Hello, thank you for viewing this guide. My name is Theleon, my region is EUNE. This guide is a quick one, but you will get enough knowledge on Master Yi.

Make sure to check the notes I have put up on the items and runes, and read more below :)

A bit of info

This is a simple guide and I hope you get a quick idea of how strong yi is with this build. The only thing you need to be able to carry with yi is good positioning and patience. If you snowball early, then you pretty much have won the game already if you make the correct steps. But always be aware of the map and have wards. Once I had 20/0 and I lost the game to a vel'koz's ulti, when I had baron and three dragons, all the team went to quick push and we got wiped out because of no vision by one champion.(hate vel'koz and all ap champions...)

Pros / Cons

Pros:

- Lots of damage.
- 1v5.
- Fun to play.

Cons:

- High risk.
- Hard to play.
- CC=death.

Quick Tips

#1. Never engage with alpha strike, unless it's sure oneshot.
It's better to approach with ulti or just walk hit and then alpha if they flash.

#2. When you have passive(double strike) you can move from a target to another one to hit it. This is useful in camp clearing. Most Yi players stay in one place when they attack. You should always move while hitting.(<-- this is quite important, learning to move correctly in jungle will make you lose less health.)

#3. Always check the map and your teammates' health bars. I have my teammates' icons above the map so I can see everything in one check.

Camp clearing

If you start on blue side then go:

Red -> Wolves -> Blue.

And go counter jungle.

Or

Get Red and gank a lane.

If you start on red side then go:

Blue -> Wolves -> Red and gank a lane, or see things and get the crab.

How to get ahead in levels and gold

This is very simple but people don't do it.

When ganking, you can push the lane if you have killed the enemy laner. By doing that you help both your laner to recall faster and you make the enemy lose experience and gold. And with that you get more gold and exp.

But have in mind that if your laner is behind you shouldn't reap him all of his farm. Plus, if you are playing in an elo like Bronze, Silver, Gold people get mad without understanding why you do this. (but don't give them any attention, go ahead and mute them if they get annoying)
