Threats & Synergies
JUNGLE: Lee's (E) can reveal you during your stealth which gives the enemy jungler/team an extra bit of stealth reveal as well as pink wards. He is a very strong and mobile champion, even in the early game where Akali is very weak. He can easily ruin your day and put you far behind before you get a chance to snowball out of control.
Don't see him mid-lane often but he can be such a pain for Akali. He is very strong early game which is the point that you struggle at. He can harass you with his (E) throught laning phase which can make it bery difficult for you to farm. Play safe, farm as much as you can. At level 6 call for jungler help and try to kill him. Roam and look for picks in other lanes until you can 1v1 him.
Annie's immobile and very predictable but this doesn't make her an easy match-up for Akali. She has insane burst damage and multiple ways of stunning you. If she ults you and gets her stun off, it is highly likely that you will die. Tibbers does AOE damage so hiding in your shroud will not save you from his damage. Her (W) can also hit you while you are in your shroud. Farm and Roam in this lane. Try only engage on her if her stun is down, otherwise you are likely going to die.
He will push the lane extremely hard which is going to make it very difficult for you to roam. His passive is a problem for you so you need to remove it from him. His voidlings along with the rest of his kit and ultimate will make for an easy kill for him on you. Call for jungler help and try to punish him for any mistakes he makes. Take Teleport for this lane and remind your bot lane to keep a deep ward for you. Cleanse could be an option either, depending on your confidence.
Very hard counter for you as Akali!! If the Diana is anywhere near decent this is going to be painful. She can easily out-trade you and she gets tanky too. She has a shield, she get really tanky and once she hits level 6 you are in for a real tough time. You will have to dodge her (Q) during trades in order to negate some of her damage. Use your mobility to your advantage and try to out-roam her and get picks around the map. Farm as much as possible but be aware, this is a TOUGH match-up!
This lane is a NIGHTMARE pre level 6. She massively outranges you so try your best to avoid her skill-shots. Avoid giving her free harass. She can still hit you hard even under your tower. Farm as much as you safely can and you can try to abuse her cooldowns [especially her (E)] should she miss a spell on you. After level 6 this lane become a lot easier as you can now burst her down 100-0, especially with some jungler help.
This is a skill match-up and you might struggle early in laning phase. This lane becomes a lot easier after level 6 so keep your head down, try your best to farm and try not to die to ganks or solo in lane. After 6 you should either try to kill her and if this is not possible, call for jungler help. Don't forget to roam and look for picks elsewhere.
Swain has it easy against you for the first 6 levels. He has loads of sustain and will be building tanky. As he gets tanky as the game progresses you may have to look for kills elsewhere unless your jungler helps you out or you are pretty far ahead. Farm as much as you can and punish him for any mistake he makes. Freeze the lane near your turret if needed. After level 6 you can possibly win trades against him.
Zed will out-trade you pre 6 and his damage is higher than one would expect. He is not an extreme threat to you but still play with caution. Rush Seekers Armguard in this matchup and convert it into a Zhonya first item if need be. After level 6 you can burst him down. If he ulti's you, use your (W) as he can't hit what he can't see. Just take care he doesn't have a pink ward! You can also completely ruin his ultimate by having a Zhonya.
Orianna will try to zone and bully you off your farm with her ball. She can be annoying because they usually take barrier and this combined with her (E) can be enough to stop you from 100-0 her during a trade. It's also easy for her to ulti you if she simply puts the ball on herself and ults. Farm and try to exploit and mistakes she makes. Don't forget to roam and look for picks elsewhere. Call for jungler help to secure a kill on her.
This is a skill match-up but also a difficult lane pre level 6. She has sustain from her passive and her (Q) really hurts. You really need to dodge her skill-shots in order to not give her a tonne of free harass on you. Take a charm to the face and she can possibly 100-0 you, especially if she hits level 6 before you. Consider starting boots and health pots for this match-up. After level 6 this lane becomes easier.
