I came from a MOBA that was called Paragon but unfortunately, Epic Games shut down the servers. I was a platinum player in Paragon and mained mid lane. This is my second guide, so I am still learning and would love all feedback I can get! I love mid and top, and I love exploring champions. I recently consulted a friend who mains Gangplank and think that I have put together a good guide based on his information! As unpredictable as he is brutal, the dethroned reaver king known as Gangplank is feared far and wide. Where he goes, death and ruin follow, and such is his infamy and reputation that the merest sight of his black sails on the horizon causes panic among even the hardiest crew.

Having grown rich preying upon the trade routes of the Twelve Seas, Gangplank has made himself many powerful enemies. In Ionia, he incurred the wrath of the deadly Order of Shadow after ransacking the Temple of the Jagged Knife, and it is said that the Grand General of Noxus himself has sworn to see Gangplank torn asunder after the pirate stole the Leviathan, Swain’s personal warship and the pride of the Noxian fleet.

While Gangplank has incurred the wrath of many, none have yet been able to bring him to justice, despite assassins, bounty hunters, and entire armadas being sent after him. He takes grim pleasure in the ever-increasing rewards posted for his head, and makes sure to nail them to the Bounty Board in Bilgewater for all to see whenever he returns to port, his ships heavy with loot.

In recent times, Gangplank has been brought down by the machinations of the bounty hunter Miss Fortune. His ship was destroyed with all of Bilgewater watching, killing his crew and shattering his aura of invincibility. Now that they have seen he is vulnerable, the gangs of Bilgewater have risen up, fighting amongst themselves to claim dominion over the port city.

Despite receiving horrific injuries in the explosion, Gangplank survived. Sporting a multitude of fresh scars, and with a newly crafted metal arm to replace his amputated limb, he is now determined to rebuild his strength, reclaim what he sees as rightfully his – and to ruthlessly punish all those who turned against him.

Gangplank - The Saltwater Scourge Caster, Melee, Damage, Unique Speciality: Global damage About Gangplank? Gangplank is a very unique champion, he has lots of independent mechanics that other champions don't have like his Powder Keg and global ultimate Cannon Barrage.

Pros

+ Gets items quicker + Strong late game + Cleanses CC with his W + Ranged ability + Global ultimate + Armor pen on his barrels

Gangplank is an excellent champions and is very fun once you get good at him. He has many amazing and unique abilities and can help secure kills, however, you don't want to steal kills from your team as you can't carry them.

Cons

- No kill pressure early game - Glass cannon - Reliant on teammates - Late game reliant - You must hit your barrel to deal damage - Easy to dive under tower

As per all champions, Gangplank has his strengths, and his weaknesses. Gangplank has no kill pressure early game so you need to farm and get ahead. If your teammates are behind, you can't solo carry the game. Gangplank's early game is sub-par and if you don't get into late game, you wont do much. Lastly, if you don't hit your barrel, you wont do much damage.

KLEPTOMANCY ✦ Kleptomancy Kleptomancy will increase your income even more and it can give you a consumable which will provide even more use to Time Warp Tonic.

BISCUIT DELIVERY ✦ Biscuit Delivery Biscuit Delivery will keep you in-lane longer to farm and get ahead of your enemy. Time Warp Tonic will increase the biscuits duration and grant movement speed.

TIME WARP TONIC ✦ Time Warp Tonic Time Warp Tonic will increase the duration of your Corrupting Potion and your Total Biscuit of Everlasting Will which will help keep you in lane, use less potions and grant you movement speed to catch enemies or retreat back to your tower a little bit quicker.

Trial by Fire Gangplank's next basic attack burns the target, dealing 55 - 225 (based on level) (+ 100% bonus AD) bonus true damage over 2.5 seconds, with each tick occurring every 0.25 seconds. Turrets receive 50% reduced damage.

Parrrley Gangplank shoots the target enemy with his pistol, dealing physical damage and applying on-hit effects. Parrrley can critically strike, dealing 100% AD bonus physical damage.

Remove Scurvy Gangplank consumes a large quantity of citrus fruit, removing all crowd control affecting him and healing himself.

Powder Keg PASSIVE: Gangplank stores a charge of Powder Keg periodically, up to a maximum of 3 stored at once.

ACTIVE: Gangplank places a Powder Keg at the target location for 25 seconds, which connects to other nearby Powder Kegs.

Gangplank and his enemies can attack the Powder Keg with their basic attacks, dealing 1 damage per hit. Gangplank may also shoot the barrel with Parrrley. If Gangplank scores the killing blow, it explodes, also triggering a chain reaction that explodes nearby connected kegs. If killed by an enemy, the keg is safely dismantled.

An exploding keg deals the attack's damage to all nearby enemies, plus bonus damage against champions, ignoring 40% of their armor, as well as slowing them for 2 seconds. Enemies can only be damaged once.

Cannon Barrage Gangplank signals his ship off-shore to fire upon the target area for 8 seconds, calling down 12 waves of cannonballs in clusters of 3 every 2 seconds, and Sight icon revealing it for the duration. Each wave deals magic damage to all enemies within the area and Slow icon slows them by 30% for 0.5 seconds.

• Remove Scurvy can cleanse yourself of nearsighted CC such as Smoke Screen, Paranoia and Blinding Assault.
• Before level 7, Powder Keg timer decays 2 seconds, at level 7, Powder Keg timer decays 1 second and at level 13, Powder Keg timer decays .5 seconds.
• You can Phantom Barrel with Powder Keg. To do this, walk up to an already placed barrel, press "Q" and "E" at the same time. This is not the most useful but can catch enemies of guard at times.

You generally want to max Parrrley first because it allows you to increase your gold and silver serpent gain faster, but if you think you need extra damage on your barrels then you can max Powder Keg first. You want to max Remove Scurvy last unless you are being camped in-lane by the enemy team.
