Champion Build Guide
New rework, new me! Shaco is actually viable now. I've mained the clown for a while before the rework, so trust me when I say ITS SO GOOD. Welcome all returning clowns, and hello to anyone new to Shaco!
With the rework came some major changes to his kit. Lethality is dead (but you still need Duskblade), Trinity Force was nerfed on Shaco, and building full AD causes you to fall off. That's why you'll see more Bruiser/Crit/AP builds rather than full AD.
Crit Shaco is definitely my favorite build, and pre-rework I spent some time theorizing what the best crit build might be. Well, here it is! With this build you'll be demolishing from the early game to the late game. Have fun terrorizing players on the Rift!
I'm currently Mastery level 7 with almost 300,000 Mastery points. I've played Shaco Top, Mid, JG, and Supp.
Your level 3 kill potential is very strong. Make sure to gank lanes early since now Shaco actually can. You want to snowball as fast as you can. When ganking, place a box behind the enemy to fear their escape (if you think they have flash, place the box further behind to compensate). Placing a box does not reveal you; you only "shimmer". You need to combo quickly after box placement (a simple Q > W > Backstab > Tiamat > AA > E). Try not to use your E until they're below 30% health. There's no indicator, so just practice guessing. If they flash away, oh well. If they flash into your box, NUT!
Objectives become easy to take once you hit level 6, just make sure to always keep a control ward with you. Make sure the dragon/herald targets your clone (it targets whatever is closest). Put a box in front of the pit to zone it off.
As the game goes on normally you would be falling off, but since you're building crit you should be fine. Just one-shot the enemy carry, take objectives, and splitpush. Your late game combo will be Q > R > Backstab > Tiamat > E. This will kill any squishy.
Domination

Works extremely well with Shaco's new passive. The AS it provides works great with the crit build.

The lethality is nice for a little more AD damage and the Magic Pen really shines with Shaco's new E.

Collect the eyeballs of your enemies = extra AD. Good deal.

The age of building Mobi boots on Shaco is long gone, just take Relentless Hunter and you'll be zooming around the map.
Precision

More Attack Speed. Perfect for faster clearing and increases the effectiveness of the crit build.

Extra damage to help secure kills.

Helps with clearing jungle camps. You can also build Skirmisher's Sabre: Warrior. It's up to you.

Increases your clear speed and is crucial to this build since you're so auto-attack reliant.

Duskblade just works too well with Shaco. Look, I wish we could just skip to Infinity Edge, but we can't. We may not need the lethality anymore but its passive makes it a perfect item for Shaco.

This is where the fun begins. The components may be a little pricey but once you finish the item oh boy does it do DAMAGE.

It provides Attack Speed and extra on-hit damage, while being relatively cheap. Also, Shiv's damage can crit, so it will provide some massive damage for your burst combo.

Your last crit item, which provides a nice flat 70 AD and 20% CDR. The passive isn't particularly useful on Shaco.

Really great for the flat 80 AD. The lifesteal is pretty useful and in general this item helps with splitpushing. This will be the last item you build.
Situational Items: Read Item Notes

You want to max E on Shaco first pretty much on any build. It's just such a good ability now. And no, you no longer need to put more than 1 point into Q early (thank God). Secondly max your Q because you want that extra backstab damage. W will be maxed last since you're not building AP nor are you relying on boxes.