Fizz is a skill match-up and this lane can go either way. Try your best not to die to him early or you could find that he snowballs off you, likewise you can do the same to him. He has impressive damage throughout all stages of the game but you need to play with caution early as he has much more early potential on you and can all-in you after level 3. Play with caution and DO NOT underestimate his early damage. If you can avoid his ultimate after level 6 you should be able to 1v1 him, although this will still take some doing. He will roam a lot so be sure to follow or be of some other use.
Lux has a massive range advantage over you but she is squishy and has no real escape. If she plays aggressively and keeps pushing into you, call for a gank from your jungler. Hopefully they will listen and be in a position to help you secure a kill. After level 6 be sure not to get caught off-guard because her (E) will slow you, which will make it easier for her to (Q) + (R) you. If she takes Barrier, it can be difficult to 100-0 her. Avoid her skill shots in-lane and kill her after level 6. Farm as much as you can and try to roam whenever possible. She is an easy kill after 6!
Very squishy champion and you should have no problem bursting him down after level 6. Annoyingly, he will be able to one-shot a carry on your team (including you) late-game regardless of what you do to him in laning phase :( . Kill him as much as you can, look for picks and help other lanes to win.
He is squishy but may be able to poke you quiet a bit in the early levels. You can wait for him to pick a card (other than yellow) before trying to trade with him. He will want to roam to other lanes with his ulti so be sure to do your part also, either be ahead of the roam or use teleport. You need to look for picks and roam throughout laning phase. After level 6 you should have no problem 100-0 him but be careful and aware of his jungler.
Anivia is very squishy and mana dependant so you need to keep an eye on it's level during laning phase. You really need to dodge her (Q) every time and this will make the lane a little bit easier for you. Her passive is very annoying as it can be too late to secure a kill if the jungler arrives for her defense. She is able to push lane hard and easily clear waves from her turret with her ultimate. Difficult lane and difficult to secure kills on her after 6 if you are slow to burst her down as you will literally be standing in her ultimate as you try to kill her. Keep an eye out for easier kills around the map.
Azir has LOTS of range and is a serious lane bully which makes it a difficult early game for Akali. He will use his soldiers to zone you off your farm and the annoying this is they can stand under your turret poking you too. He's squishy though so if you can get up-close to him after lvl 6 you will have no problem killing him, especially if you have some jungler help. Very annoying lane pre 6!
Brand is very squishy but he will do a LOT of damage to you if he manages to land his combo. It's possible to stand behind minions to block his (Q). Try to avoid his spells as much as you can and farm until level 6. He is easy picking for you once you have your ultimate!
Corki is a mobile champion and he deals a lot of damage. It's likely that he will try to bully you off your farm pre 6. fter level 6, he gets a lot of annoying poke on you with his (R) Missile Barrage and he will hurt a lot but if you manage to stick to him on an engage you will 100-0 him no problem. Use caution if he takes barrier as it will make him a little harder to kill. Farm as much as you can and try to roam to other lanes to help secure kills and pressure.
Ekko can be a nuisance to lane against but after level 6 he becomes an easier target for you. You need to dodge his (Q) in order to not give him tonnes of free harass. Once level 6 arrives go kill him, just be aware of his Ultimate and don't get trolled into making a silly engage. Ideally your jungler will have some hard CC in order to lock him down during ganks, otherwise he can be quiet slippery.
This is a lane where he will generally have you shoved up to your tower all day long with his turrets. They are pretty squishy so try to not let him get x3 of them set-up. Try to farm as much as you can, look for picks and out-roam him if possible. Use your mobility to your advantage. He is pretty squishy so after level 6 you can 100-0 him but be aware, even after he is dead the turrets will continue to shoot at you. You can use your Shroud to drop tower agro once he is dead. It is a tough lane Pre 6 though!
