A good Garen will rush armor and destroy you by saving his q to prevent your heals. A bad garen will rush black cleaver and be squishy enough to be dunked. Also if you get ganked, you are most likely dead because of the silence. If he's behind he's just a free kill, if not try to group instead of 1v1ing him.
Riven
An experienced Riven will always win the lane without your jungler's intervention. Also, she dictates when and where she fights, as well as being able to outscale you. Don't push against a Riven because if the jungler comes you are 100% Dead, unless both of them are below half hp or something. Rush a ninja tabis and randuins, and hope that they suck at Riven, because this matchup is very difficult especially once she gets max cdr.
Gnar
Try to not get zoned and merc treads are a must. At level 1 just try to get lvl 2 as soon as possible, then pull him and kill him. At level 6, you MUST dodge his CC or you are dead. Jungle ganks from his team are impossible to escape if he bought a frozen mallet. If he rushed a BC then you can easily duel him but if not just try to play safe.
Kled
This guy is cancer to fight, but it's winnable. Dodge his Q and dont waste your ult on Skaarl. Also your passive is useless on him because he will just dismount and then rebuild his courage. If you're losing youre ****ed, if youre winning then you can bully him once you have Black Cleaver but don't tower dive him ever. In teamfights your job is to peel him off your ADC or you lose because of his massive damage and mobility.
Irelia
Fairly easy if the irelia is playing passive. If they know how to counter you and play around your Q, then you'll probably lose. Never 1v1 her late game, you'll just get stunned and killed. If losing get randuins and stay away from her, if not then try to zone her from getting triforce.
Darius
Try to dodge his q's and hit yours. If you can't, then atleast try to pull him when he does to deny him the heal. Whoever can get Noxian Might proced first will win in a 1v1, unless the jungler comes. Ask for ganks if he's overly aggressive. If you're losing just get armor and try to farm at tower. With BC+Randuins you should be able to 1v1 him if you arent too behind.
Illaoi
Pretty easy to kill pre-6 if you don't get E'd and slapped by 2+ tentacles. Post-6 you will never win unless you can kill her with ult quickly. Try to build armor and kill tentacles to win lane. Also don't ask for ganks unless she has no ult, otherwise she will just 1v2 and kill both of you. In teamfights, don't pull her into your team or it will lead to your teams demise.
Jayce
This guy is cancer, if he knows what to build then you can't win. Try to farm under tower and dodge Qs. With jungler help you shouldnt be too behind. In mid-late game, he'll have his core items and 1shotting your adcs. Don't chase him because he runs at like Mach 10 with ghostblade+W.
Mordekaiser
Just ****ing afk, you won't win no matter what even with ganks. If your team can't carry you it's GG.
Akali
After the removal of pink wards, she's significantly harder to kill before level 9. If she goes full AP, you can win in a 1v1 with visage and mercs. If she goes tank, try to get a hexdrinker instead so that you can kill her faster. Regardless, she is very annoying and should be treated with caution.
Renekton
Difficult matchup, but it can be won. Always rush armor vs him unless he ****ed up and died early. In a 1v1, you HAVE to hit your outer Q and ult him quickly or you will die. Due to his stun and mobility a gank from their jungler is almost certain death, but atleast you'll outscale him.
Nasus
If its a lane pressure nasus wannabe then you should be 12/0 by the time laning phase is over. If it's a CDR runes frozen heart rush nasus, you're ****ed. Try to freeze wave to zone him of farm, don't push to his tower because his wither makes you useless.
Fizz
AP Fizz is an easy win after visage+mercs. Tank Fizz is incredibly annoying and difficult to duel.
Simple as that, jungler can't help you here.
Malphite
LOL ff 20
Nautilus
Zone him early, but be prepared to 1v2 if their jungler comes as you can't escape without flash.
Yorick
If you don't get a few early kills, then good luck is all I have to say.
Gangplank
A bad gp is just free food, but a good gp is a challenge to lane against. Try to farm up until you have armor then you can try killing him. Once he gets Triforce+Swifties he'll be uncatchable and his ult is annoying too.
Wukong
Shouldn't be too difficult, just dont get cheesed at level 2 and you can beat him. Care of his teamfight potential though.
Xin Zhao
Do not fight him before level 6 if you are even with him. He'll outscale you, so ask for ganks as he has no escapes.
Yasuo
Once he gets a zeal item and IE, you can't 1v1 him. but you have a chance
to kill him before 6. If he's not building tanky coordinated ganks should be able to shut him down.
Quinn
GL trying to cs without losing half your hp, try to pull her and you get knocked back. Jungler comes? she ults and runs away at supersonic speeds.
Vayne
Before the removal of pinks, she was manageable with jungle help (she couldnt condemn both of you) but now she cant be pinned down because of invis. Not only will she win lane, but she'll also outscale you.
Singed
Rush MR and ignore him. Let your jungler get fed off him while you push or roam.
Poppy
Hard, but not unwinnable. If shes passive, then just freeze wave and zone her from cs. If shes aggressive, then try not to get ganked and play around her passive and E. In teamfights, her ult will prevent you from catching ADCS, so try to peel for yours instead.
Aurelion Sol
**** this guy's harrass and roam and cc and burst and peramslow with rylais. Your only chance is taking ghost flash and stormraiders and hoping that he doesn't ask his jungler for help.
