go after is either a
Chain Vest or
Negatron Cloak, depending on the enemy on your lane. Counter their damage to make winning your lane easier.
Rylai's Crystal Scepter is a great item to build towards. You can make your
Hextech Revolver into either a
Will of the Ancients or a
Hextech Gunblade. You can opt for both for more spell vamp, but note that you are taking an extra spot.
Note one thing -
Mordekaiser is not a TANK. He is tanky, but do not play him as a tank. Consider him to be like a beefy mage.
Around Level 9, your
Siphon of Destruction should be Level 5. You can really show your true pushing potential and push lanes hard.
In a teamfight, hit as many champions as possible, use
Creeping Death on either your tank or your carry (former is for initiation, latter is for helping the carry with survivability).
Mordekaiser has a great AoE utility, so you can hit more with devastating results.
As Joobleo said, "Farm, Farm, Farm". He can really clean up waves of minions in an instant by late game and since you have resistances and a fair lot of health, you can become a powerful wall.
Good luck :)

Well damn Duff, i can just stop writing the mordekaiser guide I've been working on.
LITERALLY, this is all you need to know in order to properly build Mordekaiser, he's a really easy champ to build for, he is very flexible as well.

Tri lane for life.
Both of you are wrong.

Most people have the mentality they should still build Morde the same, well you can't now. E and Q are top priority, not W.

I start off the game with a either a Doran's Blade or Regrowth pendant, yet I seem to be dying a lot. I usually build Mord with a lot of AP, but I've looked through various builds and haven't found anything that i've stuck to. I do push quite a bit and play aggressive.
I always start the game with like 0-3-1 or something and constantly get accused of feeding. I'm confused as to what to build against certain opponents and was wondering if I can get some mentoring on my beautiful Mordy. =)
Thanks!
