If your playstyle is to be aggressive at all times, force picks with [[dark binding]] and zone people then [[frost queen's claim]] is the better item. If you're a really passive laner (which means the enemy duo will zone your ADC for free) and you need disengage or chase potential on your team (for example you have a [[mordekaiser]] who has no way to get to the enemy]] then the speed up from [[talisman of ascension]] is essential. It also nets you more [color=yellow]gold[/color] the longer the game goes on. Plus, the health you get for a minion dying can be really helpful especially against poke lanes, since your only sustain is your passive. tl;dr Coin for teammates that have no gapcloser, Spellthiefs for pick potential and set up for [[dark binding]]. [center]upgrading sightstone[/center] Upgrading to [[ruby sightstone]] is really situational. I see a lot of high elo players do it. I'm not a super experienced support player and I've only been maining it recently because I want to expand my champion pool. If you're a tank ([[leona]], [[braum]]) and you really need vision and can't recall to base as often as you'd like, then it could be worth-while. My issue is you're essentially getting 475ish gold worth of stats (through the health and extra ward) by spending 800 gold. The extra ward isn't significant until late game (and even then I'd rather upgrade my sweeper or buy an elixir than upgrade [[sightstone]]). tl;dr Usually [[ruby sightstone]] sux.[/quote]