Lee Sin
He usually doesn't go top but as a jungler he makes your life hell. He has endless mobility, you can't heal off him and he can peel you off adcs. However his damage DOES fall off.
Kennen
You lose. He does everything better than you, the only thing you have over him is tankiness.
Shen
His only chance is to ask for jungle ganks, and you can 1v2 easily.
Maokai
Sunfire rush maokai is annoying, he can't kill you but you can't kill him either. Be careful for ganks because he can cc you very hard, and his damage reduction ult makes it impossible to 1v2.
Jarvan IV
His burst is nothing to laugh at, but once he engages he can't escape. If he ults you flash because their jungler is probably ganking you.
Ivern
The bane of your existance, endless cc and utility as well as tankiness. Thankfully, he can't kill you by himself so if he's the only one doing good you should win.
Camille
Outscales you, has good ganks and true damage, a shield and mobility. Don't let her free farm and don't get ganked, shouldn't be too difficult.
Ekko
He can never kill you 1v1, play around his skillshots and you easily win. He will be really hard to kill late game though
Tryndamere
You get outscaled hard and he can just farm up vs you without dying.. If you go even or behind he WILL destroy you after 2 items. If you get ahead he will be useless until 30+ minutes, so end the game quickly.
Rengar
Whoever gets an early lead wins this lane. Don't waste pull or W on his Empowered Roar. Control wards+ armor should remedy his snowballing, his only chance is to roam unless you feed him cause of ganks or something.
Teemo
Easy, take ghost flash stormraiders or you can just take Courage of the Colossus and Teleport (This is only recommended if the enemy jungler can punish you for taking ghost flash)
Jax
Bait out his E, rush tabis+phage= won lane. Don't get caught by ganks and end the game before ~30 min and u win. ggez
Hey guys, here to bring you a darius guide. I won't be going into depth about who I am or what my rank is, but basically I'm a darius main since season 5 and he is the champ that got me to platinum. Let's begin!
Pros / Cons
Pros / Cons
Pros-
Good damage
Decently tanky
Snowballs well
Lane Dominance
Sustain
Tank Killer (Armorpen, true damage)
Cons-
Very easily kited
Long cooldowns early game
Very prone to being ganked because of no escapes
Binary play-style (simple, with little room to outplay enemies)
Being hated for playing Darius (not as much as being a Yasuo or Riven main, but still)
Large champion hitbox (difficult to dodge skillshots)
Items
Items
Darius's build is actually pretty simple.
You always want to get Black Cleaver, that item is literally perfect for Darius. Get it first if ahead, and 2nd if behind after a defensive item. Typically, you'd want to build 5 defensive items on Darius, at most you will have 2 offensive items. You need to be able to survive as long as possible, so always opt for tank items that counter the enemy's main damage.
His build is decently flexible, as his base damage AND ad ratios are very good. There are few items that flat out do not work as Darius, although an optimal build usually consists of the same items.
Ranked Play
Ranked Play
In Ranked, he'll most likely be banned as his ban rate is very high in low elo. If he's not banned, try not to firstpick him as he is easily countered, and he can't fit into a Full AD or squishy teamcomp. He works best with other tanks that can engage for him. If the enemy picks Darius, you should be able to beat him because you know how he works.
Spells
Spells
Passive- Hemorrhage: It's very useful for trading and all-inning enemies, the AD Ratio is very high and with a Black Cleaver, you can shred the enemies' armor fully with just one auto-attack or spell. Be careful when tower diving as the bleed may aggro the turret before you are ready. It might also mess up your csing, so keep that in mind. When you get 5 stacks of it on an enemy champion, you gain 40-200 AD based on your level and the bleed increases in damage. This is extremely important in 1v2s and teamfights, if you can apply it to the entire enemy team you're most likely to win.
Q- Decimate: This is your best ability, start it and max it always. It has a decent base damage, great scaling and a good heal too. Don't spam it in lane as it pushes the lane and you will be punished for 9s. Late game, with max CDR it's up every 3 seconds and the mana cost will be low so spam it.
W- Crippling Strike: This is a powerful 90% slow that lasts for 1 second. It also resets your auto-attack so always use that to get as many bleed stacks as possible.
E- Apprehend: An aoe pull that reveals an area and slows for 40%. Only use this to get picks, secure a kill, or cancel someone's spell to save yourself. Max second so that it's up more often.
R- Noxian Guillotine: A targeted unavoidable true damage execute. It's base damage is pitiful, so only use if the enemy is very low or has 4+ stacks on them. Very good for 1v2ing or cleaning up low enemies.
Summary
Summary
In lane, you act as a strong lane bully who wants to make the enemy top useless and then transfer that advantage to other lanes. A fed darius who took 2 towers a dragon and has 2 items is very scary and can crush the enemy morale. It's not uncommon to literally get 10 S's in a row with him. However, you have to realise he has his weakness and therefore shouldn't be blindly picked.
Alot of people consider him easy to play and overpowered. However, he's not that overpowered in this meta, and while he is easy to play against an average player you'll get crushed vs high elo players if you don't play careful.
Overall, Darius is a good champion to play in Bronze-Low Diamond if you want to have fun dominating lane, being tanky and getting pentakills.
