Champion Build Guide

[11.20] Menace To LoL Diana

By King Turtle
Build Intro
So this build is going to use Diana's passive to make her objective taking potential even stronger, while still giving her enough power to keep her strong in a fight, and a special interaction that turns her into an unstoppable machine in 1v1s and 1v2s. We'll be going through all of it in the writeup.
Hextech Rocketbelt
Hextech Rocketbelt is a mythic I flip flop on a lot, especially with the diana build. Some patches I like Rocketbelt and some patches I like Luden's, this being a patch where I have a preference for Rocketbelt. It's a nice pairing with her kit and allows you to get closer to an enemy for those max range Qs. I believe it's also the better mythic for this current version of the build.
Guinsoos Rageblade
So the way Guinsoos interacts with Diana passive is crazy. For Context, Diana passive grants 1 stack every auto attack, and every 3rd stack makes her auto empowered to deal 20-250(+40% AP) magic damage on everything from minions to towers to nexus. Since the stacks are granted on-hit, Guinsoos will also interact with passive stacks. Meaning instead of every 3rd auto being empowered, you have your empowered auto every 2nd auto. (Quick note that this interaction doesn't work on towers but will work on champions, minions, and other objectives like dragons and baron.) Guinsoos is also a good combination with Nashors Tooth, which I'll cover in that chapter.
Sorc Shoes
Cheap and easy magic penetration. That's about it.
Nashors Tooth
This build is especially good on Diana because it works well with passive because of item passive applying (15+20% AP) magic damage on-hit on attacks, and the 50% attack speed is incredible. You also gain 100 AP which helps keep your Burst damage up to expectations. The combination this creates with Guinsoos Rageblade is especially great because you're also gaining 45% attack speed from Guinsoos. Once these 2 items are complete, you'll be killing baron, towers, and your opponents sanity at mach 5.
Horizon Focus
Horizon Focus is good for the amp damage, the 115 AP gain, and how easy it is to trigger on Diana. There are 2 ways to trigger Horizon Focus passive, a Max Range Q, or R. R is the easier path because all you have to do is hit someone with it for the passive to proc. Once the enemies are pulled in you have 10% bonus damage to those enemies for 6 seconds. That should be enough time for full combo plus a few autos. This items fits in well with the rest of the build, and is a good late game option to help with beefier champions.
Rabadon's Deathcap
Generally I don't like to include Rabadon's Deathcap into my main builds as it is an incredibly costly item and won't be bought most games, but with this build it's just too good to pass up as it allows for some insane full combos and 1v3 all ins that end in 3 people absolutely murdered on the ground. It's so fun and completely worth the wait when you get that one game that goes for 40 minutes.
Build Conclusion
In all, This build gives plenty of AP while having other damage sources to help make up for lost AP that you'd get from a normal build. It is incredibly fun, and your objective taking speed is incredible. I've also had people test this build in the jungle and have gotten mostly positive responses, so If you ever feel like it, you could try this as a jungler.
Final Note
After some testing in the PBE with the new items, I'm currently planning on swapping Shadowflame in for nashors tooth, as I believe I have enough attack speed without it and think it would be more useful to use the on-hit as a cleanup tool after a full combo and for objective taking, rather than focusing on-hit and lacking power.