I don't see many Kennen's mid lane but that being said he is really annoying to lane against. Be sure to stay behind your creeps and try your best not to let him get marks on you. You might end up having to farm under tower in this match-up but you can try to hit him with your (Q) when his abilities are on Cooldown. There's not much you can do against him until level 6. Take care of him having Zhonya as he can bait you easily with it and his Ultimate.
Laning against Kassadin should be reasonably OK due to him being a melee champion. Try to farm as much as you can during laning phase and you can trade with him whenever he walks up to farm a creep. His (Q) is annoying as it offers him a shield. After 6, he doesn't have as much burst as Akali and if you are even or ahead of him you should be able to kill him with x3 ultimate stacks. If you fall behind though, this will be difficult. He will want to roam so be sure to either follow him or else be the one leading the roam.
This is a skill match-up but you need to be carelful of taking loads of free harass from her (Q). If she walks up to last-hit a minion you can possibly trade her. Zhonya can be a nice item to pick up after your gun-blade, especially if the top-laner / jungler are AD champs. Consider starting boots and health potions as they will enable you to dodge her daggers easier. You can try to bait her ultimate and then shroud yourself as you run away or (R) onto a minion to escape it. Once her ultimate is on CD, you can go for the kill. Otherwise, if you have a jungler with hard CC they can lock down her ultimate as you fight during a gank. She will roam, be sure to follow or be ahead of her.
This is a skill match-up but she is a nightmare lane pre 6. Make sure you don't take too much free harass early game as she packs quiet a punch. Try your best not to fall behind because even after level 6 she is still a problem due to her ultimate. Call for jungler help in this match-up and be weary of engaging on her. Farm as much as possible, roam and look for picks especially in botlane.
Lissandra can troll you quiet a bit with her (E) but you are a mobile champion with great burst. Avoid her skill shots during laning phase, farm as much as you can and wait for level 6 to kill her. Any time her ultimate is on cooldown, she is an easy kill. Take care of her engage though as she can easily get to you with (E) and lock you down as her Jungler arrives. After level 6, with her ultimate she can kill you just as easily as you can kill her. Look for picks elsewhere if her ultimate is up.
You will need to dodge her (Q), if you keep eating them up then you will end up having a terrible time. Ideally, you should try to punish her every time she misses her (Q) and it's on CD. If you cannot kill her then just farm as much as possible. Use your mobility to your advantage, use shroud aggressively as well as defensively and apply pressure on her. If she ults you, you can dash to a minion to try to escape the stun, else you can try to use your shroud. She should be easy pickings for Akali, especially after level 6.
It's not very likely you will be up against a Rumble in mid-lane but it can happen. He has decent early damage and can hurt you a lot. You will need to take advantage of his heat-bar when he is silenced but be aware that his AA will be stronger during this time. He only deals AP so picking up a little MR might go a long way for you. Be sure to get out of his Ultimate as quickly as possible as it really hurts, especially when he has a few items. After level 6 he should be much easier to deal with.
Laning phase should be ok against Ryze but you will need to kill him ASAP in order to get enough of an advantage to kill him a little bit later. He gets very tanky and you will likely struggle to bring him from 100-0 unless he is very far behind. He will outscale you a LOT so be sure to identify the time where you cannot trade with him anymore and go pick up some kills elsewhere on the map.
Taliyah out-ranges you quiet a bit and if she manages to land a combo on you, it'll hurt a lot. Play safe and dodge her skills until level 6. Early laning phase will be difficult but once you get your ultimate up she should be no problem for you to 100-0.
Start with cloth armour and health potions and rush Seekers Armguard if under preasure (try to aim for gunblade though, unless you really need it). Farm as much as you can and try your best to dodge his (W). If his (W) is on cool-down you can harass him and consume your (Q) mark. He will look to roam a lot so be sure to either follow him or be ahead of him and roam yourself.
