Trinity Force

Always build this item on Jax. If gives Jax movement speed, cdr, attack speed & burst with Sheen proc. Trinity Force is a huge power spike for Jax

Titanic Hydra

Another core item on Jax. This gives him really good wave clear which Jax does not have.
It offers another Auto-Attack reset which can burst squishy targets. Titanic Hydra offers alot of health, making Jax more tanky.

Sterak's Gage

Sterak's Gage is a very good item on Jax. It offers a massive shield, ALOT of AD and even more Health.
Trinity Force, Titanic Hydra & Sterak's Gage make Jax very hard to deal with when split pushing & dueling.

Essence Reaver

Essence Reaver is a very popular item on Jax right now. The passive turns Jax into a raid boss. In recent patch they made Essence Reaver 3'000 gold.
If you are ahead on Jax this item is great for snowballing.

Randuin's Omen

Randuin's Omen is a very good item on Jax.
It gives Jax even more health & armour. You also get -20% from critical strike basic attacks. This makes it very hard for ADC's to kill you along with your Counter Strike.
The active makes it even easier to stick on to targets with the AOE slow. It has been a apart of Jax build for a long time.

Guardian Angel

Extra damage, Extra armour & a revive, making it even harder to shut Jax down.

Thornmail

Bramble Vest is great against Fiora, Aatrox, Dr. Mundo, Tryndamere etc..
Get Bramble Vest early vs Fiora & Aatrox.

Adaptive Helm

Adaptive Helm is great against Teemo, Ryze, Cassiopeia, Zyra etc..

Jax in my opinion is the best splitpusher in the game.

Turret Destroyer

My playstyle on Jax is FARM FARM FARM.
I take every resource I can.
As soon as I have Trinity Force & Tiamat I start taking any resource possible.

Scuttle Crab? Take it.
Enemy Golems? Take them.
Ally Gromp? Take it.
Enemy Nexus? Destroy it.

I prioritize farm over everything else.
Always remember that about 15 minions is worth the same as a kill.

When to splitpush?

Always splitpush when possible unless an important objective is free.
You want to splitpush to avoid fighting as 5v5 because Jax is not a strong team fighter unless he is super ahead.

As Jax you want to create map pressure and force atleast 2 people to come and stop you.
This enables your team to do other objectives around the map.

If you have taken Top turret & have Teleport available, you want to rotate bottom lane and start split pushing. This will make it easier for your team to secure rift herald and baron.
