Well, why not compile everything into one?
An idea could be for people with supporting experience, to compile a tip. An in-depth tip, at that.
I'd code it, if people wanted me to.
EDIT: This gives me a fantastic idea. I could open a coding service, where I could code peoples guide.
I seem to be decent at coding, but lack experience.
Would anybody be interested in me coding your guide if you CBF?

^ if i actually had the knowledge to write a good guide you would be on the top of my list to code it.
in any case. the main thing i feel to talk about in a lulu guide besides the usual items/masteries/runes is the skill it takes to use her skills. there are a number of different ways as they can all be offensive and defensive. extending your q by using pix in different ways...on enemy minions....enemy champs...your team...are all important for a good lulu player. you can use pix to shield your allies and slow the enemies behind them. you can use pix on enemy minions to hit them with your lance behind their tower without getting aggro...so many different ways to use her skills....that's what i love about her.

Veng! I am here to help you :) I may not be high-ranked, but I do play only supports.
For runes, I recommend:
-Quint: Health (Usual Matchup), Gold (If your matchup is passive laner)
-Mark: Hybrid Penetration
-Seal: Armor
-Glyph: Mana Regeneration (For matchups that you can harass hard, like
Blitzcrank and
Leona), Magic Resist (If you are against
Sona,
Zyra, and other harass-heavy lane)
For masteries, I feel like 1/13/16 is better than 0/13/17. This is because
Pickpocket
only grants you 3 Gold. You may say, "If that stacks up... that is a lot of benefits!" But if you proc
Pickpocket
30 times, that gives 90 Gold, which is barely enough for Sight Ward. However, if you get
Summoner's Wrath
, it gives you potential for assist money, which easily beats
Pickpocket
.
I usually don't call the items after
Ruby Sightstone and
Mobility Boots as "Core Item" for a reason: many times, you won't even get to that stage of game. But if you do reach that state of game, I do recommend
Shurelya's Battlesong/
Twin Shadows (if your team is lacking hard engage),
Locket of the Iron Solari (I don't really like this item after it got expensive, but if your jungler does not go for it, chances are, you have to go for it. Extra auras it provides are still strong. This item is generally recommended against AOE teams.), Shard of the True Ice (Not a bad item, but I just think
Wild Growth slow is enough. Still, a decent item to chain with your ultimate's slow),
Mikael's Blessing (
Lulu is really good at saving each carry, but if you need extra help against divers, this is the item to go.),
Morellonomicon (If you need massive CDR and/or counter to HP Regen, this is the item to go) and
Frozen Heart (This is against specific matchup, like
Tryndamere. It has hefty price tag, but it has 20% CDR along with it. This >
Randuin's Omen because it gives more stats that
Lulu needs.) Usually, there isn't a set item which you need to go.
For starting items with
Lulu, since her
Glitterlance's mana got nerfed, I usually go for 3
Health Potions, 2 Mana Potions, 1
Vision Ward, and 3 Sight Wards. If you want to be more assertive in the lane and control the brush (something that you have to do against
Blitzcrank and other kill supports), I would go 2
Vision Wards, 2 Sight Wards, 1
Health Potion and 2
Mana Potions, but realize that your HP regen lacks, so avoid getting poked. I do not usually prefer
Faerie Charm start, but if your opponent is
Soraka, I recommend you to go
Faerie Charm start, because you just want to rush Philosopher's Stone.
For Gameplay, I recommend you to mention stuffs about her E + Q Combo. Also, using her
Whimsy well, such as using her
Whimsy when
Leona just used her E and is about to gap-close in and shutting
Nunu & Willump's
Absolute Zero down. Knowing when to push with her
Glitterlance is also important.
Other information that I would love to read is: maxing E and W is actually dependent on situations! Maxing W reduces CD from 18 seconds (Level 1) to 12 seconds (Level 5), while maxing E grants you shield. So, it's really dependent on your situation.
Long stuffs, I know haha :) PM me if you need help Veng!

Interesting. If this is the case, I might consider writing a brief general guide on warding. There was one on mobafire back in season one that seemed pretty good but it's probably a bit outdated now. Also I was a total noob and it could have had misinformation and stuff.
I've learned some stuff about ward placement from playing a lot of jungle and support and I think I could do a pretty good guide. Especially if Veng (and other support guide authors) don't want to have a massive section on warding, they could just go over it briefly and then link my general guide.
Does that sound like it would be worth doing?
I am actually planning on making an in-depth guide about warding. It is probably going to cover from basic wardings to... when to ward in the bottom two brushes and tribush, how to ward against

@Everyone talking about warding, I just finished updating the
Warding wiki article based on contributions from the Q&A thread I created. If you'd like to add to this article, please feel free, either via the Q&A thread, or by posting in the comments of the Wiki article - I would appreciate someone looking over it to ensure all the information is correct! I don't think a warding guide is necessary, I'd rather people used the wiki, and as warding is such a good topic to cover, I hope people will start wiki linking the article in their guides.

What runes would you like to see?
Would you prefer 1/13/16 or 0/13/17 masteries?
What core item would you prefer after boots / ruby sightstone?
What would you like my starting items to be?
What else would you like to see in the gameplay section?
Any other suggestions?
5 Mana Regen / 5 at level 18 glyphs
4 Magic Resist glyphs
4 Health seals
5 Armor seals
Hybrid Penetration marks
Gold quints
IMO 0/9/21 is better when you are playing
Lulu. Might be personal preference though.
Locket of the Iron Solari and
Shurelya's Battlesong
2x
Vision Ward 3x sight ward and health potions
When to use/max shield and when you use E you can shoot Q farther etc.

In this guide I would like to see an in-depth explanation of why supports ward and how to do it correctly. It's not about putting a ward in every possible brush, and I think it's something that no support guide yet (even those scouted) have covered in as much depth as it should be.