He out-ranges you a LOT and hits hard. Try to not get hit by his combo's. This is a difficult lane pre 6 but if you don't eat up his combo's all the time you will put yourself in a great position to punish him once you have your ultimate. This lane is really going to rely on how decent you are at avoiding his skill shots and knock up. He has 4 skill shots which makes your mobility very difficult for him to deal with. When he ulti's you, you can dash to him and then walk behind him if need be. Use your shroud to your advantage.
Vladimir is a nuisance champion to play against, I really dislike him. Ignite is a decent summoner spell to take against him as it will reduce his ability to sustain in fights. His early game is very weak but this does not mean he cant harass you much and sustain himself. Seeing as you are weak early game also, by the time you get stronger and able to deal with him he will have some items himself which will likely begin with MR. Look for kills and picks in other lanes and the jungle as he will be next to impossible to kill without jungler help and CC.
If you can dodge his skill shots you will make this lane a whole lot easier than it'll be if you keep eating them up. This is easier said than done and it's quiet annoying how far back he can farm from. Do your best not do die and get to level 6, once you have your ultimate ready to go he is an easy champion to 100-0.
This 'should' be a relatively easy lane for you but be careful of his mobility by using (E) through minions - don't let this panic you into silly trades.You need to proc his shield with your (Q) and then hit him with an auto-attack. Only trade with him once you have taken away his shield. You can start cloth armour and health pots for some extra protection against him. He is squishy so from level 6+ you should have no problem 100-0 him.
My advice in this match-up is to play safe until level 6. He has a massive range advantage over you and will take full advantage of this. Try your best not to die in this lane early as it will put you at a serious disadvantage against him. Farm with your (Q) if that is all you can do. As long as you haven't fallen massively behind once you hit level 6 the lane swings to your favour. If you step on his mines you're gonna get slowed as well as take damage and this is going to make it much easier for him to land AA and abilities on you.
First thing's first, be careful of his level 2 - it hurts a LOT more than one would expect. He is difficult to lane against and pretty much all you can do for the first few levels is farm. You can start with boots and potions to give you some extra movement speed to avoid his bombs. After level 6 he is still an issue due to his ultimate but you should be able to burst him down fairly quickly.
This is a skill match-up but you need to lane against her with caution. She will use her range advantage in order to zone you off your CS and bully you out of lane. You need to avoid her skill shots (Q) and (W), this can be easier said than done. Her (W) will stop you being able to use your (R). Assuming you can get to her without taking an ultimate to the face, after level 6 you should have the ability to 100-0 her, especially with some jungler help. She packs a lot of DPS though, so if you get stunned by that ultimate - you are in trouble.
Hey guys, my in-game name is FalleN3. I'm from Ireland and have been playing League of Legends for some years now. I'm a mid lane Annie main and play her almost exclusively but I do enjoy to play champions such as Akali, Fizz & Orianna among others too.
I stream Monday to Thursdays at 6pm GMT+1 until 9pm GMT+1. It's highly unlikely that you will learn anything by watching me on Twitch but I do offer a chilled and relaxed stream.
Akali is a melee range AP Burst Assassin. She's a great champion for assassinating squishy enemies throughout a game, as along as you are snowballing. If you're falling behind or not quiet snowballing in a game Akali can be find it difficult to be of great use to her team.
Like most assassins, she is vulnerable to hard CC and very squishy. Her build, as I play her is more about sustaining and regenerating health during battle as opposed to stacking defensive stats.
Her kit contains a decent amount of sustain which will help her to survive and increase your chances to win prolonged skirmishes. Akali does not rely on mana, instead she uses energy which means you will not rely on mana items, you won't need blue buff (jungler can keep it) and you will have more of a variety of starting-item options compared to a mage. Akali has high mobility and is capable of sticking to slippery enemies if they try to escape, Ahri, LeBlanc, Lucian, Tristana etc.. This mobility also makes roaming a possibility which will help you to snowball and enable you to help other laners gain an advantage.
Akali can struggle in laning phase, especially against ranged champions like Xerath, Syndra, Lux etc.. but generally speaking, after level 6 most of these champions become easy prey for her.

