Irelia
Irelia can easily stun you and stay onto you really easily since Orianna is very immobile. Zhonya's is recommended after Luden's. Try to farm under tower and try not to give her any kills for free. Or at all.

Orianna is fairly strong early game, so try to harass as much as possible, without getting yourself killed. Auto a lot since Clockwork Windup deals tons of damage early. Use your ball to zone the opponent and poke them down if they try to cs.
Mid Game as Orianna
At this point of the game, you should have Luden's Tempest, Sorcerer's Shoes or some form of full boots and a third full item, ex. Morellonomicon. As long as you're not in serious danger of getting killed, try to play as aggressively as you can and try to secure towers and roam.
If you're losing, just farm up and try to get a good Command: Shockwave in teamfights. Orianna scales really well, so mid game isn't devastating for her if you happen to start losing.
Late Game as Orianna
Try not to get caught out since you're probably the most valuable player on the team due to your ult being game changing. Group with your team and poke with Command: Attack] and Command: Dissonance and if possible, Command: Shockwave if it can win the fight. Try not to waste it.
Flash is the summoner spell you take on almost all champions. Used to get out of danger or get in range for abilities to secure a kill. |
Barrier is a defensive summoner spell which you can take against counters if necessary. It's on a shorter cool down than Heal and it does better against Ignite due to not being reduced by Grevious Wounds. |
Ignite is the summoner spell you'd normally take on Orianna and it's very strong in lane since she is a very dominant laner. |
Teleport is decent on Orianna if you think you'll need an early back. Very useful if you use Unsealed Spellbook |
Orianna is viable with a lot of different rune sets and keystones. Most of the runes are personal preference and depend on the matchups.
Phase Rush is very easy to proc on Orianna and it has a lot of synergy with Command: Dissonance. This is a very strong choice, probably better than Aery if you're looking to play more aggressively. |
Manaflow Band is really easy to stack because of the pressure Orianna's ball has and how easy it is to poke/punish using Command: Attack |
Absolute Focus is pretty strong with Orianna because she already deals a lot of damage, so Absolute Focus may even give her one shot potential. |
Transcendence is really good with Orianna because it'll give her 10% cooldown, allowing her to throw out more damage in team fights. With Luden's Tempest, Zhonya's Hourglass and Cosmic Insight you should already be at 45% CDR. |

Scorch allows you to do a bit more damage while poking. This makes Orianna even more of a dominant lane champion than she would be without it. | Gathering Storm is very strong as the game continues and makes Orianna very strong since she already scales well into late game. |
