I think he's more like
Amumu, myself. He's got a long range engagement, a CC AoE ultimate, a % max HP skill...but I think he should stack armor and HP. His skills don't have a static HP cost like other champions do; they're based off % current HP, which means it won't hurt to build armor.

But HP would scale with the max HP passive, with
Warmog's Armor passive which then scales with
Spirit Visage, which gives HP aswell.
Randuin's Omen or
Sunfire Aegis should be enough for armor. Or
Locket of the Iron Solari if you like that more.

Why would they?
I mean, if you want the skill costs to feel impactful, of course your passive isn't going to recover all of the cost. Just remember, if you hit multiple enemies, it drops multiple chunks.

Look at every other health champ though,
Vladimir has tiny tiny health costs. Atleast I never notice them.
Dr. Mundo only really burns health when he leaves his fire on forever and then he has a massive healing steroid he doesnt have to move around for.

from what i saw in the vids, that is not true, although the text seems to imply otherwise.
ganking at extreme, demanding a 12%hp upfront to recover 4%, is rather stupid. not to speak of the remaining 10% of the other 2 abilities. you'll have a deficit of 10%hp, regardless the laner hitting you or not.
