what's wrong with it, it is way better than having to use quotes to show to what post you want to reply

Threaded comments have arrived! As of this update every comment section (with the exception of the forums) will use threaded comments to better facilitate discussion.
- Threaded comments help you keep track of discussions and reply directly to questions about your guides, blogs, etc
- Comments now appear in reverse chronological order by default, but can be sorted by oldest or most popular
- New comment voting! Comment scores will help authors determine what feedback other users agree with, as well as give readers an easy way to show they agree or disagree with a comment
We hope you enjoy these changes, and as always please leave any feedback you have in the thread comments! :)
Prime Comment Control Feature Rework

We've also adjusted the Prime Comment Control feature as part of this update. These changes were based on feedback we received from you, the Prime Members.
- Your collapsed comments are now saved to your account, and only affect your account
- Any comment you collapse on any page will have the collapsed state saved. If you reload the page the comment will still remain collapsed.
With this update the Prime Comment Control feature becomes a lot more flexible, and you no longer have to worry about affecting other user's experience. We hope you enjoy it!
As a reminder the Comment Control feature is for Prime Members only. You can still collapse comments while browsing of course, but they won't stay collapsed when you reload the page unless you're Prime.
Take it & go, my friends !

You can still sort comments by Oldest, if you prefer something similar to the old system (though I'm not really sure why you would).
Do you just not like the look of it or is there something about the old system that you prefer? Other than the fact that the old system is simpler, I see this as an upgrade to the comment system rather than a change. More sorting tools and grouping replies together is a good thing.

Thanks to Minho for the sig!
Threaded comments are annoying and confusing to look at. I legit have no idea who is commenting to which comment here.
Sometimes simple is better.

I kinda know how you feel Joxuu / MM. I don't use Reddit a lot and also find it confusing sometimes when the discussion goes into many levels.
However, the whole team (including myself) felt like guide authors being able to reply directly to comments is a huge boon. Also, like others have said, it groups discussion a lot better so you don't have to go through pages to find a response to your comment, it's just right there.
HOWEVER HOWEVER the display / look of the threaded comments can always be updated later. We definitely had a challenge fitting all the info in / keeping it clean, because there's a lot of stuff to fit in there and it can go many levels deep. It is hard to know how exactly the readability will turn out until you see it in action, and now we can see it in action and can reassess it if necessary.
For those that are having trouble reading comments, if you could point out any specific parts of it that you find is making it hard to read (besides the fact that it's threaded :P) that would be helpful!

FINALLY
God-forsaken sites (looking at you, Dotafire.com) have had this for like a year and we get it only now?!? GG.
Love the update because I love it on Dotkafire, too.

Perhaps it needs to look a little like Reddit more too? The right hand side of the threading is probably unnecessary and you only really need the left hand to tell what belongs where. The bottom nesting of a large thread also looks redundant and reminds me of quote pyramids.
So if you get rid of the two above... (and I'm sure this can be neater etc, just a quick job in Photoshop)

^ text from the replies would roll over to the far right of the border, and the report/quote/etc bar would too. Also, perhaps the thicknesses of the alternating colours should be the same width to add further clarification.
