Hello and welcome to the MOBAFire Patch Summary - 9.5!

This patch includes updates to Kayle and Morgana, including their models, effects and all splash arts. Kayle also received a completely new kit which you can check out below! Other than the big updates, this patch includes buffs to Akali, Rakan and Skarner as well as smaller balance changes to a number of other champions.

Updates: Kayle, the Righteous and Morgana, the Fallen

Kayle and Morgana have both been updated this patch! Learn more about Kayle's new abilities below and click the links for more information about the changes to both champions.


Balance Changes
Buffed

Targon's Brace

Rune Changes

Aftershock resists duration decreased from 3 seconds to 2.5 seconds.

Now grants 2-6 Adaptive Force per stack (10-30 at max stacks) (down from 2-10 per stack).

Bonus damage increased from 4-10% to 5-12%.


Item Changes

Relic Shield procs now heal for a flat amount based on the target's missing health.
Relic Shield: 15 (+2% target's missing health) ⇒ 5-30 at 0-100% target's missing health
Targon's Brace: 40 (+2% target's missing health) ⇒ 10-60 at 0-100% target's missing health
Remnant of the Aspect: 50 (+2% target's missing health) ⇒ 15-90 at 0-100% target's missing health

Attack damage increased from 55 to 60.
Attack speed increased from 25% to 30%


Other Changes

  • ARURF

    • ARURF has been extended for another 2 patches! 9.5 also includes a new set of balance tweaks to the game mode. Check out the full list of balance changes here.

  • Bugfixes

    • Celerity now properly increases bonus movement speed from Time Warp Tonic

    • Fixed a bug where some champions would sometimes stand in place instead of auto-attacking

    • Zombie Brand's VO no longer plays globally when Brand is in vision

    • Lunar Empress Lux's textures no longer becomes corrupted upon death

    • Darius' Base skin no longer plays God King Darius' E - Apprehend quotes

    • Papercraft Anivia's landing SFX during her recall have been restored

    • When champions shield or bind Papercraft Anivia, they are now a consistent size when compared to
      her base during Passive - Rebirth

    • Rengar's R - Thrill of the Hunt true sight indicator from the ability is no longer misplaced on
      Star Guardian Ezreal

    • Udyr's Q - Tiger Stance level-up tooltips now appear

    • Dropping replay files onto the League executable now works in all regions

    • Fixed a bug where the "No Ban" option was missing in the pick/ban phase in Ranked queue

Really happy that they fixed Tryndamere, no more silly Essence Reaver builds on him.

Aftershock still busted. Effect should be halved on ranged champions, or it should scale with bonus resistances instead of being a flat value, aftershock Ryze or Lissandra simply shouldn't exist.

Mundo...bad call Rito. I thought they clearly stated that hard countering is bad game design and champions need counterplay. Same problem with Singed or Garen, passive MR has zero counterplay and is just anti fun.

Stormrazor...no idea why you'd buy this on any ADC. If you want Rapid Firecannon poke on say Caitlyn you just stack AD and crit, it's way more damage than the silly empowered Statikk Shiv which won't even crit since SR doesn't give you crit. A crit build forces you to commit to 3+ crit items so there's no place for SR. Maybe on Tryndamere?

Vi looks like a huge nerf. They reduced 3 of her AD ratios *and* increased her ult cooldown with pretty much no compensation besides a slightly better shield.

Fixed the image in the post. It'll take some more doing to fix the images for the skin on MF since I need to find / make updated versions of the right dimensions.

Skarner changes look interesting. It felt like **** to try to take out the Krug camp so smoothing that out is a nice touch and making the spires not show on the mini-map is nice even if I'm not a big fan of the spire mechanism in general.

Dr. Mundo - Not really sure here. Played him a bit ago and was still getting killed by a damn Elise with Liandry's Torment. Honestly playing most tanks not named Sion feels pretty bad now especially if they have two different damage types that are strong to deal with. Blade of the Ruined King and Vayne also being popular.

Not a fan of Gangplank buffs. That champion is pretty damn non-interactive in lane aside from him Qing you in the face and he can effect anywhere on the map with his ult. If you had a chance of reacting to triple barrel chains in the later stags of the game that would be nice.

Kayle I've only played one game with the updated Kayle and she seemed reasonably effective throughout the game to pretty nutty late game.

Vi kind of curious how this works out. Minions not taking reduced damage from her Q seems like it could make Top Vi back into a thing. More survivability when you do go in seems nice on paper, but you are still liable to get heavily focused so I'm not sure it will be enough. So what if the cool down is reduced when you proc denting blows if you are getting kited and focused you won't be able to proc it.

Cut Down is a strange one. Maybe you pick it verses a team full of tanks, but otherwise Coup de Grace seems useful in more scenarios.

Yorick - Don't think the changes fix why he is problematic which is he is effectively three characters in one with the Maiden and ghouls up, which means you have to either be a directly counter like Jax or tag team him or be very far ahead to deal with him. Maybe have his HP linked to the Maiden or vice versa at some % so that if you damage Yorick it will damage the Maiden though to a lesser extent or if you attack the Maiden it will damage Yorick. That still usually leaves him a couple of ghouls worth of damage up on anyone taking him on. His ghouls are another matter. Clarity wise they are small so you'd think an AoE ability would delete them, but you would be wrong as they seem to take very little damage from AoE abilities. They are also hard to click on if you want to auto them to take them out (I suppose A clicking might be of help here).