Hitting a champion with 3 seperate attacks or abilities in 3s deals bonus adaptive damge. This is a great keystone on Akali because she is an assassin that will naturally utilize this when you engage on an enemy. A combo could be (Q)+(R)+(AA) which will proc this keystone. It suits Akali kit perfectly.
Gain a burst of Lethality and Magic Penetration after using dash, leap, blink or teleport. The slight increase in Lethality and Magic Pen is fantastic on Akali and will certainly help you to get your job done on an all-in (assassinating an enemy) or provide extra damage when you are harrassing.
Collect eyeballs for champion and ward takedowns. Gain permanent AD or AP, adaptive for each eyeball plus bonus upon collection completion. Akali is an assassin and any extra bit of AP / AD is really going to help you to burst your target down. I prefer Eyeball Collection over Zombie Ward and Ghost Poro because Akali is all about assassinating targets. Play sensibly and ward as normal and enjoy the benefits of the extra stats granted from takedowns instead.
Unique takedowns grant permanent healing from ability damage. Akali can land insane damage to a carry if she lands a full combo. The extra bit of healing combined with your Hextech Gunblade can be enough to give you the last bit of health needed to get the job done or to escape right after a teamfight, engage or tower dive.
Coup De Grace:
Deal 7% more damage to champions who have less than 40% health. Additionaly, takedowns grant an adaptive bonus of 9 Attack Damage or 15 Ability Power for 10 Seconds. Again, with Akali you are playing an assassin. Anything that can offer you extra damage to burst down a carry is a great pick. I really like this on Akali as it adds a decent bit of extra burst.
Takedowns restore 12% of your missing health and grant an additional 20 gold. Fantastic choice on Akali really as it will offer you some survivability after going all in for an assassination. You quiet often need to dive deep into the backline when playing Akali to take out a carry, manage to do this successfully and the extra 12% health gained for your takedown can be just what you need to make it back out alive.

|Flash is MUST HAVE spell on Akali. It can be used as a gap-closer, to engage/disengage or escape ganks and in general to make more plays. It's an important spell for late game engages and team fights as it enables you to get to the enemy teams back-line. I take it in 100% of my Akali games.|
|Teleport can be used if you want to pressure other lanes, especially bot lane. Just remind your bot lane to ward in the brushes. It also opens up the door for you to split push and still have the ability to quickly join your team if need be. I take Teleport in almost all of my Akali games.|
|Ignite offers extra lane pressure. It's also a great spell to take against self healing champions. It's a solid choice and you can take Ignite in most games, should you choose to.|

|Doran's Shield is a solid choice to start with in general. It will allow you to trade in lane and also heal up from a champion that pokes you a lot. Akali has a weak laning phase so being able to sustain early will definitely help you out. It's a solid go-to starting item for Akali.|
|Boots of Speed will help you to dodge skill-shots and make it a bit easier to position in the early laning phase. Consider starting Boots of Speed against enemies with ranged skill-shots like Lux, Syndra, Morgana, Nidalee etc...|
|Cloth Armor is a great choice to start with against any AD champion. It's a part of the Seeker's Armguard which means you will be able to pick it up faster. Remember, you do not need to finish Seeker's Armguard into a Zhonya's Hourglass right away.|
|The Dark Seal can be taken if you 'will win' the lane easily and want to start snowballing quickly.|
|Hextech Gunblade is your core item and an absolute MUST HAVE on Akali. It gives you AD, AP and heals you too. Then there is the 'active' which will damage and slow an enemy champion. Buy this item every game!|
|Zhonya's Hourglass I buy Zhonya's in almost every single game with Akali and consider it a core item. It has a great active that can save you countless times and will open up many more riskier plays for you. You can dive towers or deep into the enemy backline and use zhonya to survive. A great item to rush if you are struggling against a Zed or Talon or other AD champs etc..|
