Your job as Singed is to deal damage over 20 seconds and not to burst someone. That is why Liandry's Torment is superior. The magic penetration of it also increases your damage significantly. And, it also gives HP.
Your ult cd, even without CDR, is already low enough to use it to a great effect, same goes for fling and mega adhesive. You won't really need it.

You're supposed to be a bulwark to absorb damage and CC for your team. With your build you only have 750 bonus HP.
That isn't really the problem. IC also runs basically the same build. But, of course, Liandry's Torment gives HP. Personally, I prefer the RoA one more with:
He is gonna kill you!!!
The build is tanky enough. Also, it has 100 Armor and 70 MRes. Can be tankier, sure, but I haven't felt the need other than a couple of times building Thornmail early and getting another defensive item late game. Early Tear of the Goddess is awesome.
I know what my job as Singed is. But as it happens, a lot of the times I'm getting a bunch of kills. I like playing aggressively. And sometimes, when you're in the enemy team's face you need to do as much damage as possible as well, especially if your AP/ADc aren't having the best of games. Obviously, this is situational.
Anyways, wanted to know if anyone felt it was lackluster, had fun with it or it just plain sucked for Singed. Not in theory, but actual testing.

Just realized that when I first thought about Deathfire Grasp, walking back to work from lunch, it was how it would work on Gragas... sigh. Guess I've been playing too much Singed lately. Or LoL for that matter. It was kinda like "hmm good lunch, think i'm starting a headache, nice *** on the one on the left, how long has this store been open, how would DFG work on that fat bastard". Or something.
This topic still counts though. LMAO

your role as singed is to run around and be annoying to the whole team, not to burst one person down, this should answer your question
however ill think about how DFG could be useful on singed at least late game
you pop your ult and run in with your poison, use your slow on the adc/apc/whateverthe**** and then when hes/shes/its in range of DFG you use it and then flip the ****er so it gets bursted by everyone else on your team
however by getting DFG youre doing more single target damage rather than multitarget DoT damage, which is singeds forte, plus your build has a rylais in it so why would you skip torment? youll be doing a lot more damage with torment overall than you would with DFG

One of my soon incoming LoL Math blogs will math the **** outta this. I'm 95% sure Liandry's Torment is better than Deathfire Grasp for Singed but maybe it is worth it. We'll see how much DPS you lose for a bit of extra burst (and it'll be up to you to judge if it was worth it)

IF it happens that I can make a 6th item, I go for Liandry's Torment for the doubled proc from Rylai's slow and extra tankyness.
But I've been thinking that maybe Deathfire Grasp may be a good option. High AP, obviously good. CDR, nice to have to have Insanity Potion up more often. A nifty burst of, for example, 375 damage on a 2.5k HP enemy, BUT the catch here is the 20% increased magic damage taken over 4 seconds. Keeping people in Poison Trail's range over this period of time doesn't seem all that hard. So, basically it's 20% more damage for Q and E.
I imagine a combo of R > Q > DFG > E > Sky AA > Ignite > keep dude in Q range while AAing. Very bursty.
TL;DR: Anyone ever tried Deathfire Grasp on Singed?
