So I got Plat yesterday

But for some weird reason I don't care at all xD...I would like to get Diamond because of a small promise I made to someone. I literally didn't give a damn about reaching Plat. When I won the game I was like "oh yay..plat..yay.." and that was it.

But I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit relieved. Reaching Plat halfway through the season means I have plenty of time to reach Diamond which is a really good thing. It would be quite the achievement to reach Diamond with 15-30 fps while maining Support xD

Well that's about all I had to say. I know I haven't been blogging recently but it's mostly because I have no idea what to talk about. I'll figure something out!

Thanks for reading this short post~! <3

Musings on the Jungle 2: Effective Duo Ques

So the topic for today's blog entry is Effective Duo Queuing. What I mean by effective is that you're queued up with a player who is going to have a positive effect on your win/loss ratio, and vice versa of course. With that being said here are the 5 "rules" I've learned about how to make a duo worthwhile.
  1. Always duo with someone who plays a role that compliments your own
  2. Always use some kind of voice communication software
  3. Always duo with someone at your skill level, not one above or below you
  4. Always be gracious and take the blame for your mistakes
  5. Always discuss your games after you finish them, watch them later if possible
The one rule that I don't like putting on this list is to play with someone you actually like. I think that's something pretty self explanatory. Back to the list now. Rule #1 is something that most people overlook, and that's why I put it first on the list. If you're going to duo queue with someone, you need to be playing complimentary roles. You shou…

Musings on the Jungle 1: Hiya!

Musings on the Jungle: 1

So there's a couple things that I want to talk about in this first issue. Firstly, I need to say that tanky utility junglers aren't completely back yet. Even if Riot decided to give them a little love, they still aren't to the point where you should take them over champions like Lee Sin and Elise. Secondly I want to say a few words about how junglers should go about making decisions on patch 4.11. And finally I want to say a little bit about who I am and why you should actually take my advice.
  1. Patches 4.10 and 4.11 saw Riot giving some major concessions to the tanky utility junglers who had fallen out of the meta since season 3. While a couple champions in particular got quality of life changes to their kit (here's looking at you

At the airport, Jamba Juice is good

So as some of you know I'm traveling this weekend. A mandatory trip for work (I WILL NOT DIVULGE MY TRADE) and I was silly enough to not bring my computer with me. That means no league, or watching OGN, or normal streams, or WHY DIDNT I BRING MY LAPTOP, WHY?!?! I'll be getting back home late Sunday night, and then I'll get to work on writing the first entry of "Musings on the Jungle" for all you PORO-items out there.

Other than that I'm looking to start an amateur level team for tournaments and such and such. My friend Phu (some of you might have read his Lux guide under the name Kaanon) would probably take the midlane role, and I would jungle. So if anyone at plat or above is interested in having a good time and trying our hand at some tournaments then HMU BRUH!

New Jungler blog coming soon!

Hey Poro-ites! Grand Marshall Poro here, I just wanted to talk to you guys about the new blog I'm starting here on Mobafire, called Musings on the Jungle. As the name suggests its going to be a jungle focused blog where I talk about my take on the current patch and meta in LoL. I will be posting to it at least bi-weekly and I hope that the community can learn from a 2 year veteran with like 4000 games overall. Expect it to drop the first entry sometime next week.

Anyhow, thanks for checking it out in advance friends. Happy ganking, and...

Ryze to the top!

Ryze to the top!
My ranked team Anitnomilkmanhere in august, 2014 is going to start our Ryze to the top. Our Ryze to the top is going to take us hopefully from bronze up to silver! Or possibly higher. What we are going to do is, if you subscribe to my Mobafire and/or follow me on twitch. We will do a contest, a random follower and subscriber if picked they will get a free Ryze skin of their choice!(the skin must not be unavailable for purchase)

Veigar

After playing veigar for a while, I have come to the conclusion that veigar can possibly be the best high damage mage in the game. Due to the fact that he is very important in team fights, this can often mean he is targeted first. Veigar is also a very squishy champion, he dies very easily in team fights or in lane making him not very popular. But when you coordinate with your team correctly veigar can stay alive, and deal a lot of damage to his enemy. In lane you always want to stay at an distances from your enemy no matter who they are. Safely Q(baleful strike) enemy minions and your enemy. By Qing the minions and getting a last hit you get 1+ ability power. I suggest maxing you baleful strike first, then your dark matter. In conclusion veigar is a key player for any team played correctly.

I feel like Sona's aura is a bit...small? Anyways, that's the most recent news, let me know what you think.

On a side note, if anyone is up for making banners/other art for a guide, who has experience in doing so, please PM me and I will let you know the details. I would search through the art section of MOBA, but I'm not sure who's active or 'deceased'. Please keep in mind I might come up with other requests as I progress through my guide. And of course I will credit you in my guide and +rep. Thanks!

Throw some ideas at me

The time has come when I'm starting to become relatively bored of my current main support; which in this case happens to be Vel'Koz. Previously it was Nami, who has sadly become pretty popular right now, so my interest in her declines.

I want to learn a new non-meta (or FotM, w/e) support, or someone who is relatively unpopular for most playerbase. Of course, nothing troll-ish there or there, something that can honestly work.