|Rabadon's Deathcap When you just need raw ability power, this is a great item. +120 Ability Power and increases your total AP by +40% Ability Power which is an amazing increase to your burst potential. This offers no defensive stats and continues your build into a glass-cannon so be aware of this and play safely as the game progresses.|
|Void Staff It's great to have the extra Magic Penetration. A must have item as games go on in length as it will help you to burst through the enemies Magic Resist. It's a great option even if they are not 'stacking' MR.|
|Morellonomicon is a perfect item to help you shut down 'healing champions' such as Swain, Dr. Mundo, Maokai, Soraka, Garen, Vladimir etc.. It also gives you some flat magic penetration from it's Oblivion Orb component which will help you to assassinate squishy targets!|
|Liandry's Torment can be taken if the enemy team consists of high health tanks and the extra health will help you out when in extended fights. This item synergizes really well with Rylai's Crystal Scepter.|
|Banshee's Veil Gives you +75 Ability Power, +60 Magic Resist and 10% Cooldown Reduction. It's passive grants a spell shield that blocks the next enemy ability. It refreshes after no damage is taken from enemy champions for 40 seconds. It is an excellent item for when you're matched against an AP heavy team.|
|Rylai's Crystal Scepter I love this item. Lots of health, some Ability Power and a useful slow. It's passive can be useful for helping you to stick to a slippery enemy.|
|Guardian Angel is a great item to finish up your build with. It gives you some extra AD and armour, and of course an Extra Life which is awesome late game as you can make plays in team-fights and survive.|
|Abyssal Mask can be a useful item to pick up if the enemy mage or AP heavy team are very far ahead of you. Only purchase it if you are behind and you really need the MR.|
|Lich Bane I am not a fan of Lich Bane on Akali. That doesn't mean that it can't be a good pick in some games, I just don't particularly like it. It will however, offer you some movement speed, CDR and extra burst.|

Twin Disciplines: Akali's first two attacks are empowered. The first strike heals her, and the second strike deals bonus magic damage. Twin Disciplines will recharge itself automatically a short while after being used.
This is such a strong passive and it offers Akali fantastic sustain.
Mark of the Assassin: Akali spins her kama at a target enemy to deal Magic Damage and mark the target for 6 seconds. Akali's melee attacks against a marked target will trigger and consume the mark to cause additional damage and restore Energy.
Akali throws her kama at a target enemy to deal 35/55/75/95/115 (+40% Ability Power) magic damage and mark the target for 6 seconds.Akali's melee attacks against a marked target will consume the mark to deal 45/70/95/120/145 (+50% Ability Power) magic damage and restore 40 energy.
Twilight Shroud: Akali teleports to a nearby location, leaving a cover of smoke at her previous location. While inside the shroud, Akali becomes Invisible and gains Movement Speed. Attacking or using abilities will briefly reveal her. Enemies inside the smoke have their Movement Speed reduced.
Akali teleports to a nearby location, leaving a cover of smoke at her previous location that lasts for 8 seconds and slows enemies within its area by 14/18/22/26/30%. While inside the shroud Akali gains Invisibility and 20/40/60/80/100% Movement Speed. Attacking or using abilities briefly removes Invisibility.
Crescent Slash: Akali flourishes her kamas, hitting nearby units for 70/100/130/160/190 (+60% of ability power) (+0.8 per attack damage) physical damage. If Crescent Slash kills a unit, its cooldown is 60% refunded.
Shadow Dance: Akali moves through shadows to quickly strike through her target, dealing damage and consuming an Essence of Shadow charge. Akali recharges Essence of Shadow charges periodically, max 3 stacks.
Akali quickly strikes through her target, dealing 50/100/150(+35% Ability Power) magic damage. Akali stores an Essence of Shadow on kills and assists as well as every 30/22.5/15 seconds up to 3 total.

Levels 1-6 can vary depending on the champion that you are playing against. Laning phase is Akali's achilles heel, a time where she is most vulnerable. Remember you are very squishy but you do have some nice sustain. Once you get to level 6, the game become wide open to you.
If you're playing against a ranged opponent such as Ahri, Orianna, Syndra, Brand, Xerath etc.. it can be very difficult to CS as well as harass the enemy. Start with a point in (Q) Mark of the Assassin and then at level 2 put a point in (W) - Twilight Shroud. Your objective here is to try not give away too much free harass and to not get zoned/bullied off your farm completely. Do not push the lane, try your best to freeze it near your tower. Ideally your jungler will be on-the-ball and punish them for overextending or being out of position. You need to survive this lane until level 6 where you get a massive power-spike and the ability to secure kills either in lane or elsewhere.
For melee opponents such as Talon, Zed, Diana etc.. you can trade more often with them using your Mark of the Assassin and AA when they come up to CS or try to harass you. Use your Twilight Shroud to your advantage in order to reduce or avoid some of their damage. Farm as much as you can until level 6 and once you get your ultimate you can begin to secure kills in lane or roam for picks / ganks in other lanes.
Keep farming as much as possible, whenever possible - CS is the bread and butter for your gold income. What you have to remember here though is that you are an assassin and require snowballing in order to get the most out of Akali. The best way to do this is with kills. You are now level 6+ and playing an aggressive champion, it is time to go and gank other lanes and use your strength to not only get fed but also help your teammates to secure their lanes.
Bot lane is the preferable lane that you can gank and are most likely to pick up the kills you need. An ADC is much more easily bursted down than a top lane Riven, Renekton, Darius, Gangplank etc.. for example. Don't ignore a Top Lane gank altogether but use your common sense at any given moment you are going to roam and decide where you should go to. Is your top laner low on HP and looks like the enemy might dive him, perhaps it might be a good idea for you to go and 'clean up' the kills. The same goes for bot lane.
To summarize levels 6-9 and into mid game: Farm as much as you can, roam as much as you, secure as many kills as you can. Be greedy with the kills !! Be sure to place wards.
It's mid game. You should by now at least have your core items Hextech Gunblade & Zhonya's Hourglass. If you are behind, you need to keep farming as a priority and consider picking up a defensive item. If you are ahead or even you should continue to farm as much as possible but concentrate on trying to secure kills with your team-mates.
At this point in the game other players will begin to roam and group up for ambushes, ganks or to secure and objective (Towers, Dragon, Rift Herald etc..) Large scale Team-fights and smaller skirmishes will begin to occur. Victory or Loss of these fights at this stage can sway the outcome of the game. Don't underestimate how important the objectives are, in the end this is how we win the game & it won't matter how many kills you have when a nexus falls.
You will want to keep vision on the map and try your best not to get caught alone, therefore potentially giving away free kills/objectives.
In the skirmishes and team-fights you will want to focus the 'HIGHEST' priority carry on the enemy team: AP Carry or AD Carry. It's likely that they will have a least some amount of peel so keep an eye out for them to be out of position or otherwise engaged.
Try to keep your CS up... Roughly every 19 CS is the same in gold as 1 kill.
First things first, in order to be of any use to your team - you need to be alive! Don't get caught face-checking bushes, wandering alone without knowing where the enemies are, foolish engages etc..
Akali excels at assassinating enemy carries and this stays true to the end of the game. In a team-fight you will want to assassinate one of the enemy squishy carries, preferably the one with the highest priority (the biggest threat potential to your team). It is possible for you to engage but be sure your team is in a position to follow up on it. You can use your Twilight Shroud after engaging to buy some time or even use your Zhonya's Hourglassto let your team catch-up with your engage. Be sure to stick on the one target if possible unless you have to dis-engage.
Sometimes the enemy team comp will include champions like Lulu, Kayle, Tahm Kench etc... or something like Malzahar and this will likely make assassinating a carry impossible in a team-fight. If this happens, you will need to hope your team can blow the enemies CC and peel, hope for picks or simply just focus on whoever your team goes on.
